From my first contact with the staff and administration, you could tell this place was about providing a nurturing and excellent environment to the children. This school really does foster diversity. It's not just words that are used in advertisement. They foster those values in the classroom and everyone is made to feel included in all they do. In short, they practice what they preach. The academics are excellent. I'm a believer in giving children a balanced learning environment. Hundreds of hours of homework does not make a child enjoy learning. I like that there is work time and play time appropriate for the age. And honestly, at these grade levels, too much homework equates to extra work for the parents. This school chooses an appropriate amount of work for each grade level. My son has thrived since moving to this school. FLA has been a true blessing to our family. I'm so happy we found this school and I'm forever grateful to all the teachers and administrative staff. My son once again has a love for school.

The front office people are all rude, the school is not that clean or fun. Right when I went inside safekey to pickup my child, the teacher was yelling and cursing at my kid because she spilt one drop of mango wango juice. And then I see this kid becoming bill nye and pouring a pack of ranch mixed with dragon passion juice together and pouring it on another one of my autistic child's head. Unacceptable. Then, I heard kids are vaping and my child came home saying that it was weewee growing juice? What the hell. I caught him vaping outside when I went to pick him up. Mind you this kid still drinks breast milk? I hate this school. Don't take your child here.

There's a level of care and awareness here that goes beyond curriculum and shows up in how students are supported day to day. The environment feels calm, respectful, and focused. Communication has been clear and consistent, and when questions or needs arise, the team is responsive and thoughtful in how they handle them. What I appreciate most is that the school recognizes that students don't all learn or grow in the same way. There's flexibility and understanding built into the structure, which allows students to stay engaged without feeling pressured into a one-size-fits-all system. Overall, Journey Education feels like a place where students are seen, supported, and given the space to develop at their own pace. We've been grateful for the experience. I would love to see a foreign language offering added in the future.

The small class sizes make a huge difference because every child really gets individual attention and support. The teachers truly care about the students and are very involved in helping them grow both academically and personally. One thing I really appreciate about the school is the strong sense of community. The staff is welcoming, communication with parents is great, and it genuinely feels like the teachers and administrators are invested in each child's success. My son has built confidence, strong friendships, and a love for learning during his time here. Journey also does a great job of focusing on character, kindness, and leadership, not just academics. It's a safe, supportive environment where kids can really thrive. I'm very grateful we found this school and highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing and academically strong place for their children.

Thank You to the front office staff, like Ms. Roxy, the teachers (our son had the best teachers,…read moreMrs. Cox, Mrs. Watanabe, Mrs. Allavi- no longer there, Mrs. Carlos, Mrs. Derby, and Ms. Johnson), the Vice Principal, and the Principal, Mr. Derasmo; I must say since he has been with this school, so many things have improved. I must also mention the speech teacher, Ms. DiGiambattista; she worked with him at every grade level and he was released/graduated from his IEP later in the year, 5th grade. Thank You to her, as well. Mr. O'Sullivan introduced Ukelele Club to the school, and we attended the concert this past tuesday morning. Thanks to him. I must also mention the Librarian, Ms. Witalka, for her years of service. She assists students with the Book Fairs, which seemed to be a bit more frequent than in my day (twice a year). Today was the fifth grade Promotion ceremony. After hearing all of the speeches, I was getting reminded that our son has been attending this school since Kindergarten, with Mrs. Cox, so for six years, our son has been here, and it is bittersweet (he is moving on to middle school). I am so glad that we moved to the area, and enrolled him into this school. He had so many good teachers! I want to give everyone Kudos here! (Not many people know me, they know my husband more, since he is the day to day go-to parent. But I really want to express our gratitude for your contribution in shaping young minds. The teaching culture is very strong here.) Ms. Johnson, our son's fifth grade teacher, was phenomenal, incorporating fun into her lessons. Her classroom's theme was Star Wars. She had some challenges but she worked through all of them and really put her heart and soul into teaching. She promised the class if they all made an improvement, a goal that they'd work towards, that she'd reward them with a Panda Express Party. This was with her own money. We really appreciate her. This year also had two field trips, to their possible middle school, Lawrence, and to the Smith Center, to see a presentation. I will also mention the Fun Run and Olympics Field Day (the classes represented a country, like Sri Lanka), that was fun to see. I am lucky that hubby has taken lots of video, so we can remember these moments, to relive them, so to speak. Also, his pictures for the Raiders Camp were used in the Yearbook. Again, we express our sincere gratitude to all of you there at Roger M. Bryan who impacted our son's life in a positive way. Many many thanks to you!

My daughter did not enjoy this school because staff and teachers were very rude to her, and she came home everyday with something new to complain about. She took yearbook photos and as I was looking at her and her class I seemed to notice that everyone's picture was bright and colorful while hers is dark and grey and dull.
