Had a wonderful experience at Nespresso in University Village! We happened to visit on a Saturday when they were hosting a pop-up experience serving $2 coffees, which was a fun surprise. They also offered free coffee tastings and had plenty of comfortable seating, making it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. The shop itself is very cute and thoughtfully designed with a nice atmosphere that encourages you to stay awhile. Ari was a very helpful and accommodating specialist in the U Village store. She was very patient with all of our questions and answered honestly about pros and cons on various machines, helping to steer us to the model that would best fit our needs. We really appreciated the thoughtful and honest responses, which are sometimes difficult to get. With her guidance and suggestions we were able to buy a whole system and get the subscription service, which helped reduce the cost of the total package. We went back a couple of days later, for a private training session with Jordan, who was also very accommodating, knowledgeable, and patient with all of our questions. His training helped us appreciate many of the features of the Virtuo Up and milk frother that we bought. We would definitely recommend training even if you think you know how to use the machine or how to make coffee. It was also very helpful to find out about maintenance to keep the machine running in good condition for a longer period of time. I would definitely recommend trying to go to a boutique rather than buying online for the personal experience and help that you can get. The U Village store is also very convenient. read more

Such a cool, unique store! They've got delicious free samples of various kinds of roasts, flavors. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and give you great info about some of the fun facts about coffee, beans, reasons behind tastes. Beautiful store, and comfortable seating. They even have an extensive menu if you wanted to buy some delicious lattes. My hat pup and I enjoyed a lot. They were all very knowledgeable about the different types of coffee, the notes, and the configurations of each machine. Only speaking to the cafe portion of this store since I didn't buy pods or a machine, but I will come back! $2.50 for a 20oz oat milk peppermint mocha was such a good deal compared to other coffee shops. Service was quick and friendly and there's a window you can order from if you don't want to go inside the store if it's too busy. There's a long bench and I think a few small tables you can stay and enjoy your coffee at. read more

This was my first visit to Nespresso store in University Village Seattle. I usually buy my capsules in Bellevue, but decided to stop by in Seattle store after visiting some friends. I was looking for new coffee to try and decided to try a new capsule I've never seen before. A gentleman came over and offered help. His name was Tom. I wanted iced coffee, but he said No, no ice. OK can you get it from the coffee bar? He said, No, can't. Ok can I have some milk? No, no milk. OK, well can you add some hot water then? He turned around ready to leave and then turn around and said No, I'm not gonna give you hot water either, you just too demanding, and I was told that you were here the other day and was rude. I said, excuse me? I've never been to the store before. So not only he acted unprofessionally he was also dishonest, making stories about customers. Very disappointed in the personnel at the store. Although I don't think they're all like that, at least I hope not. I don't think I will be back. Bellevue employees are a lot nicer. I hope that managers at the Seattle store read this review. The To-Go window was slow, only one employee. He was super sweet and patient as a small line formed inside and outside. We ordered a vanilla caramel latte and also tried their "recipe of the month", White chocolate strawberry. The vanilla caramel latte is definitely the way to go as the strawberry one was mixed with the nuttier coffee and an odd pairing for us. 2.50 for a latte is like unheard of in this city, so refreshing. I had fun exploring the store, mingling with the associates and sampling the different coffee pods on their machines. I found their Almond Croissant coffee Vertuo pod to be delicious. Only other nespresso cafe I've been to was in Rome and few other European airports. They have their own latte bars that offer Togo lattes for reasonable prices. Went there on a Saturday evening, not busy at all. The gentleman on the floor was very nice and helpful. I'm a long time Nespresso customer and usually either buy my pods on Nespresso's app or go to Macy's in Bellevue. This was my first time buying pods at the Uvillage location. In comparison to Macy's the customer service was sub par. The person at checkout was not personable and almost rude. I asked for a recycle bag and explained which one I needed and she essentially gave me a look of "I already know". Then I had to ask for the standard 2 pod coffee sample which she looked annoyed by. All of these things are always offered at the Macy's whose customer service is top notch and they create a good experience. The Uvillage store is "trendy" but they lack in customer service, which I expect from the brand Nespresso. Their coffee is also high priced. The staff at Uvillage could use some pointers from the staff at their Bellevue location. read more

A fancy Nespresso store in University Village--such a treat! We visited right around closing time, but the staff was kind enough to accommodate us. I tried one of their festive coffee testers, and it was absolutely delicious. The location, service, and ambiance are all top-notch. I was craving hot chocolate, and even though they were technically closed, they went out of their way to make one for us--so sweet! Stopped to get a wonderful latte. My husband said his was as good as our up the street coffee shop (Overcast). Lovely barista, very friendly and efficient. My sister-in-law drinks nothing but Nespresso and it is delicious when we visit her. This place is like a parody from The Onion of a pretentious store trying to sell an "experience" instead of a product. The product here is quite good for a pre-packaged coffee. It makes sense to give out samples, but they need to tone it down and make it easier for customers who just want to buy new pods of their favorites and recycle the old ones. They should have a designated counter for that. read more

I had a feeling before going in that I might get tailed or ignored for being dressed super casually, but went in anyway.... Coffee bar was super great, bought a latte, and then tried to catch someone's eye to literally give them more of my money. I said hi to an employee (standing still, unoccupied) who reluctantly said hello before running away, and came back with other clients and told me in the most customer-service-polite way to kick rocks because he needed the place I was standing and the menu I was looking at for other "clients". I felt super weird and ran away. I'm open to the idea I'm the one who did something wrong here, but at no point did any of the like, 10 floor employees ask me any questions or explain how their weird ass coffee store works. I don't blame the guy for trying to do his job, these guys clearly have commission to make, but this isn't a Birkin storefront. Lesson learned, dress like you have a trust fund, or buy your coffee online!! read more

Rude staff. I went in ready to buy several sleeves of Nespresso. I picked up a sleeve and walked to checkout. I was surprised to learn that despite there not being an apparent line, I overheard that I was supposed to be on a waitlist to checkout. When I approached one of the girls holding an iPad, I asked kindly if I was supposed to be on a waitlist to checkout or if I could just go to an apparently open register, not knowing the process, she rudely said, that there was a 25 minute wait and that they can't just let people go up to the register because they want people to linger in the store and they are creating an experience where they can talk to people - I can tell you that had I not approached her directly, I do not believe she would have come up to me as I had already been in the store for about 5 minutes. Do better Nespresso, not everyone understands how your store flow works, err on the side of kindness. Instead, the college aged girl said I should come during the week when it was less busy, and when I said I work during the week she shrugged and walked away. Do better. read more

I spoke with customer service and asked for the number of the store.cI couldn't hear her and said her headset was bad. I asked if she could speak up and she wouldn't answer. I asked for the phone number for this store and I was told it wasn't available. I asked to be connected. She said she couldn't. I asked if the store had an actual phone. She told me, "I can't tell you yes and I can't tell you no." I asked if she was AI because it was such a ridiculous conversation. She repeated the same script "Is there someone I can help you with?" I said yes, please help me speak to someone in the store. She said she couldn't help me with that. I finally gave up. Oh my goodness - if I could give this zero stars I would! We went there to BUY some pods - let me say that again - BUY some pods. We go in and its like they are trying to create this "we are cooler than anyone" vibe. I go up to the register and they say that we have to FIND the greeter and put our name on the list. Ummm - shouldn't their Greeter find us? Plus - there is no name tag saying Hi I am the Greeter. We just stand there looking sheepish until someone comes up to us and puts our name on their little handheld device. Meanwhile, there are three different areas where people are oohing and ahhhing over samples - with 3-4 employees milling about with them and just walking around. This is just pure silliness. We are a guaranteed sale AND pretty quick sale to. I don't know - not a business person myself - but would think you would want to make purchasing your items fairly quick and easy. Think we will stick with Macys at Bellevue Square - definitely more straight forward to purchase pods ie there is a person at register and you go there or stand in line. read more

Customer service is a 0. There was 7 cashiers standing around laughing and deciding who's going to the back to pickup "my purchase" after I had purchase it. Also they put me in "queue" so that my purchase would be ready fast and still ended up waiting 15 min to just buy a descaling kit and mind you I was the only one in store!
