Dr. May is a life saver. I've had neck pain and chronic headaches on and off for about 5 years. Injections, physical therapy, meds, chiro. You name it, I've done it all. I recognize that every once and awhile I just need a good adjustment. But it's hard to find a chiropractor that's willing to adjust you without putting you on some 6 week plan, 2x a week, and then you finish feeling like you can't survive a week without an adjustment. That is NOT the case here. I was referred by someone who assured me Dr. May wouldn't do that so I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did! Dr. May listened to my background and chief complaints and offered up some suggestions. We discussed a treatment plan that targeted one area at a time so we could try and pin point the area that was causing the pain/discomfort/headaches. Anything I say about treatment is second-hand, as it was my wife that received treatment. My experience is from a billing view with this outlet. My wife goes in for treatment as a first-time patient, receives treatment, and is charged beyond our co-pay. She brings this to my attention, and I call our insurance to discuss it. Since it was so soon after treatment, a claim was not received, so I called back a week later, and found out there was a wrong coding on the chiropractor's end. In the meantime, we received our EOB, and it clearly showed that the extra charge was NOT to be paid. After having a conference call with our insurance and a young lady from ISS, it appeared that with the EOB being provided, a corrected claim would be sent, and we'd be refunded our over-pay of about $85. About 3 weeks later, no refund, and when I called ISS, the same young lady told me there would still be no refund, though a new claim was sent in with corrected codes. Interesting. Though ISS says and shows my wife signed a form agreeing to extra treatment, if needed, and payment, what I saw also stated that it would be based on insurance coverage, and ours, based on treatment, shows the co-pay was all we needed to pay. read more

Better than Disneyland. I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I've been going to see Dr. May since week 14. I've had some sciatic pain, ankle swelling, lower back pain, mid back pain, neck pain from adjusting my sleeping positions - you name it. I literally count down the days until my next appointments. Dr. May does such a great job of explaining what he's doing and making you feel calm so you can relax during the adjustments and I always walk out of there feeling like a million bucks. I love that he actually assesses your mobility and takes time to listen to what is bothering you so he can give you the right adjustments vs. doing the same routine every time you go in. He has been so good with the pregnancy, always asks how I'm feeling, and always checked if I was comfortable laying on my back or stomach (early on). Now that I am bigger he has adjusted all of my movements so I don't have to lay flat but I get the same 5 star treatment every time. I started making appointments for my husband to see him too so I don't have to keep walking on his back or cracking his neck. I recommend Dr. May to every person who needs a chiro and I highly recommend him for prenatal adjustments as well. Appointments are always easy to make and I have never once waited more than 5-10 minutes. Most of the time he takes me in early. Tuesdays and Thursdays he typically stays late until 5:30 or so, so it makes it easy if you have a strict work schedule. The office staff is so sweet and helpful as well which can make such a difference! He isn't one of those money driven chiro's that just want you to come in often so they get paid. He truly cares about all of his patients and lets you decide when you want to come back. I started at 4 weeks and was feeling good by then so I pushed it back to 5, but now that my baby is getting bigger I'm going in closer to every 3 weeks. In the past two years, I've had two accidents. The first was a slip and fall which brought me much pain to my back and hips. I struggled daily to walk up the stairs in my house. I could not walk long distances without pain radiating from my hips down to my ankles. I've tried acupuncture/acupressure with temporary relief. I've tried trigger point injections and other injections into my sacroili joint... Sometimes with relief and only temporarily. About nine months after my accident, I met Dr. Martinez at a Women's Show. Since I've been seeing Dr. MARTINEZ, I CAN NOW go up stairs painfree and walk at a brisk pace. My second accident was an auto accident which reinjured my hip and neck areas. I continued to see Dr. MARTINEZ for adjustments to my hip, back, shoulder, and neck pains. At this same time, I was seeing Massage Therapist, Jesse Filsinger, in the same office. My body was a mess with pain in joints, a lot of tightness and "knots" in the shoulder /neck areas. I always felt better after each visit...loose and like I was "walking on air." He would ask how I felt physically before each session and would work the massages accordingly. These massages relaxed me to where it always gave me a great sleep that night. Dr. Trevor May is fantastic. My girlfriend recommended him to me when I started experiencing sciatic pain while running. Dr. May listened closely to my symptoms and quickly knew what was going on. He is very conservative and didn't send me for unnecessary imaging. After just one adjustment my range of motion in my leg had improved by at least 50%. Amazing!!!He didn't tell me that I had to stop running and has allowed me to work out as I normally would. His goal is to get me out of pain while doing what I normally do and since I work out at least five days a week he is the perfect doctor for me. I went in for a routine adjustment...... The chiro gave me a strange shoulder adjustment. I said OW!!! THAT HURT!!!!! He said i would feel sooo much better. Maybe I would need to ice that night...... I woke up feeling like I was having a heart attack. I had Intense pinching horrible pain on the top of my left breast & I couldn't breathe!!!! I struggled w getting myself 2 miles to urgent care & they diagnosed a cracked rib on the top left side where I received the adjustment. When i got back to my car I called the chiro & he said to rest & recuperate & try not to talk or move much. I CANT BELIEVE HE DIDNT SAY IM SORRY!!! I have heard from the chiropractor since, he would like me to go to his doctor for evaluation with all my previous records. WHAT GOOD WILL THAT DO!!! I sit here on day 4 after my adjustment in bed trying to breathe & dying every time i cough or sneeze or burp. He needs to take responsibility for this injury read more

I am pregnant and I had slipped and fell on my bottom. My lower left side was hurting sooo bad sometimes it would hurt just to get out of bed and bend in certain ways. I recently saw Dr. Cissel as a new patient and I'm not impressed. I gave an extra star as they got me in quickly, and he made a -15 second call that night to see how I was. For $75.00 for the 10+ minutes I was in with him, I've had MUCH better and less expensive chiropractic care and compassion. He was just your basic wam bam crack em' mam - too heavy handed for me. I think all chiropractors BEFORE adjustment should apply some wet heat, let you rest a bit and they (or a machine) do a mini massage, so you are relaxed and the adjustment is better. Even though I told him I probably couldn't come back a couple days later, he pushed for an appointment and told me to cancel if I had to. Told me to come see him 3 times a week, (this is about more $) and is not necessary, as I've had this problem before and was pain free just once a week for only 3 weeks. I wish ALL medical/dental etc. offices would quit asking for people for their PRIVATE driver's license's and Social Security#'s (I paid in cash). read more

I know it is good for people like me who sit at the computer all day and do not move around as much to have that maintenance plan. They offer more than one location for your convenience, and you get the same quality care. They encourage total body health as well.
