    Outside of Methodist Southlake
    Debra D.

I went to visit my Uncle who went to the emergency room on Sunday, February 18th due to breathing problems. Well first of all ; Methodist hospital (South Lake) emergency room didn't have any beds available until 28 hours after he was admitted. He was finally admitted to a room on day 2 and placed in isolation due to COVID-19 along with a few other complications. The last time that a staff member came in to write on/change the patient board was on his birthday which was Tuesday February 20th ; today's date February 22nd. I am surprised that they had no Valet parking. No one available at the front desk to assist my cousin with a wheelchair. We were told that my Uncle was in physical therapy when we talked with his nurse but while we were visiting...he said that he had Not been out of his room.

Really, you need negative 0!!!! First, it's very frightening when you have a loved one diagnose with covid and double lung infection AND they are over 90 years old and they have to b admitted to THIS NUTHOUSE HOSPITAL. The floor that she is currently on, freaking SUCKS. We have extensive notes on everything that has bern going on. When I was there I hit the nursse call button 4x and NO freaking nurse answered or came to the room (this has happen while two of her daughters stay overnight on separate days). My granny is hard of hearing; has a trac (well over 35 yrs) - which means she can be in distress and your lazy, non functional, on the cell phone RNs would cause her death; and her room has not been cleaned since she been there. Now, prior to going on a floor, she had to sit in the ER room for two days because they stated they didn't have a room for her to go in. I believe this was a lie and that they don't have enough workers to serve the patients Today, takes the cake; unfortunately, two of us have to work and she didn't have anyone with her this early morning and afternoon. My aunt called several times because she called to state that she'd been waiting on someone to change her out of a wet bed for two gotdarn hours (as of this writing, still no one). To the unconcerned and uncaring RN, you folks would not do your damn dogs like you have done my gramdmother. I am totally disgusted, disheartening, and horrified of the level of service that had been given to the matriarchof ou family. It is not the patients fault that it not enough workers. Every patient should be treated with dignity, care and respect. Our family don't ask you for much because believe me; we are the clinican personnel at her residence. My family is looking to speak wth the CEO, Nurse in Charge on that floor (23W), your Shareholder/Stockholders (they need to know the level of care you are providing) and anyone else that can give us an explanation inro this situation.

Went to the ER upper respiratory infection. I was treated quickly and with a smile. I would definitely feel safe going there again.

Had a back injury when I was a kid that I never really had looked at. Fast forward 12 years, and…read moreit's still causing me pain (go figure). Went to one doctor who pushed for an MRI, and then never got back to me. Waited a few months and decided to head here (Pinnacle) and give them a go. Was in so much pain at the time that I couldn't even sit down without tears welling up. Standing at an always angle was my only relief. They saw this. They knew this. This visit occurred around spring time 2025 I went in, did the routine, signed a waiver to release my MRI to them, and got some blood work scheduled for a little later on. Left very hopeful and optimistic with how genuinely invested the doctor seemed to be in fixing me. Gave me a lot of info. I never heard back from Pinnacle. No follow up, no "hey we have your MRI results and this is what they show", no emails, no calls/voicemails, not even a letter. Nothing. Pinnacle ghosted me. The lack of follow up and being all around a caring and professional healthcare organization is not the reason for the single star rating however. The rating comes from the fact that nobody got back to me, yet I OWED THEM MONEY. I paid my copay, and thought that was it. Next thing I know, I have a collections agency calling me about a debt stemming from my visit here at pinnacle. Had absolutely no knowledge of it. And when I called, I got a woman with a nasty attitude basically telling me I'm an idiot because they always send out PAPER MAIL about money owed. So not only did I not get a letter at all, but in 2025, you can't CALL ME OR EMAIL ME WHEN YOU HAVE MY INFO?? This came at the perfect time too, because I was just recently laid off from work. So now my credit will take a hit because I NOW don't have the $300 I could've paid off months ago Nice place inside, but absolute trash. Would never recommend. I will never go here or another affiliated healthcare company again. It's hard enough finding people who care, but this is ridiculous. Screw Pinnacle

With the colostomy department, when they woke me up from anesthesia. It was quiet, and someone called my name to wake me up. And I said, "Is it over?" They let me recover. I went home, all good. Fast forward to September 23rd, I come into Methodist for a hip replacement. BIG difference from last time. It was all good till I woke up from anesthesia. Dr. Wood and his ortho staff- (Excellent, great job from beginning to end). I WAS AWAKENED from (total hip replacement) This TIME TO LOUD LAUGHTER, LOUD CONVERSATIONS, AND CACKLING. The 2 nurses tending to me post Op were talking in my opinion way too loud... for someone "recovering." From there im headed to my room upstairs. On the way upstairs they park me by another nurses station. This place was louder then when I was sitting there with the two nurses; with a especially loud nurse letting her coworkers know about her home life that I wish didnt have to hear. At this point, I spoke up and asked "WHY IS EVERYONE SO LOUD?" No answer so I asked again. Fast forward, Now im in my room im okay now, i can start recovering right? WRONG. The nurse for this floor, (dont know her name) came in, hurriedly checked my vitals. Long story short, Her strictly business attitude and ice cold demeanor was not my cup of tea at all. For example, after a brief conversation with her and feeling her vibe, I flat out asked "Is anyone in this hospital NICE??" To this she replied " I am being nice. Im about to take out your catheter." Wow. So 2 HRS i feel pain to my genitals. Not from my hip that I just got surgery on, But from a catheter left in post OP from the two Post OP Cackling nurses(Hehehe). When she said this, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She said "she was a supervisor, head nurse, something. I said I need doctor running the floor, Someone running the hospital etc. Registered my complaint with Dr "C" says he's running hospital at this time. That's another story. Now with room to myself. My wife begins to help me use the Lil urinal cup so I can pee laying here in bed. Covers back, cup in place, start peeing. Right then We hear "Hey, HELLO, HOWS IT GOING""? This Nurse just opens the door DID NOT KNOCK OR WAIT... starts walking in...im saying WAIT WAIT DONT COME IN. The nurse head and face were already in. After she saw everything , I mean everything.. she was like. Oops..but "Don't go in there "He's Yelling" she said. At this point what can I say. And I'm supposed to stay here for 1 or 2 more days "recovering." God is Good. Surgery went well. I appreciate Dr Wood. But I can't do Methodist Hospital. Asking/requesting to be Discharged TOMMORROW. Next day after Surgery. Overnight nurse(Val)..she gets the assignment. 5 stars. Wish she was the only person I had to deal with here. Going to try to Heal up now. James W. Successful Total Right Hip Replacement. "Yay" gonna walk better now.

Eight minutes later, she delivered her baby in a car on the side of the road. There is no interpretation of the Hippocratic Oath, or even basic human decency, that justifies refusing care to a woman who is clearly in labor. Since the repeal of Roe v. Wade, hospitals claim their priority is protecting life at all stages, yet in this red state, this incident proves the opposite. These medical professionals put both the mother and the newborn in immediate danger through sheer negligence and indifference. This is not a misunderstanding. This is a complete betrayal of the standards and ethics the public expects from healthcare providers. Any hospital that allows this level of malpractice and disregard to happen should be held fully accountable, and the individuals responsible should never be allowed to treat patients again. Both Doctor and the nurse involved deserve prison. Franciscan Health Crown Point showed that they cannot be trusted with the safety of women, Black patients, or newborns. Their actions were reckless, discriminatory, and potentially fatal. Absolutely shameful.
