What a wonderful farm! Yes, this is a working cheese farm! When we pulled up, we were immediately greeted by Loraine, the owner of the farm. She was very personable and excited to share her craft. After going through her products and letting us sample, she asked us to wonder and visit with her happy animals. As we walked around, the animals seemed stress free and eager to say hello. They loved being petted to the point of being pushy. Lol We had a fantastic time and recommend this for people of all ages. We bought their fresh hard and soft cheese to enjoy with our wi

Our visit to Nettle Meadow was absolutely wonderful! We went on a Saturday morning for a tour of the property with one of their owners (as advertised on the website). She spent an hour talking about how they came to be goat farmers, about the animals living there in the sanctuary, and it was really just a beautiful day. We loaded up on cheese in the shop, which is delicious. If you find it, the Apple Cider Fromage Frais is the best cheese I've ever had. If you're doing Google Maps to find it, make sure you download the offline map before you go!

Beautifully restored barn that you can apparently also rent for events!

I love this place! It's an easy drive from Saratoga Springs, and the cheese was wonderful. But the visit was truly memorable because of the sweet animals and the very friendly and helpful employee who showed us all around the farm. They have a beautiful second floor of the barn that looks like an upside-down ship's hull, and they have interesting events there. Unlike other farms we have visited, they do not sell the male goats for meat here - they take great care of all the animals and it's clear that they really care about them and treat them well. They even take care of injured animals that need a home. This place would be a fun farm visit for anyone, and the delicious cheese is a bonus. Try the kunik cheese - you won't be disappointed!

Love this farm! We stop by every year when we are in the area. Check out all the animals - they are truly loved -- and buy some cheese.

My wife and I bought a whole small cheesecake and brought it back to our B&B, the Landmark Inn. We sat together, ate it slowly, laughed, kissed, and made love. That simple cheesecake became the centerpiece of one of the most beautiful, intimate weekends we've ever had. It wasn't just dessert - it was magic. It reminded me how joyful life can be, how love feels, and how small, perfectly made things can create lasting memories. Thank you, Don, for your craft, your dedication, and for making something that became so much more than just cheesecake for us. My wife and I have been through some really tough times the past few years, and when I tell you that we reconnected over this cheesecake, I mean it. It's not just good, it was a big part of a moment in time that helped heal a part of us that was so very broken. What an amazing trip. We WILL be back. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. P.S. to the girl that came in disgruntled when she found there was only plain cheesecake left, I hope you someday find happiness too. Maybe you should give the cheesecake a try. It worked for us. Doesn't my wife look happy with her PLAIN cheesecake?

Local cheeses with samples to taste, jellies and jams, sauces and syrup, and plenty of deserts including CHEESECAKE! We used to have a restaurant in finger lakes area an one of our feature menu items was our Cheesecake, so I am a little bias when it comes to good cheesecake. Don was insistent that we try his but we were reluctant. We did purchase a bunch of other items and when we were checking out, Don put a piece of cheesecake in our bag. Soo glad he did! It was delicious. The challenge is accepted, the next time I'm in the area, I'll be bringing a piece of my cheesecake for him to try! Thanks Don! Glenn & Christine

(Certainly a lucky neighborhood) It looks small from the street but once you walk in, it opens up to a sizable store. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, he took the time to describe their cheese selection and the other things going on in the shop. He then pivoted to giving us tons of help selecting the right cheese. We sampled a couple of things and then he dialed in three choices for us to buy. (With an assist from another customer that insisted that we would love the Delice de Bourgogne) Prices were reasonable enough for the quality. We added some gourmet crackers that were neutral enough to not overpower the cheese. The next day, we made the three cheeses the focus of our lunch. The Delice de Bourgogne was the star of the show, a creamy, earthy, and savory masterpiece. The two year aged Gouda and creamy blue cheese were delightful as well! Truly glad that we walked into The Cheese Traveler!

We appreciated the relatively local (Quebec, VT, NY) cheeses they have, and our destination cheese, Wisconsin Brick (which we had never tried before, and which they were quite willing to work with us on getting the appropriate size). The sandwiches looked delicious but we were there at the wrong time of day, alas, but we will 100% be back. If you like cheese, this is a destination location for the region.

Very good cheese all around! There is no doubt that this creamery makes some fantastic goat cheese…read more This is especially true due to there being very few goat cheese options in my city of Pittsburgh beyond the standard supermarket brand. This cheese doesn't taste like foodservice. It takes like genuinely delicious artisan cheese. As far as I know, this particular location on Yelp is not open to the public. Maybe it was at one point, but newer reviews point to it being closed now. So I probably wouldn't recommend making the drive here just for some free samples, especially considering the cheese isn't expensive anyway. I was able to acquire some from a local Aldi for just a few dollars ($3-4, I believe). I was quite blown away. The cheese is so creamy and all around perfect. No grittiness, perfectly pure flavor that truly makes it feel like an upscale experience. This particular cheese is a dip, but I ate it straight from the container because that's how good it is. Plus, it's also quite light! 45 calories for 2 tablespoons, and around 250 for the entire container! I will say, though, it's tough to get your hands on this product sometimes. All in all, I highly recommend giving the Vermont Creamery's cheeses a try. The goat cheese dip is fantastic, and I enjoyed it straight out of the container. I'm sure their other products are just as delicious, and they make for a great gift, appetizer, or snack.

I have been enamored with Vermont creamery since I worked at Whole Foods in New England, so this was at the top of my list to visit. What you're actually visiting is their corporate offices. Inside they look a little like a fancy, corporate barn. The staff is SO welcoming. When you get there, although you can't do a tour, you can taste your way thru their award winning cheeses. I forget the front desk woman's name but she was THE NICEST. Upon walking in, she asks if we want to try some cheese. Well, of course we did! She walks on back to the kitchen and a few minutes later emerges with something magnificent. A wooden cheese board in the shape of the state of Vermont featuring: - 3 kinds of goat cheese: pepper jelly, honey, and regular - cultured butter: yes, we ate this by the spoonful alone and have zero regrets. - creme fraiche with vanilla - their award winning Bonn bouche- an ash ripened goat cheese that is stinky and delish! All of this was on the house! Then you can purchase anything you'd like but at cost which is AMAZING! We brought home a ton of goat cheese from here and our friends and family were extremely pleased.
