They were running behind and I was okay with it since the only thing I had left to do for the day was to pick up my kids from school. I believe I waited an additional 20 minutes after checking in. Sandy called me back. She was the sweetest and set me up with my gown and walked me through what to expect. Within twenty minutes, I was changing back into my street clothes and headed out to pick up my kiddos. Thank you Sandy for making my experience a pleasant and comfortable one. While some staff members continue to provide excellent service, my recent experiences highlight several areas that need improvement. Scheduling and communication issues have become a significant problem. My doctor ordered both a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. During my initial attempt to book the appointments, the first representative was inflexible and insisted I use a different location instead of the Sierra Rose site I requested. On the day of my appointment, I waited more than 30+ minutes past my scheduled time only to learn that the appointment order had been changed without notice. The sonographer performed the ultrasound first, found everything clear and benign, and, after review by the onsite doctor, recommended canceling the mammogram. The sonographer was very professional and thorough; however, the issues were clearly outside of her control. This was a front office and scheduling problem. The overall coordination was poor and confusing. Compounding the frustration, I received a follow-up call the next day informing me that I still needed to schedule the mammogram. This was especially stressful and confusing, as it directly contradicted the previous day's assessment and my doctor's original orders. For the next couple of days, RDC continued calling me persistently about scheduling a follow-up mammogram. The representatives had difficulty communicating clearly, and the calls ended without resolution. I'm also unsure whether it is standard practice to override a doctor's order for a diagnostic mammogram when one was performed within the prior 30 days. Additionally, as a self-pay patient, I was charged a 3% interest fee on my credit card (waived only for cash or check). This practice feels inconsistent with industry standards and adds unnecessary burden to patients. In today's largely cashless society, this feels like an unnecessary burden on patients. Medical practices can typically deduct these fees as business expenses, making it preferable for the office to absorb them rather than pass them on to loyal self-pay customers. It appears the center has undergone an acquisition, and many team members seem to be in training. These changes appear to have impacted service consistency and communication quality. I requested to speak with a manager and sent a follow-up email, but I have not received any response. I hope management will address the scheduling processes, staff training, coordination with referring physicians, and billing policies so that Reno Diagnostic Center can restore the high level of care it was once known for. This review is intended to help bring these issues to their attention.

I had the complication of an implanted device to be navigated. It is amazing what staff with critical thinking skills and determination can accomplish in a short time. After my appointment was cancelled once by Renown, it continued to be difficult to schedule due to this device and "protocols" required to make sure it was "safe." Charlie and Q helped and problem solved in one day it was handled. I was contacted for pre-appointment (insurance) and confirmation the Friday morning before my Monday 8am MRI, only to be notified by email 2 hours later that it would be CANCELLED (2nd time) . We all spent hours making this appointment possible, assuring protocol was complete. I knew this cancellation was inaccurate and I was irate and called to explain the protocols HAD been completed, asked that they verify with Imaging and provided names of who to talk to. I was placed on hold then told nope, it has been cancelled. I checked with imaging and finally with Supervisor, Charlie, who had NOT cancelled my MRI. He was able to save this appointment and made sure I was seen and testing was completed today. I am eternally grateful for the Q and Charlie team for taking action and assuring that my test was done. Renown, please take notice of how silos do not work, communications are lost, appointments are messed up, due to errors. I had to advocate for HOURS to make these appointments, I had to call them to reschedule after they cancelled my first appointment, I had to repeatedly call and request they call me back and tell me what the issues were so I could help solve them. Scheduling did not read notes, did not listen to me or contact imaging to verify what I told them, they said too bad and hung up. I can not imagine if I were an elderly person trying to get this done. Thank you Charlie and Q you made all the difference !!

My insurance requires that I go to St. Mary's, and quite often I find St. Mary's less than spectacular. However, today was stellar. Mario was the technician, and he had an assistant (whose name escapes) me started with a short explanation of how the test was gonna go. They told me would take about 10 minutes and that's about how long it took. They prepared me with an IV for the dye. They help me get comfortable and then allowed the machine to do his work. After it was all over, I told Mario that I accidentally parked in the emergency area, and he escorted me through the emergency room so I didn't have to walk on the outside of the whole hospital. From start to finish the whole process of a double CT scan took less than 45 minutes. I think that is record time for entering a medical facility for an appointment. I definitely recommend the radiology department here

The payments processed correctly for five months and then suddenly stopped due to an issue on their end. I never noticed because it was on autopay but since the payments stopped, I started receiving past-due and collection notices even though I had set up autopay specifically to avoid this situation. When I called, they confirmed something happened with the account on their side but still expected me to immediately pay the remaining balance. I continued paying my agreed monthly amount, yet I still received a notice saying I defaulted on the payment plan. The balance itself was small, but the billing process and communication were frustrating and disappointing. Patients shouldn't have to deal with collection warnings because of internal billing errors.
