I've had two daughters graduate from here very proud of both of them! Teacher and staff are very helpful and seem to care about their students. unfortunately there is a lot of police activity because it's located in a slower and neighborhood. But they do seem to maintain the Safety and Security of the school.

    Toilets don't flush, ugh!

The nurses office is a joke. My friend had an experience where they made them put alcohol on a q-tip on a chemical burn! They had to do it by themselves fyi. Practically no adults are good in this school. Not to mention being yelled at for not standing up during the pledge. It is completely fine to not stand up during. The school lunch sucks. The school stinks. They don't know how to fix pipes. Some teachers are overly terrible, and ignore kids after a misunderstanding instead of letting them talk it out. Not to mention that the students are terrible too. Many of these teachers are not good at teaching any subject at all. Hate the school. The admin are never on your side and even belittle you. They say horrendous things, and don't get me started on how they handle kids that constantly get into fights, have bad grades, and are always in trouble. They don't understand they actually affect the kids that want to learn. The bus systems are so bad. The busses are always late in the mornings. Just making it at 7:30 after the second bell rings, and there is no announcement for our bus. There is never an announcement for our bus. When I get there on time BECAUSE my parents dropped me off they made 2 announcements about 2 late busses. I know for a fact it wasn't mine. The buses have been late for 3 years. One day while waiting at the bus it had been an hour. We called the school asking about our bus, and where it was. They promptly hung up on us. Threatening to take away transportation for EVERY STUDENT on one bus because of a few misbehaving kids is so fucking stupid. Taking away other students only opportunity to go to school and learn. They don't care if they're affecting good students as long as one is bad. There's a campus bus monitor (??) and she's a white lady that's always yelling in kids faces and belittling them. It's so annoying also. Many former students from even 5 years ago feel the same. Nothing has changed except the people working as staff.

There is, in our opinion, no better option than the Meadows School. This is the kind of school that parents in Los Angeles, San Francisco or NYC have to jump through hoops to get their kids into, with massive politics and financial commitments at play. Yet in Vegas, many parents (including on our street) send their kids to Dawson due to its reputation for being easier and more artsy as they are terrified of the academic competitiveness of Meadows. If these same parents were in the Bay Area they'd be doing backflips trying to get their kids into the same sort of school there as Meadows. The campus is amazing. The curriculum is challenging. The kids are happy and very engaged in sports, theater, charity and other after-school activities. The parents are friendly and, especially the "Meadows Moms", work tirelessly to help out. Yes, your kid has to test into each school (K, middle, high). Great, we love a meritocracy rather than forced social promotion. And my daughter will have friends for life as she goes from K thru 12 here.

The current sophomore class experienced a loss of several long-term students between freshman and sophomore year. For a small school like Meadows, that is meaningful. These were not families simply passing through; they had been part of the Meadows community for years. When several long-term families leave from a class in one year, it raises questions about their experience and what is happening within the school community. In my view, the current administration is a major concern. I have also seen changes in the sense of community, along with the loss of long-standing families, faculty, and traditions that once made Meadows special. What is most disappointing is seeing a school that once felt so stable and connected become a place where long-term families are no longer staying. That kind of change doesn't happen without a reason, and it deserves to be recognized.

(*Last year, they were undefeated, in the Regular season. We parked in the front parking lot. Asked some boys about the flag football field, and learned that it was up a long flight of stairs. The preceding day we spent all day at Cowabunga Canyon, where we did a ton of stairs! Their flag football team is solid. Heard that they were playing since May. This was a tough game to watch, because our boys, got their first loss of the Season, at this field. There is a really fast boy, who is not tall, btw, who was always rushing. Our boys needed to shake this off and get ready for the next game. As for the Crowd, the people that were here, who were for Rogich, was not vocal, or lacked energy, maybe because it was a Monday night. Or maybe because we were all baking in the sun, because we were facing the sun the whole time. **Again**, not very many positive reviews here on Yelp.

I am currently in 7th grade. 6th grade: Pretty fun and cool, I was in the bowling and theater club. Almost all of my teachers were very nice to me, but my math teacher at that time made me feel dumb. I won't be able to say the name for certain reasons, but this teacher would sort-of embarass me in front of everyone in the class and would make rude comments about me. There was this one time where I was trying to retake a math test. But as I was working, this teacher said " Hurry up, Charlie. I want to go home." Their tone in the comment made me feel stupid, rushed, and stressed out. 7th grade: Horrible in most ways. I was in the bowling club, and the teachers I had were still nice. But most of the kids there were very annoying, troublemaking, and loud. The overwhelming crowds and bad influences from most of the students made me feel very uncomfortable to the point where I had to get homeschooled after spring break. To any student who is wondering where I am, I'm homeschooled at home and can still come to after school programs/events. However, the principal, staff, and most of my teachers were very kind to me. The electives I had in 7th grade, which was beginning orchestra and student aids, were the best electives ever in my opinion. If you are about to be a 7th or 8th grader, I recommend you choose student aids because you can help a teacher of your choice and have lots of fun and free time to work on unfinished assignments. That was my review on Sig Rogich middle school.

Went to see the production of WONDERLAND at the school last night…read more It was a modern-day retelling of a classic story from Broadway hit-maker Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel). Adult Alice, a modern-day, disillusioned video game developer from New York who is juggling a failing marriage, motherhood, and intense work environmentto the point of challenging her own sense of identity, she follows a rabbit down a service elevator and crashes into a bizarre, upside-down reality. Welcome to WONDERLAND. Alice had to face a sinister, power-hungry Mad Hatter, a Queen of Hearts, and a charismatic Cheshire Cat. Alice's quest to find her lost daughter forces her to confront the greatest mystery of all: how to find the courage and wonder she lost long ago. The girls who played Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter had amazing vocals. All the kids in the show were amazing with their acting, singing and dancing. The orchestra, WOW is all I can say about them. They were fantastic from start to finish. They all did such an amazing and professional job with the entire show, the stage hands, the lighting and sound, it was all like a professional show. High praise for the kids. The staff??? In the lobby, there was this one staff member, strong accent and very long fake lashes who makes one concerned about our future generation. On the table there was a sign that clearly said "SOLD OUT". We got our tickets on House Seats, obviously I had tickets otherwise I would not have been there, I had already talked to this lady once asking where the restroom was when I first arrived. So unless they just let anyone wander in off the streets to use the restroom on a show night??? As I said, we got our tickets on House Seats which means they were free. I wanted to support the kids, the theater program and the school, so I went up to the table and I said; "IF, I were to purchase tickets, how much would they have cost?" This young brilliant adult mind, looks at me, points to the sign, and says, "We are sold out". I'm retired military, I have a business degree, my generation learned how to read and like I said, I didn't just wander in off the streets just because.... I responded with, "I have tickets, which I displayed in case she was confused, I said I know it's sold out, I'm asking what the prices of the tickets would be if I were to buy them? The gentleman next to her quoted a range of price which prompted a short discussion between the two. OMG, I'm afraid for our future generation of kids. I handed the guy $40 to which he asked what it was for? I said a donation for the kids, the program and the school. I guess a lot of people don't think to donate if they got tickets for free which is sad. Programs in schools need our support and if you could have seen the production, it was amazing. Sadly it's becoming less in Public Schools. Their sound/lighting control area was better than some shows I've seen around town. The stage was massive, the props were professionally designed, the kids, from the Technical Director, down to the stage hands and every position in between, this could have easily been a production on the strip, that's how good it was and how amazing of a job the kids did. I will gladly go see a show here anytime and will gladly pay whatever the price is for a ticket and then some, to support such an amazing theater program. And again, the orchestra, one of the best from start to finish.
