Had a back injury when I was a kid that I never really had looked at. Fast forward 12 years, and…read moreit's still causing me pain (go figure). Went to one doctor who pushed for an MRI, and then never got back to me. Waited a few months and decided to head here (Pinnacle) and give them a go. Was in so much pain at the time that I couldn't even sit down without tears welling up. Standing at an always angle was my only relief. They saw this. They knew this. This visit occurred around spring time 2025 I went in, did the routine, signed a waiver to release my MRI to them, and got some blood work scheduled for a little later on. Left very hopeful and optimistic with how genuinely invested the doctor seemed to be in fixing me. Gave me a lot of info. I never heard back from Pinnacle. No follow up, no "hey we have your MRI results and this is what they show", no emails, no calls/voicemails, not even a letter. Nothing. Pinnacle ghosted me. The lack of follow up and being all around a caring and professional healthcare organization is not the reason for the single star rating however. The rating comes from the fact that nobody got back to me, yet I OWED THEM MONEY. I paid my copay, and thought that was it. Next thing I know, I have a collections agency calling me about a debt stemming from my visit here at pinnacle. Had absolutely no knowledge of it. And when I called, I got a woman with a nasty attitude basically telling me I'm an idiot because they always send out PAPER MAIL about money owed. So not only did I not get a letter at all, but in 2025, you can't CALL ME OR EMAIL ME WHEN YOU HAVE MY INFO?? This came at the perfect time too, because I was just recently laid off from work. So now my credit will take a hit because I NOW don't have the $300 I could've paid off months ago Nice place inside, but absolute trash. Would never recommend. I will never go here or another affiliated healthcare company again. It's hard enough finding people who care, but this is ridiculous. Screw Pinnacle

They decided, after a couple of days to do an angiogram. During this procedure, something came loose that caused a stroke, a grade 3, one of the largest strokes you can have. This facility is not prepared for stroke care, they offer none. So, if you pay attention to anything about strokes, once you have a stroke, the first hour is the MOST critical. It took FOUR hours (from the time the procedure for the heart started to the time they rolled my FIL into Community to try to start to remove the blockage for the stroke) for my FIL to be transported to Community hospital and then receive the treatment he needed to have the blockage from the stroke removed. By the time we laid eyes on my FIL, my husband and I just knew that it was too late and the damage had been done. Community did a great job on the following, but St. Mary's not being fully equipped to be ready for a stroke is where is all started. They should not be licensed to even perform these procedures. By the next afternoon, we had to make the decision to put my FIL on hospice. I would NEVER recommend this facility as they can't solve a problem if it arises. I hope no other family has to go through what we just went through. For the sake of your loved one's health, avoid this facility at all. During our time at Community, this is a full-service facility that is really like a Trauma Center, but is not actually "classified" as a Trauma Center. If it is at all possible, I would just go to Community.

With the colostomy department, when they woke me up from anesthesia. It was quiet, and someone called my name to wake me up. And I said, "Is it over?" They let me recover. I went home, all good. Fast forward to September 23rd, I come into Methodist for a hip replacement. BIG difference from last time. It was all good till I woke up from anesthesia. Dr. Wood and his ortho staff- (Excellent, great job from beginning to end). I WAS AWAKENED from (total hip replacement) This TIME TO LOUD LAUGHTER, LOUD CONVERSATIONS, AND CACKLING. The 2 nurses tending to me post Op were talking in my opinion way too loud... for someone "recovering." From there im headed to my room upstairs. On the way upstairs they park me by another nurses station. This place was louder then when I was sitting there with the two nurses; with a especially loud nurse letting her coworkers know about her home life that I wish didnt have to hear. At this point, I spoke up and asked "WHY IS EVERYONE SO LOUD?" No answer so I asked again. Fast forward, Now im in my room im okay now, i can start recovering right? WRONG. The nurse for this floor, (dont know her name) came in, hurriedly checked my vitals. Long story short, Her strictly business attitude and ice cold demeanor was not my cup of tea at all. For example, after a brief conversation with her and feeling her vibe, I flat out asked "Is anyone in this hospital NICE??" To this she replied " I am being nice. Im about to take out your catheter." Wow. So 2 HRS i feel pain to my genitals. Not from my hip that I just got surgery on, But from a catheter left in post OP from the two Post OP Cackling nurses(Hehehe). When she said this, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She said "she was a supervisor, head nurse, something. I said I need doctor running the floor, Someone running the hospital etc. Registered my complaint with Dr "C" says he's running hospital at this time. That's another story. Now with room to myself. My wife begins to help me use the Lil urinal cup so I can pee laying here in bed. Covers back, cup in place, start peeing. Right then We hear "Hey, HELLO, HOWS IT GOING""? This Nurse just opens the door DID NOT KNOCK OR WAIT... starts walking in...im saying WAIT WAIT DONT COME IN. The nurse head and face were already in. After she saw everything , I mean everything.. she was like. Oops..but "Don't go in there "He's Yelling" she said. At this point what can I say. And I'm supposed to stay here for 1 or 2 more days "recovering." God is Good. Surgery went well. I appreciate Dr Wood. But I can't do Methodist Hospital. Asking/requesting to be Discharged TOMMORROW. Next day after Surgery. Overnight nurse(Val)..she gets the assignment. 5 stars. Wish she was the only person I had to deal with here. Going to try to Heal up now. James W. Successful Total Right Hip Replacement. "Yay" gonna walk better now.
