Just had an outpatient surgery here. The surgeon was great as well as the nurses. My only concerns…read morewould be registration knowledge is lacking, No one knew where exactly I should sign in. They seemed disorganized. My initial nurse wheeled me through the waiting area to have one procedure done instead of going in the halls behind the lobby . I was embarrassed because I was in a surgical gown at the time, when that procedure was done. A different nurse did take me back to my original room in the back halls to not create embarrassment. She said going through the lobby is quicker, but they should not be taking patients in gowns through there! The mammogram tech and radiologist were fantastic and the surgeon was also great! I was there a total of 7 hours when I was told it would be 5. Two procedures were done though and tHings run slow here, but they are thorough! I recommend it for outpatient care!

Went to one doctor who pushed for an MRI, and then never got back to me. Waited a few months and decided to head here (Pinnacle) and give them a go. Was in so much pain at the time that I couldn't even sit down without tears welling up. Standing at an always angle was my only relief. They saw this. They knew this. This visit occurred around spring time 2025 I went in, did the routine, signed a waiver to release my MRI to them, and got some blood work scheduled for a little later on. Left very hopeful and optimistic with how genuinely invested the doctor seemed to be in fixing me. Gave me a lot of info. I never heard back from Pinnacle. No follow up, no "hey we have your MRI results and this is what they show", no emails, no calls/voicemails, not even a letter. Nothing. Pinnacle ghosted me. The lack of follow up and being all around a caring and professional healthcare organization is not the reason for the single star rating however. The rating comes from the fact that nobody got back to me, yet I OWED THEM MONEY. I paid my copay, and thought that was it. Next thing I know, I have a collections agency calling me about a debt stemming from my visit here at pinnacle. Had absolutely no knowledge of it. And when I called, I got a woman with a nasty attitude basically telling me I'm an idiot because they always send out PAPER MAIL about money owed. So not only did I not get a letter at all, but in 2025, you can't CALL ME OR EMAIL ME WHEN YOU HAVE MY INFO?? This came at the perfect time too, because I was just recently laid off from work. So now my credit will take a hit because I NOW don't have the $300 I could've paid off months ago Nice place inside, but absolute trash. Would never recommend. I will never go here or another affiliated healthcare company again. It's hard enough finding people who care, but this is ridiculous. Screw Pinnacle

I recently visited the Franciscan Emergency Department in Crown Point after falling off my scooter…read more I want to start by saying that the medical staff who cared for me were excellent. PA Shawn was kind, professional, and did a great job explaining everything and treating my injuries. Liz, the X-ray technician, was also very friendly and made the imaging process easy. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. The bathroom was also clean. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of some parts of the emergency department. I noticed noticeable blood stains on the mayo stand and on the floor in my treatment area, along with visible hair. There was also a bug flying around near the patient rooms. In the waiting area, several chairs had noticeable stains. I also noticed a Chick-fil-A cup in a trash can and full trash bags sitting in the emergency department for the entire time I was there. Seeing food containers and accumulated trash in patient care areas gave the impression that housekeeping could be improved. The care I received from the staff was great, and I'm thankful for everyone who helped me.

I'd really not give any stars. At all. But, here we are. I had a family member go to this place…read morevia ambulance (who had to put a ventilator down her throat). She was in the ER until the next day because they built the hospital with less patient rooms than the old St. Anthony's for reasons no one will understand. Anyhoo, they finally get her up to ICU, put her in a medically induced coma for almost 3 weeks!! I have to say the ICU nurses were amazing!! Every single one of them. The ICU drs....not so much. They continually tried to take her out of the coma and turned the venitlator off to see if she could breathe on her own and gave her maybe 2-3 seconds off of the ventilator and said, it's not working....give her a minute, eh? Then, turn it on, give her more propofol to get her back into the medically induced coma. Then! Her heart dr would breeze in every once in awhile, who is one of the hospitals drs that are allowed to visit patients, which is ridiculous that your dr isn't called when you're in the hospital, only their drs can come to "check on you", not knowing at all, your medical history.....but, she was this guys patient....so....I should add that she is diabetic. With that being said, her toes on her right foot were blue/purple. I asked about it and was told, "their not black yet". WHAT?!?!?!?!!? My other sister was up there with her and she asked her actual dr who made his rounds about that. He refused to even look at them or do anything about them. She'd have to follow up with Loyala (she had her did work for her left leg). Then, way too soon to be released, they released her to a shotty rehab in Dyer. An NP saw her toes and sent her to Munster Community ER. The cardiologist there immediately did angio-plasty on both legs. But! She will need to lose 2-3 toes because this place is a f***ing joke!! Oh! and they lied to her about which rehabe center would be covered by insurance, they told her Powers in Crown Point wouldn't cover. Community had no problems getting her in to Powers in CP. Such a joke of a place. It's like they want people to not come to the place or even worse......

They decided to keep her there overnight. Ok, we can deal with that. However, there were some issues with her stay. Quality: Awful! They kept her overnight...in the ER! They wouldn't admit her because they claimed that they were out of rooms. THEN, WHY ADMIT HER IN THE FIRST PLACE????? We live close enough for her to get there at a decent time! Care: Terrible! The staff was mediocre, at best. They weren't unprofessional, but they also weren't very knowledgeable. My Wife's chart states that she can't take statins, but they gave her one this morning anyway. How do I know! Her Nurse admitted to her that they had done so by mistake! He also suggested that she get on Repatha, and her chart clearly shows that she is already taking it! Unbelievable! While was there, I never saw anyone come to see her but her Dr. The highlight of the night was the Security Guard, who was very friendly and cordial, even while doing his safety searches on us. Experience: Horrible! Since they decided to keep her overnight, you would think that they would also feed her, but she was offered a PB&J for dinner. That's it! Really? Are we in Third Grade? On top of that, they managed to squeeze her in last night and she was able to get her MRI done before 8pm. So why keep her overnight? She came to do an outpatient procedure? ‍ We brought her some food because she was starving, but we should have been able to take her home. In my opinion, this was a serious mistake on their part. Please request a different hospital if you can. This used to be a top tier hospital, but the quality has really gone downhill.

I was admitted and ended up having cardiac surgery. The doctors are fantastic as well as the nurses. Very attentive and caring. Gave me everything I needed and made sure I wasn't in pain. The food was actually decent. The rooms are very large and had a couch and chair for visitors. Beds were comfortable. I felt very safe and housecleaning came in everyday I was there to clean and disinfect my entire room. Bad...... When I went to the ER there is only ONE check in person. Two of us in line had cardiac emergencies and they had us stand in line??? I was brought back right away and had an IV put in and EKG done. A doctor came in and asked questions. Was told I would be admitted as soon as a bed was available. Was not checked on for over 2 hours before receiving a room. I also had two flies in my ER room. ER staff not very personable or caring either. Once in room the nurses were attentive and very nice, but all testing took forever! I felt like they were dragging it on to keep me there longer. I had the same tests done over and over and I question if that was necessary. I also thought it was strange that I received fried food (chicken tenders) on the cardiac floor and no choices in regards to food were given. You get what you get. I also questioned the security. My husband said he basically walked right in and went up to my room. No ID was needed. Very odd! The rooms were very very cold! Overall good hospital. It's definitely not a Loyola or Rush, but doctors are very knowledgeable and caring. They explained everything thoroughly and I felt I got good care. They truly seemed concerned for my well being.

My son said he did not trust them! We didn't transfer him because we thought he was transferring to another type of facility. Prior to my son's admission, the staff communicated with me and made themselves available to answer any questions I had. After he was admitted there, no one every had time to return a phone call. Let me acknowledge Davina, Ro, Travail and Jordan who always made themselves available to help and answer questions any time. There is another young lady and I can't remember her name but she is a cna who remained with me when my son's condition took a turn for the worse. My son's room was always filled with the hospital's supplies so that we had no place for his things. Call lights are on forever, even when a nurse is seated at the station. The staff seem to be very confused about where equipment and supplies are and how to use them. Many days I got there and my sons was named in bed covered only by towels but gown on. No sheet was on the bed most of the time. There was an incident that happened and I had decided to have my son moved to a different facility. The CEO Keisha came in, spoke with me and said she would address the matters. I felt comfortable enough to to allow my son to remain. CEO would take care of it, right? Wrong, she never followed up with me but did "confront" my son, according to him. I also expressed concerns to a director named Yolanda who also never followed up with me. There was a male nurse who took care of my that I had to request he no longer be assigned to my son. I'm not saying he was a bad nurse but he was incapable of answering any questions we had. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. In fact, I would encourage you to find a more stable, better equipped care facility for your loved one. God bless
