My son has attended Adeldon for the last 10 years (since he was 2-years-old) and he is now finishing up the 6th grade! What I know for sure, is that he's eager to get up and out the door in the morning, and he always has a smile on his face when I pick him up at 3:15. That says it all. I know that he's safe, behind the guard gated, camera laden walls. He's fed well, with a kosher kitchen, hot meals, and fresh fruit available any time of the day. He is exposed to state-of-the-art technology in the incubator lab with 3-D printers, green screens, robotics, battle bot arena, computer lab, and more. The large indoor swimming pools are heated and utilized year round, starting as early as kindergarten in PE classes, and competitively starting in middle school. Other sports include tennis, soccer, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, golf, baseball, wrestling, and cross country. (That's right, NO football!) The theater and music program is wonderful for kids that are interested in it, because there is less competition when it comes to getting parts, being that it is a smaller school. And now for education, he has homework almost every night which I think is great for reiterating what he's learned at school. He's a straight A&B student. I have access to all of his grades, homework assignments, and test scores through the Veracross website, so there are NO surprises at the end of the semester. Some of his absolute favorite teachers throughout the years have been Stacy Steele, Steven Paquin, Robin Oshins, Debby Levy, Jenn Nails, Christian Caramanica, and Liat Bodaker. I have heard people complain about the turnover rate, but it's because they do not give tenures at this school, which I believe helps keep the teachers on their toes, and allows the school to not hire them back if they are not a good fit. read more

Called to get some information about possible enrolling my son and they told me I needed to set up a tour. So I set one up for the following week and meet with a woman named Ally. Ally was enough but the way she made me feel on the tour was like I was on a used car sales lot and she was not listening to my needs for a school and just trying to sell me on their program. I found her tactic to be rather aggressive and pushy and I brought up a couple other schools that I had planned to tour and she vaguely trashed both of them. I had however heard great things about both The Meadows and Doral. The overall impression I got was that she's just not a very happy person who actually enjoys her job and tries to validate each parents individual need for a child's education. read more

I'm disgusted by integrity of the school. We paid $1700 for my grandson to attend daycare and Adelson Campus is not refunding a penny nor giving any info in regards to tuition refund due to months of closure during coronavirus. No communication. They provide 15 min videos a day trying to compensate for 10 hour physical care and development of the toddler in order not to refund for school closure. Why not let the daycare teachers collect unemployment and refund the parents who paid big money and are not getting the promised care? This way the teachers will be paid and parents won't have to bite the bullet. Adelson was the last one to close his casinos Venetian and Palazzo on Vegas strip. My kids have been here for 4 years. Some teachers are amazing, and some are only very good. There is a surprising amount of diversity here, also. Jewish and non-jewish, white, asian, african-american. It's nice to see. The kids are a bit over-indulged at home, but the uniforms and "no-electronics" rule help to overcome that. Also, this is a drug-free campus. Starting in middle school, each child has to sign something permitting random drug tests. I am a big civil rights person, but I like the idea of not worrying about my kids for just a few hours each day. Sometimes I worry about the expense, and what I could do with that money instead. I've heard people say that the public school education isn't that bad... This isn't the place I want to take chances. read more

Run, don't walk! My daughter went here for 9 years, and it was one of the worst decisions of her life. A terrible waste of $20,000 a year. About half the 8th grade class is not coming back next year. The math program is a basket case on life support, after hiring and firing substandard math teachers, year after year. An outside expert was brought into resuscitate the math program, but their recommendations were rejected as being too expensive. Independent outside testing data revealed that rank and file students were two years behind grade level in math. The school's go it alone approach to reviving their math program has not been successful or effective. There's been a revolving-door hiring and firing history for other teaching positions too. College admissions are mediocre at best, especially for a school that compared its quality to Meadows, Faith Lutheran and Bishop Gorman. The quality of instruction and administration is not anywhere close to being comparable to the better private high schools in Las Vegas. Compared to these other schools, you are throwing away $20,000 a year to go here. The administration is thin-skinned, imperious and officious, and will quickly retaliate and carry out reprisals against the children of any parents who dare to question the administration's practices. The upper school principal is the worst offender, surrounded by a gaggle of yes-men sycophants and thronesniffers, who cheer her every vindictive, mean-spirited move against students and parents who dare to question or disagree with her. Wish I could give zero stars, or a negative number of stars. Run, don't walk! read more

This review is just for the theater, where I saw one of the movies, "Aida's Secret," presented by the Jewish Film Festival. It's a beautiful, guard-gated campus, and the theater is modern and comfortable. Since it's not a commercial movie theater, there's no stadium seating, no popcorn, and no need to take out a second mortgage to buy a fountain drink or bar of candy. But the seats are upholstered and the legroom is adequate. The temperature was perfect. Watching a fascinating documentary, followed by the surprise appearance, talk, and Q & A session by one of the main subjects of the film, made it even more of a totally delightful experience. read more

My son loved going to school and I always felt he was in a safe environment. I never had to worry about him in preschool. The school he is currently in does not compare to Adelson. If it was up to me he would be going to Adelson until high school! I wish we didn't move just because I love the school so much. He got a great education and he wasn't even 2 1/2! This is our only school experience as parents, so keep in mind that we have nothing to compare it to. That being said, I wouldn't even think about sending my child anywhere else! The staff is truly like one big family welcoming you with open arms. It is clear that everyone there has your childs' best interest in mind. -The campus is guard gated, giving you piece of mind about your child's safety. -There is structure and routine in the classes, creating a level of comfort and familiarity for the children. This then translates to the home making our own morning or bed-time routine easier for him to want to follow. -Each day is filled with a combination of different ways to learn the same thing. For example; First a book will be read. Then a song pertaining to that story will be sung, usually with a dance move or two. Then art projects coinciding with the book are done using different tactile skills. I wish I could have had an opportunity to learn this way when I grew up. It is fun to watch my son come home and teach me! -I thoroughly look forward to my emails from his teachers that tell me all about their daily agenda. This way while he's at home, I can ask him the appropriate questions to reinforce what he's been taught at school. -I love that they provide lunch for the kids without any option of bringing lunches from home. This eliminates the chance for them to be jealous of what another kid is eating. Also, there is no exchanging of money. -We took advantage of the after school programming and signed him up for Happy Feet. He gets so excited about having Soccer practice after school on Mondays! -I enjoy that he is being surrounded by Jewish culture, so he can grow up feeling like a proud and confident member of the Jewish community. -The location of the school is absolutely perfect for us, being in Summerlin, it takes exactly 2 and a half minutes to drive there. -Even though school starts at 8am, drop-off starts at 7:40, giving you a 20 minute window to get there. You can either pull up and they will take your child out of the car and walk him to class, or you can park and walk him in yourself. SOOO convenient! As you can see, I literally have no complaints. They have thought of absolutely everything to make our lives as parents easier and the childs' lives more enjoyable, while ultimately striving for the best in educational excellence. I signed my 6 year-old son up for a summer reading program and one of the locations was here at this school. It is quietly tucked away on Hillpointe and securely locked down. There is a gate and a guard and you have to talk to him to get in. You can't just drive up to the gate and he lets you in, you have to tell him why you are there. But that's safe thinking for kids and it makes me feel better. The school inside is super clean and nice. Very nice school. read more

We LOVE Adelson! My son is an 8th grader and new to Adelson Educational Campus this year. We have all been blown away with how wonderful my son's experience has been thus far. Our interest first began after taking a tech summer camp in their state of the art tech Startup Incubator with Spark Skills. The Director of the Startup Incubator, Dr. Camille McCue, was very kind and encouraged us to look at enrolling at Adelson due to the fact that my son LOVED the Startup Incubator. After seeing the huge smile on my sons face and lots of research and thought, we decided to enroll him for the 8th grade. This has been the best decision we have made for him! The teachers and staff have regularly communicated with me on how my son likes the school, his studies and so on. This was a nice change after coming from public school. The kids all have welcomed him since day 1. Due to the smaller class and grade size the kids don't seem to have clicks. They all seem to be friends and include each other in their activities. The recent 2 night field trip to Zion was an added bonus for my son. This was a trip he'll always remember I'm sure. I would give Adelson Educational Campus 10 stars if I could! read more

I cannot believe how lucky my family is to have access to such an amazing school. From the moment we stepped on the campus and was greeted by Alli Abrahamson to the meet-and-greet with the PrIncipal and Head of School, we felt welcomed by family. Alli was so sweet and kind and generous with her time. I'm sure she's incredibly busy and yet she spent two hours with us showing us the campus and explaining the school's philosophy. Then she invited us to meet with the principal and Headmaster to learn about the curriculum. We are blown away. Again, everyone in the school has made us feel welcomed and like family. I am beyond grateful for my parents who decided to enroll me at Adelson. I have been a student at the Adelson Educational Campus for quite some time, and there are multiple things that I really enjoy and value about the school. The first thing I noticed, was how prominent and present safety and security is to Adelson. The guarded gates carefully filter who is allowed to enter school property, and security regularly walks throughout the school making me feel extremely protected and safe throughout the school day. I also really enjoy the sense of community that Adelson provides. Due to its small size, it is super easy for students throughout all grades to form bonds that will last a lifetime. Another thing I really enjoy is that Adelson offers such a broad array of electives that you can easily switch from at your own convenience. I started my freshmen year off taking part in an elective that I thought I would enjoy but didn't. After a short meeting with the guidance counselor, I was able to switch to an elective that more appropriately suited what I wanted to do in high school, and possibly even after. I think my favorite thing about Adelson, especially in high school, is how ready they make you feel for college. All students from freshmen year take practice SAT tests and attend SAT preparation courses that are conveniently integrated into the schedule in order to get the best score possible. Adelson's over 97% college acceptance rate makes me have great confidence in all of my teachers in terms of their teaching abilities, styles, and values. If you want a child that is going to be successful in high school, college, and life, Adelson is most definitely the place to send him or her. read more

A school that doesn't care about it's teachers can NOT claim to care enough about his students. Commanders can NOT be better than their soldiers. I have a lot to say on how the school management treated my wife thru her worst time in life. Between losing her father to cancer after not seeing him for 10 years to dealing with an aggressive self-centered co-teacher the school offered 0 comfort and understanding. Thru our worst financial year after asking the school kindly to return us the 500$ deposit for our child's first year in school we were not surprised to find out that after all that happened, after miss-treating her in every possible way, after begging for this small amount of money that could have changed a lot to us that the school refused once again to offer compassion. I only thank the school and it's management for one thing. Thank you for turning my wife into this tough person she is today, she almost gave up teaching because of you. She evolved a lot thru pain and suffer during the year although I am 100% sure the school could achieve the same results using nothing but kindness because that who she is and that is how she will stay and now she's also unbreakable. I mean, show me 1 person who decided to be a teacher for the money.. My kids have been attending the Adelson Educational Campus for the last 6 years. In fact, my eldest child just graduated from the school. I have been extremely pleased with the education that my children have received. The school has a high academic standard and teaches our kids great moral values. This can been seen in the success of where some of the high school alumni will be attending. Many of the kids will be attending prestigious schools such as Stanford, USC, UCLA and UC Berkley. In fact, one of the students was recognized as a national merit honor recipient. The Adelson School also has a spectacular campus. It is warm and friendly. In addition, they have just opened up a state of the art incubator lab where kids can explore photography, 3d printing, coding and more. I have only great things to say about the school. I feel extremely lucky that Las Vegas has such a outstanding school in the valley. Adelson has it's ups and down but I feel it's a safe environment for students as well as having an education system that caters to the individual needs of students. Teachers in the Adelson educational campus care for their students, and stand up against bullying. This is why I feel Mike F. review was false. Under ordinary circumstances the points this Yelp user (Mike F.) made would be valid, however he failed to mention that his daughter was kicked out of this school for drug abuse and other incorrigible acts of behavior. Therefore I think that Adelson wasn't "one of the worst decisions of her life", rather were her actions which got her expelled. When she tried to return for a "visit" she was escorted out by the trusty guards which surround and protect the school. read more
