I started with Dr. Yurio and after a few sessions of physical therapy ordered an MRI. Turns out I completely tore my ACL and part of my meniscus. I was presented with my options and ultimately decided to have surgery to repair my injuries. I was transferred to Dr. Kaplan and he again presented me with my options. I decided to continue moving forward with the surgery. At no time was I pressured into having the surgery. For my lifestyle and health it made sense to move forward. Fast forward to surgery day - The surgery center is in the same building and is well maintained. I was introduced to several people who would be participating in the surgery and each one confirmed with me why I was there. It was clear patient care and safety was a top priority. Follow up appointments were a breeze. They email any paperwork required prior to the appt. And after check in the most I ever waited was 5 mins in the big waiting room or in the actual room. I saw either the PA and Surgeon during these appts. Both were professional and never made me feel rushed and felt comfortable asking questions. I was in and out in less than 30 mins from check in to check out. I had a positive experience from start to finish with this group of Dr.s and would recommend them. There are several Dr.s with different specialties available. I did see one of the foot Dr.s several years ago, can't recall his name, and did not have the same positive experience.

From looking around, and seeing the other Therapists I would say she's the absolute best. The other therapists are young and don't have any patients hardly ever. I think there are 3 good PTs here and Elizabeth is definitely one of them. Seriously, Elizabeth is amazing. I would only go to her. Only. The management really needs to do something about the younger therapists and front staff. It's bothersome. They're arrogant and if they don't want to be there they don't need to be. It ruins everything there. I see them work with people and they are not happy. This review would be 5 for Elizabeth. Front desk staff ruins it.

I wasn't sure how effective physical therapy would be because I've never done it before but I learned the right exercises can really help. I had a few appointments with Scott and a few with Andrew. Both are really great with explaining why we're doing certain things and making sure the form is correct. We actually had a lot of fun in there fixing my shoulder. Suddenly, for no knowable reason whatsoever, my leg just locked up and wouldn't bend or straighten. Oh, and it hurt like hizzle. Heartland Rehab in Riverside saved my life! Or my leg. Either/or! Both! I was prescribed one month of physical therapy to fix my bum leg, and fix it they did. Before I started PT someone told me how nice PT could be... you get messaged, people fawn all over you, making your problems their problems. For one little hour you don't have to worry about things while these wonderful therapists worry for you. I had Ronata as my therapist and she was great. She taught me all kinds of exercises to strengthen my knee, she told me jokes, she gave my knee some amazing massages [best part about PT, hands down] AND she even prescribed me to have my husband give me massages every night. HA! Take that husband. It is a prescription. You have to do it! The facilities are nice with a view of the St. Johns River. You can continue to use their gym even after your PT is over for a membership fee, if you so please. I haven't tried that myself, already being a member of the YMCA, but I think it would be a great choice for someone recovering from an injury.

No, this is where you come when you want to do serious work to resolve issues that no one else can cure. The therapist, Deborah Wooding, is insightful, knowledgeable and serious about what she does. You start my telling her your issues and she will ask you a number of questions before she is ready to begin. When she is satisfied that she understands what your needs are, she will begin. Now here is a warning, she is freakishly strong, so don't worry if you have to tell her to back off. She is happy to be do so and won't tell your friends you are a wimp. I found that she addressed some things that I did not understand she could address. For instance, I had some breathing issues and I said this to her in passing. Before I knew it she was massaging my intercostals, the muscles between your ribs, and my breathing issues were 90% reduced. So don't be scared to layout all your symptoms to her. She also does electric-stem, postpartum, pregnancy and something called pulsed electromagnetic field, which I am not going to even ask about.

When my cast was taken off, I could barely walk, and I was in pain after a few steps. Corey, the physical therapist here, is kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. I visited 2-3 times a week for the first couple months and weekly after that. I have seen and felt steady improvement in my gait, flexibility, and endurance since starting here. I don't believe I would be nearly as far along in my recovery if it hasn't been for going here, and I think my healing process would have stopped prematurely had I not had the benefit of this rehabilitation.
