My kids have been here for 4 years. Some teachers are amazing, and some are only very good. There is a surprising amount of diversity here, also. Jewish and non-jewish, white, asian, african-american. It's nice to see. The kids are a bit over-indulged at home, but the uniforms and "no-electronics" rule help to overcome that. Also, this is a drug-free campus. Starting in middle school, each child has to sign something permitting random drug tests. I am a big civil rights person, but I like the idea of not worrying about my kids for just a few hours each day. Sometimes I worry about the expense, and what I could do with that money instead. I've heard people say that the public school education isn't that bad... This isn't the place I want to take chances.

4 of my kids have been going to Adelson educational campus for the past 6 years. This year I'm sending my 5th child. I couldn't ask for a better school for them. I have 2 kids in upper school, 2 kids in middle and now my little one will go to Kindergarten there. I'm impressed with their education level and their curriculum. I would recommend this school to everyone. It's not just a school it's your family.

The School uniforms are comfortable and pretty basic. Conducive for a non-distracting learning environment.

This is our only school experience as parents, so keep in mind that we have nothing to compare it to. That being said, I wouldn't even think about sending my child anywhere else! The staff is truly like one big family welcoming you with open arms. It is clear that everyone there has your childs' best interest in mind. -The campus is guard gated, giving you piece of mind about your child's safety. -There is structure and routine in the classes, creating a level of comfort and familiarity for the children. This then translates to the home making our own morning or bed-time routine easier for him to want to follow. -Each day is filled with a combination of different ways to learn the same thing. For example; First a book will be read. Then a song pertaining to that story will be sung, usually with a dance move or two. Then art projects coinciding with the book are done using different tactile skills. I wish I could have had an opportunity to learn this way when I grew up. It is fun to watch my son come home and teach me! -I thoroughly look forward to my emails from his teachers that tell me all about their daily agenda. This way while he's at home, I can ask him the appropriate questions to reinforce what he's been taught at school. -I love that they provide lunch for the kids without any option of bringing lunches from home. This eliminates the chance for them to be jealous of what another kid is eating. Also, there is no exchanging of money. -We took advantage of the after school programming and signed him up for Happy Feet. He gets so excited about having Soccer practice after school on Mondays! -I enjoy that he is being surrounded by Jewish culture, so he can grow up feeling like a proud and confident member of the Jewish community. -The location of the school is absolutely perfect for us, being in Summerlin, it takes exactly 2 and a half minutes to drive there. -Even though school starts at 8am, drop-off starts at 7:40, giving you a 20 minute window to get there. You can either pull up and they will take your child out of the car and walk him to class, or you can park and walk him in yourself. SOOO convenient! As you can see, I literally have no complaints. They have thought of absolutely everything to make our lives as parents easier and the childs' lives more enjoyable, while ultimately striving for the best in educational excellence. A job well done Adelson.

Whether it has to do with education or healthcare (both of which were significantly better in Orange County). I enrolled my child at Shenker after talking to all the parents I would meet at the park in my neighborhood who would sing the school's praises. I am happy to say, Shenker lived up to my expectations. My child does not speak English as his primary language, and I was worried about how that would affect him. Also if I might add, I would get unsolicited comments from other educators concerning my refusal to speak English to my child at home. I am an educator ( I have a Masters in education and another Masters in school counseling) and I knew he would pick up English just as I did. Upon meeting with Dr. Sharon, he agreed with my approach concerning my son learning two languages, and put me at ease. My son has greatly improved academically and socially at Shenker. He is so happy to go to school, and everyone in the front office knows his name, as they do with ALL the students that attend their school. Dr. Sharon has truly been a joy to work with, and I see how much he cares for his staff and for his students at school. He knows every student's name and he works with every family to accommodate their needs. I honestly believe this school's success comes from the top down. I want to thank Shenker and Dr. Sharon for giving me peace of mind in the most important aspect of my life; my child's safety and education. Yours truly, Samvel's mom.

In terms of academics, we are overjoyed with how much hands on learning he is doing in his own classroom and the specialty classes. Most days he comes home with marker, paint, and glue on his uniform -- a sure sign of a great day. The curriculum challenges and interests him and he's encouraged to use his imagination. The ratio of teachers to students is wonderful. When he needs help a teacher is available to guide him. But what really makes this school special is the people. From the moment you walk in you are met with smiling faces, a friendly greeting, the feeling you and your kid belongs. You can see that the teachers and the administrators are happy to be there and that feeling extends to the kids. To see my son skipping in and out of school is magical. The school becomes part of your child's and your community. There are lots of special days and activities to get the kids excited to be a part of something. In addition the STEM teacher, Mrs. Anderson, and the Spanish teacher are excellent. Finally, Ms. Kimberlee is so welcoming and so supportive of all the parents each day. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

This school is wonderful. Parking and pick up can be frustrating sometimes but that's on the lazy parents who do not want to park appropriately and walk a few feet to pick up their children. The staff tho is amazing I've never had any issues or back talk or rudeness from anyone. If my kid wasn't feeling well they would call me immediately. If my kid had an issue with another child they would call me and explain the situation or I could easily text the teacher and she would handle it. The teachers seemed very interested in my kids education as both of them also require IEP for speech delay and autism. I just felt really heard with any concerns and they show genuine interest in my kids me tal well being as well as education I hope they can stay here instead of starting at another school. One teacher I would especially love to recognize is Miss Langman. She is one of the most professional yet fun teachers around. If I was in elementary school, I would want her as my teacher and if I had a kid, I would want her as my kids teacher. She always makes it a fun experience with singing and dancing, even connecting songs and dances to lessons to help the kiddos remember, but also keeps it grounded by doing meditations and affirmations with the kids. She maintains an amazing patience with her kids and always lends a helping hand when teaching. She loves each and every kid and those kids love her. Seeing them grow up and go through different grades and still getting excited to see Miss Langman in the halls is truly heartwarming. Everyone across the school knows her for her hard work, dedication, and just in general brightness. Kids from other kindergarten classes even love coming into her room. She truly pours her heart and soul into this school and these kiddos and it shines through in everything she does each and every day. I truly cannot express enough how much of an amazing teacher she is. She makes school fun and makes the kids excited to come in everyday. Thank you Miss Langman for everything you do for this school and thank you to all the other staff as well that make this school such a great and loving environment. From my first contact with the staff and administration, you could tell this place was about providing a nurturing and excellent environment to the children. This school really does foster diversity. It's not just words that are used in advertisement. They foster those values in the classroom and everyone is made to feel included in all they do. In short, they practice what they preach. The academics are excellent. I'm a believer in giving children a balanced learning environment. Hundreds of hours of homework does not make a child enjoy learning. I like that there is work time and play time appropriate for the age. And honestly, at these grade levels, too much homework equates to extra work for the parents. This school chooses an appropriate amount of work for each grade level. My son has thrived since moving to this school. FLA has been a true blessing to our family. I'm so happy we found this school and I'm forever grateful to all the teachers and administrative staff. My son once again has a love for school.

My child's kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Margolis, was phenomenal. She was upbeat, professional, engaging, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about the students and loved teaching. Unfortunately, things have steadily gone downhill since then. First grade did not meet the expectations I had hoped for, but I never imagined the experience would decline this much. Mrs. Brown is honestly the worst teacher I have ever encountered. She has a very flat affect, lacks engagement with the students, and struggles to teach material in a way children can actually understand and retain. My child has consistently been an honor roll student, so this is not an issue of capability or effort. What has been equally disappointing is the lack of support from administration. The headmaster, Mrs. Johnson, is not approachable and appears completely uninterested in parent concerns or feedback. Attempts to communicate issues feel dismissed rather than addressed. It is incredibly disheartening to watch a school that once felt nurturing and academically strong become such a frustrating experience for both students and parents.
