I can't say enough good things about Nevada Advanced Pain Specialists. From the moment you walk in,…read morethey make you feel like family. The doctor truly listens and takes the time to care about what you're going through, which means so much when you're dealing with pain. I also have to give a special shout-out to the best nurse ever, Jada. She is kind, compassionate, and always makes you feel comfortable and cared for. She goes above and beyond every visit, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. If you're looking for a place where you're treated like a person, not just a patient, this is it. I'm very grateful for the care I receive here.

The facility itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, and the downtown Carson City location is convenient and easy to access. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the staff and the level of care provided here. My physician, Shaylee Nystrom, consistently goes above and beyond. She is highly competent, thorough, and clearly excellent at what she does. What really sets her apart, though, is her demeanor--she has a naturally cheerful and reassuring presence that immediately puts me at ease and noticeably improves my mood. Appointments never feel like a cold, transactional medical visit. Instead, they feel thoughtful, supportive, and human. She strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine care, and she always makes me feel confident that everything is going to be okay--almost like talking with a trusted doctor who truly knows and cares about you. The front desk staff, physician assistants, and procedural assistants--especially Ashlyn--are equally outstanding. They are efficient, organized, and professional, but also warm and kind. Everything is done with ease, grace, and a welcoming attitude that makes you feel respected and valued from the moment you walk in. I'm grateful to be receiving care here during the course of my injury, and I know this is a place I'll remember positively long after my treatment is complete. If you're looking for a pain management clinic that combines medical expertise with genuine compassion, I would highly recommend Nevada Advanced Pain Specialist.

I waited 4 months to see Dr. Blake at Sierra Neurosurgery in order…read moreto get a neck ablation. The long wait was worth every single day. He greeted me kindly and asked the location of my pain. With the first nerve block he hit the correct area with his needle! I called it the "money shot", and knew there was hope for a better outcome than my previous ablations. Since 2 nerve blocks are required, I had to wait a little longer for the final 3rd visit to get the ablation. Being in the room with just him and ( Tech ) Dave was calming and relaxing. They both treated me with such tender care. My neck is doing REALLY well. Dr. Jacob Blake is 100% worth the wait.

Dr. Blake had been in Truckee ( where I live) only 1 day a month. I saw him and had me get an MRI. Next Month he was gone. No letter or letting patients know that he will practice solely in Reno. He was the only back and neck doctor here. So, I got visit him in Reno. He was training another man at the same time. He was very preoccupied. I just moved to Tahoe Donner from the Bay Area so I'm not used to only having 1 dr. to see. He gave me a few vicadin and was supposed to call to schedule an epidural. I was getting them by a "real dr" before this idiot, I had to remind Dr. Blake to look over my MRI because he forgot he he ordered one for me before his departure from Truckee. I phoned Dr Blake's office prior to Thanksgiving. I spoke again on the answering machine. Again, no response. I'm am over it. I'll go back to Stanford where I won't get the shotty treatment. He should be ashamed of himself.

To Dr. Marshal Tulbert-…read more You walked into my mother's hospital room after she was emergency transported back and opened with, 'I hear you've been having respiratory issues.' That level of detachment from her actual condition is unacceptable. After a five-day stay at Rosewood--where she was left in feces and urine on a fresh surgical wound--she developed pneumonia and the flu. She had already been back in the hospital for six days before you finally showed up, and in that time her wound washouts were postponed three times despite continuous drainage. This goes far beyond poor judgment--it points to a serious breakdown in care. As a human being, how do you have the audacity to stand over your patient and play that kind of game? The complete lack of follow-up is inexcusable. Not a single phone call, not one post-op check on my mother, nothing. That level of negligence is beyond unacceptable. If you think you're untouchable, you're not. Somehow, you still had time to take on new patients. That says everything about where your priorities lie. Cory- your role in this was nothing more than enabling the situation. There's no accountability, no ownership, and no excuse. Andrea- your actions were completely self serving. If you're in this profession for anything other than patient care, it shows. You did absolutely nothing to help my mother. This entire experience was a failure across the board. Negligence, lack of communication, and zero accountability. Completely unacceptable. I'm beginning to seriously question whether this is being handled by people acting in good faith, or at minimum, with basic professional conscience. These issues raise significant concerns about ethics, accountability, and basic responsibility. I have no intention of letting this be brushed aside or repeated with anyone else. I will be pursuing every available lawful avenue to address this, including self-representation if necessary under Nevada law. This is not something I'm letting go. Lil forewarning

I was recently rear ended and now have a lien with Swift. I really wanted to focus on an employee within the lien department named, Kyra. She mentioned she was fairly new, however she did the work to allow me to have trigger point injections at the urgent care. I appreciated that she was prompt in finding answers to my questions. She was very friendly too. I'd also like to say that Carla Chong and her assistant Esther were my previous pain management before Carla moved to the Vein Institute. They were both fantastic and I miss them both. Before Carla left she made sure to connect me with a provider who would best suit my needs. That person is Shane Doyle and she's great! So is her medical assistant Josue. I look forward to being their patient for a while and hopefully won't be moved again. Overall I do recommend Swift. Like I mentioned above, most of the staff are fantastic. There are 2-3 employees that I have/had to interact with that are generally unpleasant. I won't allow a few sour grapes to ruin the bunch though.
