There is a game room with ping pong, pool, darts, ect. Showers and restrooms are SUPER clean and smelled very nice. There is a short 10 min walk to Ophir rest area, a great way to enjoy the beach. The tent sites are very secluded and only down side is that it is a very far walk if you need to use to restrooms. (Unless you drive). There are porta potties out there if that's your thing. The sunset is very beautiful. Bonus points for hearing the waves crash during the night. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try it out.

When I arrived there was no wind, and it's a beautiful spot, flat and very easy access off the road but definitely private. Since I wasn't sure which site to choose he walked the entire park with me, teaching me about the different trees and showing me each site. He spotted a weed and we stopped so he could pull it. He's a treasure. Ps, he built it all himself many years ago, landscaped it and cut all the trails as well! I'd guess him to be near 80.

Known to berate people out on a whim is another deal. Geez, tone it down a bit and give people some space to relax. Pros: *Super quiet *Staff helps guide rigs in to park. *Probably not great for kids. *Beautiful location on the river. *Bathrooms; very clean. *Prices are reasonable. *Decent wifi. *Owner pays attention to keep the riff raff out. Cons: *Gravel spots. *Super small patios that are heaving which could lead to twisted ankles exiting rigs. (Request to owner: Remove some of the lawn and improve patio size, this much needed improvement would also use less water and allow patio furniture more space). *Uptight guy owner. *Many deer hazards on the road to town.

We almost didn't stay the night but the bed was surprisingly decent....and we were tired after a day of adventures. The view is nice, but certainly not worth the filthy interior. The toilet clogged the first time we used it. There is a plunger available, which tells me this is an ongoing problem. The bathtub was absolutely disgusting, with hair in multiple places. We found a fruit pit on the floor, a pile of change, and sand in a lot of places. There was no coffee in the unit. We went to the office, but it was closed. It is right by the ocean, our spot was clean and decent sized and the people (both visitors and the guy in the office) were pleasant. We have no complaints and would visit this park again. UPDATE: Stayed again five days later and this time we visited the restrooms. They are clean and well kept. Remember, this is an older park - you are not going to have state of the art stuff. You are within walking distance of the beach and can watch the sea lions frolic or the fishermen in their boats. The gentleman in the office couldn't have been nicer the both times we were here.

Words cant express how happy Steve n I are finally. This Rv Resort is as close to perfect as it gets. First day we pulled in we was greeted and rescued by the manager Dave.. We got curb side service from Dave and all the awesome people living in this well managed park. We have had so much help, advice, hands on guys getting us all settled in. I just cant imagine why on earth anyone would give this place a bad review... honestly if they do.. They are down right missing some brains.. lol lol Speaking as a full timer for several years in RV living and traveling we have only had one other park that we loved so much. What else can you ask for in life? Peaceful, scenic, breath taking every time I open my rig's door to go out side. You probably are saying " hey you just got there" .. but I know a good thing when I find it and this is it. if you are just spending a night or making this your home, you will be blessed once you arrive. Nothing better than the good old days when people helped people and respected where they live. We couldnt of asked for a better place when we needed to relocate and relax. Water pressure 60 psi, 50 amp strong, no Verizon but their wi-fi is sufficient. Green grass watered regularly. Vehicular access to the Rogue River. Ice. Propane. They also have exceptionally friendly "locals". You'll love this place, if you can get a spot. Obviously it is very popular! Plan on a 30 minute round trip into Gold Beach to get groceries.

The photos gave us the impression that our rental would be closer to the water, but it was not. The…read moreroom also felt smaller than expected, and the overall experience did not feel like a resort. It felt like an RV park with a few manufactured homes. We were asked to leave because our dogs were briefly off leash the night we arrived. My partner had an accident in the cramped quarters and got a black eye. In the commotion, our golden retriever got out while he was going to the car to get ice. When we realized he was missing and opened the front door, he was sitting there waiting. The next morning, we were walking our dogs from the unit to the car on the property, looking for their leashes, when the park manager, Deidre, confronted us about the leash rule and said our dog had been "all over the small park" the night before. We tried to explain what had happened, but she was unnecessarily confrontational and focused on the fact that we had "broken the rules." She also considered it another violation that we had stepped out from our unit to the driveway of our rented home without leashes. After several minutes of being scolded while we were outside trying to leave, she said, "I am not trying to be a hard ass." At that point, we told her she was definitely going overboard. I could not change what had happened the night before; I could only leash the dogs going forward. In frustration, I cussed and asked what the actual penalty was so we could stop having a confrontation on our vacation. She returned within the hour, knocked on our door, and told us, "The penalty is to leave." She added that if we did not leave, she would call the police. We packed up and complied. Frankly, I was not upset about leaving because we did not like the accommodations and had felt stuck with a three-night stay we had already paid for. On our way out, we stopped at the office to discuss the unused nights. Deidre arrived, intercepted the conversation, refused a refund, told us to leave, and said she was calling the police a second time. What shocked us most was that Deidre tried to keep payment for nights we did not stay. We worked through Airbnb and ultimately received the refund against Diedre's wishes. Future guests should know this is an RV park, not the waterfront resort experience the listing suggested to us. We found a real beachfront place down the road for much less money.

Cons: First come first serve. No assigned spots, even if you made a reservation. Washing machine barely works and dryer just sucks your money and doesn't dry. Crazy lady lives there full time. What else is there to say? As long as people come keep coming and Ireland's makes money, I don't think things will change.
