We loved staying at this park, the only reason I deducted a star is no WiFi, from our spot anyway. We chose it because it was close to Jerry's Jet Boat rides, only a 5 minute electric scooter ride, and right next to the beach. We didn't seem to have WIFI, but we have excellent 5G Verizon service so we could stream from our phones. The managers are so friendly and helpful, our Motorhome with trailer was too big for the pull through spot I had reserved, so they figured out another spot for us. Then the gentleman even took my husband to see the site, with its new blacktop pad, ahead of time in their cart, to make sure he was happy with it, and helped us back our trailer in and disconnect. The small airport between the campground and town works as a great buffer for any road noise from hwy 101 and only a few planes landed and took off in the 4 days we were there, providing a little extra interest. We purchased ice at their store for a much more reasonable price than local places too. We will choose to stay here again in the future! read more

This was the WORST experience we've ever had!! We arrived late, around 5:30 pm. We got our check-in info at the office door. We then found our site. This place is quite run-down at first sight. Anyhow, we parked our RV and started the process of hooking up our RV to water, sewer, and electric. To our surprise, the sewer hole was filled with rocks, so we were unable to connect our hose. We called the number on our paperwork and a gal called back. We told her we were unable to hook up to sewer. She was VERY hostile over the phone and in person. The maintenance guy was called and he came over and checked it out, immediately he blamed the next door neighbor kids. He took a few wacks at it with a sledge hammer and basically destroyed it. We told them we couldn't stay as we paid for full hook-ups and this was not acceptable. We asked for our money back, it was $130 for two nights. The woman said no, the man said we should talk to the manager in the morning. So we left, it was a Friday evening. We drove north looking for a place to stay the night, everything was booked. We stopped at a KOA and told them our circumstance. They were gracious and allowed us to stay in a spot, no hook-ups but at least it wasn't along the highway! They charged us a reduced price. We were grateful to use the shower and bathroom facilities there. Anyhow, OceansideRV said they would reimburse our money. Never happened until two weeks later when I called and asked why. They said they didn't have my CC info. Yet our paperwork had the info. Anyhow, they ended up only reimbursing half!! This place was disgusting, we even took pictures of our site. This RV Park may have it's positive points, but anything positive is completely undermined by the horrible old guy running the place. This was the worst customer service we have ever encountered in over 600 nights camping in dozens of states across America and Canada. The park has bathrooms and showers, laundry facility, a little store, full and partial hookup sites, and a dry camping area. We made reservations a couple of days in advance for the dry camping area, which was our preference because of the better, unobstructed views and proximity to the beach. We arrived, paid for 3 nights, assigned a site, then shown its location on the park map. Looking at the map, we identified the location of the RV dump and asked if that is also where we will find the potable water -- the typical arrangement, as most RVers know. We were then told that we don't get water because we're "dry camping". It's important to note that the park has water, as they have both shower and laundry facilities, common water, RV dump, and water spigots at all full and partial hookup sites. But, if you stay in the dry camping area, you're not entitled to it. Not even for a price. This is completely out of the norm, and we told him so. We've certainly camped in places where we had to pay extra to buy water (rarely, however) or pay to use the RV dump station, sure, but forbidden? Never. I asked why this was his policy, and he just sternly stated, "dry camping means dry camping." We were shocked, and said, "This is your business and you're entitled to run it the way you want, but we want you to know based on our experience, this is very unusual and poor customer service." The guy then grabbed our map and paperwork, crunched it up and threw it in the trash, saying, "get your refund and go elsewhere then." He processed our refund and showed us the door. So campers beware: if you stay here in the dry 'no hookups' lot, your $20/night will get you a parking spot in the dirt. But be sure to arrive with full water tanks. Or better yet, go to one of the other many RV Parks in town where managers care about their customers and are willing to show a little courtesy. One more note: after this awful experience, I did a bit of research on other campground and RV Park review websites, and apparently this nasty old man has quite a reputation. This wasn't just an off day for this guy. He is just mean, rude, and wants everything to be his way or the highway, without applying any real logic whatsoever. Case in point: the site he had assigned us was right next to the ONLY other camper. The entire rest of the lot was completely empty, but when I asked if we could look around and choose our own site, we were told no. This is his little kingdom, and he makes the rules. read more

Cancellation policy is short but understandable cancellation on a booking made 48 hours in advanced and cancelled within 24 hours due to credit card not being accepted. One night booking, Manager kindly refunded me knowing the circumstance. read more

We really liked this little RV park. We needed a place to go for the night and found this park. Yes, it is a bit run down, and yes, it is by itself near a small airport (which we did not hear any planes landing or taking off), however, it has alot of character (which is what we look for). It is right by the ocean, our spot was clean and decent sized and the people (both visitors and the guy in the office) were pleasant. We have no complaints and would visit this park again. UPDATE: Stayed again five days later and this time we visited the restrooms. They are clean and well kept. Remember, this is an older park - you are not going to have state of the art stuff. You are within walking distance of the beach and can watch the sea lions frolic or the fishermen in their boats. The gentleman in the office couldn't have been nicer the both times we were here. read more

When we rolled into Gold Beach, we headed straight to the visitor center, and I asked them for a recommendation for an RV Park with a great view of the ocean. She directed me to Oceanside RV Park. When we pulled in, Larry, the office manager, is soft spoken, but a good guy. Upon telling him that this is our first time @ and RV Park, he said "Oh Boy," and then proceeded to give us a complete rundown of everything... including guiding us into the easiest spot to pull into. He even gave us hints and pointers on how, when, and where to find those lincoln city glass floats along the beach. They even have 2 Wifi points, and Larry told us which one is best for our location. The internet is great for free ~50ms ping to SF, ~312k down, ~77k up. The beach and ocean are not only visible but audible from the park. The airstrip is a municipal airport, and it's great watching the occasional cessna take off over us. Showers are hot and clean. As for safety, you're next to an airport and the police station is on the far end of the runway. read more

We have stayed in over 450 RV Parks while traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach. This was our first visit here staying 5-nights (site #G4 - Pd $45.70 per-night) during June 2020. (1) The roads are a mixture of hard packed dirt, gravel, and sand. The dust on our coach was minimal, until the wind kicked-up. Once that wind blew, the sand started flying. No more clean coach! (2) Level pads: Big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park a 5-star rating for the level pad, but a 1-star rating because the pad was sand/gravel/dirt. We had to be careful not to back-up all the way into the site due to the amount of loose sand located in the rear. This park has average space between the sites with each site having a narrow strip of gravel/sand/dirt/grass between. Sites come equipped with a small picnic table. (3) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. For some users such as ourselves, WIFI is an important feature. This park receives 0-stars for their WIFI. We were told this park did offer wifi but after talking with several individuals staying here, maybe the only sites that receive good a signal are located next to the office. (4) Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning extremely difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver. (5) Satellite, as you know satellite reception is difficult to receive when there are large trees present. If you stay away from the sites with the tall trees located to the south, you should receive reception here. Beware of the wind as you may need to stow your dish when the wind gusts get too strong. (6) Phone Service, we have AT&T which worked great here. (7) Dog play and potty. No dog walk area here. Plus, they request you walk your dog outside the RV park. But, being located directly across the street from the beach, there are plenty of places to walk your leashed dog. Just be sure to bring your own poop bags as none are provided. (8) Final thoughts: This RV park is located right alongside the runway for the Gold River Municipal Airport. Don't let that fact stop you from staying here! This being a small airport only small private planes land here and only during daylight hours. On the other side of the park is the beach. An easy-access beach! This is an ideal location for beach lovers. This park is older, only offers 30-amp sites, and would benefit from a little TLC. But the great location and friendly. helpful staff (Leslie & Gary) make-up for it. We would stay here again. read more

I'm giving one star because of convenience to beach. No additional stars as the manager totally unfriendly, as if he didn't want any business and hated his job. I Initially stopped in to inquire about dump station, but with his short and curt answers I decided not to even inquire about a site. Even the woman next door to office (his wife?) scowled at me as I got in my RV. Did I do something wrong for just driving in here? It was a weird experience for a business that should be welcoming RV'ers, not dissing them. read more

Nice location for an RV stop over. Right on the jetty and the beach. 5 minute walk to the boat landings and Jet Boat rides. The ocean view spots are very narrow and won't accommodate anything over about 26 feet. There are decent pull thrus on dirt. Owner and wife are very nice. Great place to camp if you are fishing or going out on the river with an outfitter. read more

Terrible experience. This place used to be so fun and hospitable and personable. My family has traditionally gone here every August for years and years. Then these corporate types took over...We were tent camping and we were told we had to knock on camp host door EVERY TIME one of us had to use the restroom past 10p.m. so that he can unlock it for us!! We have to let these people know when we have to poo past 10p.m.?! Ridiculous. They will harass you if your puppy barks even tho it's a dog friendly park. I was told I'd have to leave if my dog barked. Although the upgrades are nice looking- the staff attitudes and controlling demeanors ruin it! They need to learn about customer service. read more

Well this is my 2nd stay at this Rv park......I have to only give it 3 stars because of the grumpy old dude that helps run it. Definitely stop at the office before picking a site!!!! We picked a site because that's what we had done at the Rv parks the last three days and boy big mistake here! He was upset about that, says he has to assign your spot. Mind u there were a TON of open spots. Then I was taking a shower and he opened the door to yell I had 3 min, they close the showers to clean them. Ok that's the bad stuff......the great thing is the bathrooms are clean and roomy very hot showers with lots of pressure. The spot we stayed in appeared to have a full timer next door in a camper shell and we did not have sewer hook ups. I guess cuz we picked the site. The fee was $31.31 for a night. We had a dog had to keep her on a leash but the are ok with pets. It is a pretty decent walk to the beach. I have a bad knee and it was fine pretty level etc. the beach was awesome and we enjoyed our two nights but next time want to try turtle rock Rv we saw on the way out. Happy Travels. read more

I don't want to give away this one! Location, location, location! Right across street from ocean and river outlet! Very nice Larry welcomes everyone with a smile. Bathrooms were clean and fresh. Loved the "preserved " jig-saw puzzles on the walls. We had an oceanfront site- 180 view! Downside is 30 amp sites w/o septic. The septic sites don't have as scenic view. Airport runway right behind park- only small aircraft so fun to watch- not noisy. Within walking to harbor restaurants and shops. We camped in 40 ft motorhome. read more
