    Taylor swift dance night
    Sindu K.

I found out about the Taylor Swift dance party that happened on April 7th and as a huge swiftie, I had to check it out. The tickets weren't expensive, with all taxes and charges, it was about 17$. I was able to get in easily, the staff was super nice and friendly. The dance night was lit, and the DJ did an amazing job and was energetic. The sound system and lighting were on spot. The ventilation was good too. I ground floor was the dance floor area, and the first floor had a good amount of seating. I don't have any complaints based on this visit. The night was amazing and would come back again for sure. There is only street parking near this place.

I think this venue is good size for concert or event and yet feel it intimate. Their is kind of a loft upstairs but it wasn't open when I went there. I guess you won't be able to watch the performance downstairs if it gets busy upstairs. There were five tables downstairs on the sides. It wouldn't matter because everybody was in the middle singing and dancing. Good acustic. I guess the rest of the sound would be on hands of each performer's team. They had a small bar near the other exit. I would stick to the list because when asking for an old fashioned, they didn't have orange juice. But the more interesting part in winter is that it gets cold. This was the first time I was wearing a jacket for a concert. It usually gets warm. I can't decide if I liked it or not. But definitely don't like that cold inside in a concert. We can see there was a window there. Wind comes I. Through it. Don't know how but it was cooler near it. I guess it will be perfect on spring or summer. Restrooms are on the left and backstage, shower and dressing room and the right from the stage. Security staff was very nice, polite, and friendly. Thanks for your help!

Neumos for a show was my third date with a girl. The show was initially sold out, I reached out to the management offering to help setup, or cleanup, or professionally shoot the show. They responded much to my surprise and said if I wanted it that bad... enjoy the show and two tickets would be waiting for me at will call. We've been happily married for 11 years now and have a 5 year old who loves to dance and sing. We still keep the songs we heard that night on rotation. Thank you Neumos. You were unknowingly a major part of writing our initial love & life story.

    Ask the Community - Neumos

Do they have a coat check?

    Yeah

Do they let you come back after leaving?

I believe so. Seem to remember when I was there in May that after getting stamp or wristband, we walked out before main act and returned no problem about half hour later

Do they frisk or wand you or have metal detectors?

    They did not

Can you bring bags into the venue?

Yes. They look through them before you go in, but you absolutely can.

There's a good amount of seating in the platform area and a large open floor in the middle. A lot of people also stand/dance on the same platform as there's a lot of leeway for you to move between areas. I never really do coat check because I'm paranoid about not having my things on me, but the one here is easy and reliable. The only real issue was the photo booth which only worked for the first half hour or so. I'm assuming it ran out of film or something because at some point, it just kept taking people's money without taking any photos, which was brought up to the staff. This isn't necessarily on Showbox since the photo booth is provided by a vendor, but I would've appreciated an "out of order" sign. If this happens to you, you can visit the vendor's website and call for a refund!

As a single woman who enjoys luxury, ambiance, good food, and intentional experiences, Jazz Alley gives all of that and more every single time. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels elevated without being pretentious. The lighting, the live music, the energy -- everything feels carefully curated to create an experience, not just a dinner reservation. And let's talk about the music... absolutely beautiful. The artists and performances are always thoughtfully selected, and there's something magical about sitting there enjoying live jazz while eating amazing food and simply being present in the moment. The food quality never misses either. Consistent, flavorful, beautifully presented, and worth every dollar spent. This is definitely one of those places where you go to intentionally spoil yourself a little. What I love most is that Jazz Alley reminds me that luxury doesn't always have to involve another person. Sometimes taking yourself out, getting dressed up, ordering great food, listening to live music, and enjoying your own company is the real flex. So here's your reminder: Don't wait on anyone else to enjoy life. Get cute and do you boo.

At first I was hesitant to order this salad, thinking the beef might be chewy, but the server assured me it was tender--and it absolutely was. Perfect medium rare and truly fork-tender. I, my wife, and her friend stopped by for New Year's Drinks around 6, and about 6:30 or so, made the mistake of asking Tim Duvall, the clearly drunken before 7:00 PM owner of the establishment, whether outside food can be brought into the bar. This led to his regaling us with an extended and utterly unsolicited history of the bar. He then invited himself to sit with us, halfway into the seat before slurring a "Can I sit down?" to insert himself into our booth. We then moved to another unsolicited conversation, this time about politics. Now, to be clear - I have no doubt that I and a sober Tim Duvall probably agree on most of our politics. This did not stop him from berating me as I agreed with his point, loudly escalating and yelling as I tried to agree with him (again... to be clear, I DIDN'T disagree his political view) until he stood and began yelling that I was kicked out. As I stood to talk on him, he became VERY comfortable with putting his hands on me, grabbing my sweatshirt to move me. I was NOT about to challenge that as a Black man new to Seattle that doesn't know how the police would handle things. I need to be very specific about how quickly this man felt comfortable touching me, grabbing my sweater to "drag" me. This is the step that is WAY over the line. I would genuinely like to recommend this place, as I'm looking for bars that offer sugar cane soda. Drunken ownership- in the early evening in New Year's - that feels comfortable being handsy with Black folk is far too much. AVOID at all costs.
