One of my younger cousins go here, and he absolutely loves it, and from what I can tell, this is a…read morereally great school. All my little cousin talks about is about motivated mustangs and the different clubs to join. He also tell me about all the sports divisions they provide. Every time that I pick him up from school, he talks about what he learns. Yeah they are kinda learning things that could maybe be put off a year, but it's good because it's beneficial for their learning and if they're good at hard stuff now, they'll be a pro at it later. That's what I think the plan is here at Mater Academy Mountain Vista. The teachers are also very understanding and cooperative including coaches. Especially Ms. Shelton (2022) I believe she's the volleyball coach, and I hear she does a lot more than that. She's the music teacher, sports manager, elementary student council president. It's so many things that these teachers do to show they are committed into their job and they're willing to take the time to work with students and help them be the best they can be. Mrs. Carbajah (2022) is a wonderful lady and she makes this school great ! From what I hear she's been here at this school since the beginning and has helped it improve over the years. This shows even more how committed all the staff of Mater Academy is. I also love how they have socials to keep families posted on the daily of what going on. This school is just truly amazing and honestly I wish I went here as a kid.

(mcarthy) BS: I go to the school if you're thinking of sending your kid over here It's not a bad idea Just make sure they're being treated how they deserve to be treated.

Worst. Decision. Ever. - A Never-Ending Nightmare at Clare County Adult Education…read moreThe Unseen Truth Behind Clare County Adult Education: A Look Behind the Curtain If I could give Clare County Adult Education zero stars, I absolutely would. This place is an absolute black hole for your time, effort, and any hope of actually graduating. I've been trapped in their endless cycle for years, and it's nothing short of a scam. They lure you in with promises of getting your diploma, but then it's class after class after class, with no end in sight. They kept telling me my credits weren't "graded" or "counted," even after I spent countless hours in their classrooms. Then, suddenly, "Oh, these are different classes now, you have to take these. Are we changed our counselors, or your teacher retired and did not grade your classes. Or these glasse they don't want us to teach in school so they were not graded. " It feels like a deliberate strategy to keep you paying and stuck in their system indefinitely. The teachers? Forget about it. They are completely irresponsible and frankly, careless. It's like they're just phoning it in, with no genuine concern for whether students are actually learning or progressing. There's zero personalized attention or even basic guidance. You're just a number, another body filling a seat. I've been going there for what feels like a lifetime, and for some reason, they even mentioned some connection to a campus in Las Vegas? What does that even have to do with my inability to graduate here in Clare County? It's just another confusing, unhelpful detail in this whole frustrating ordeal. Do yourself a massive favor and run, don't walk, away from Clare County Adult Education. They are not there to help you graduate; they are there to keep you in a perpetual state of "almost." Save your money, save your time, and find a place that actually cares about its students' success. It's disheartening when an institution designed to uplift and educate seems to operate with a hidden agenda. My experience at Clare County Adult Education feels less like a path to graduation and more like a carefully orchestrated performance, designed to keep students enrolled indefinitely rather than guiding them to success. From the outside, they present a picture of opportunity and support. But behind the scenes, it's a different story. The credit system seems deliberately opaque, with explanations shifting and previously earned hours mysteriously not counting. It creates a constant state of uncertainty, leading to more and more classes without a clear progression toward a diploma. This isn't just about individual teachers being "careless"; it feels like a systemic issue, designed to keep students in a perpetual cycle of enrollment. It's almost as if there's a strategic disarray in how courses are managed and how student progress is tracked. The constant introduction of "new" required classes, after years of dedicated effort, raises serious questions about the school's true commitment to its students' timely completion. When you're consistently told your efforts haven't been "graded" or "counted" after putting in the work, it speaks to a deeper, more troubling issue than simple oversight. This lack of transparency and apparent strategic ambiguity makes me wish someone could truly see what's happening behind the scenes at Clare County Adult Education. It's a disservice to every student who walks through their doors with genuine aspirations for a brighter future.

They began as SWOT (scholars working overtime) The premise is give us your child for an extra hour a day and we will get them to and through the college of their dreams. The program leased out campuses on the Eastside (Keller ES, Keller MS and Eldorado HS) the students always excelled and finally in the beginning of 2015 through the Board of Education we finally got a place to call home and Equipo Academy was built. The area of town or your families income should not take away from the quality of education our children receive. At the Equipo Academy the educators not only want your child to have a dipoloma they also want them to all have scholarships and go on to college. The teachers are always available and do an outstanding job of communicating. The students can earn amazing field trips which in the past included trips to colleges in the Washington DC and S. California areas along with learning about the landmarks and history of that region. My son will be part of the first graduating class in 2018. Equipo Academy currently enrolls grades 6-11 and starting next year 2017/18 grades 6-12. At Equipo Academy they prove everyday that "Impossible is Not"

That was 2 months ago and til this day NOTHING has been done. I have sent the principal messages and they go unanswered. Her dad has gonr to the school and still no answers. They have really dropped the ball this year and I won't be sending jer back next year.
