For a luxury resort charging premium prices, the service, room size, and communication were entirely unacceptable. Honestly, we felt like we received much better service at the Hampton Inns we stayed in along our route--and at least they offered breakfast! We will never go back.The Check-In Nightmare & Lack of AccountabilityWe gave the lodge advance notice that we would be on the property well before noon. We were told our room would likely be ready by 3:00 PM. No problem--we grabbed lunch and walked the grounds (noting a frustrating lack of shaded outdoor seating). We tried to use the complimentary bikes, but only 1 of the 4 was actually available. Furthermore, there are no bike paths--only a crazy, winding two-lane highway that is far too dangerous for a casual ride.When we returned to the lodge at 2:45 PM to wait, we were told it would be closer to 3:00 PM but was "in process." We were continually strung along with this same excuse for another hour, meaning they didn't even start cleaning our room until 3:30 PM. Even though we were staying in one of their most expensive rooms, we were made to wait, which felt entirely punitive. We were left feeling like "poor relatives" as we watched multiple other couples arrive and get checked in ahead of us.When we voiced our dissatisfaction, the front desk promised the manager would contact us that evening. It never happened. I asked again on day two, and she still wasn't available. I did finally get to talk to the manager, Hannah, and she offered a meager $100 food credit with absolutely no apology.Broken Amenities & High FeesWe were told prior to arrival that the property offered EV charging. Once we arrived, it became apparent that one charger was completely out of service, and the other remaining slow charger was continuously in use, leaving us stranded without a way to charge.We reserved a glass cabin with a river view--the most expensive tier. The base rate of $595 was steep enough, but after extra fees and taxes, it ballooned to an outrageous $800 a night. For that price, the glass room concept was incredibly gimmicky and not a relaxing place to be. The room was tiny (maybe 225 sq. ft. including the bathroom) with zero real storage. Because we were on a long road trip, most of our luggage had to stay in the car. To add insult to injury, the only small table in the room was completely cluttered with expensive retail items (wine, chocolate, etc.) for sale, with nothing priced under $20. The "nickel-and-diming" culture here is loud and clear.Very Limited Vegetarian Options & Slow DiningAs vegetarians, we found that dinner options on the property were extremely limited. One night, we ordered a lemony fettuccine dish. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive, and to our shock, it didn't even have any protein or substantial ingredients in it--just a meager 4-ounce portion of plain pasta fully prepared. Between one breakfast, one lunch, one dinner, and three drinks, our total bill for a two-night stay was over $1,800. The dining value and service here are completely ridiculous.Policy EnforcementThe lodge advertises a strict adults-only policy. While there were no toddlers, we observed several teenagers on the property who looked well under 18, leading us to believe they don't even enforce their own rules consistently.SummaryDo not let the photos fool you. Hannah's lack of management presence, broken amenities, tiny accommodations, and astronomical prices make Tu Tu' Tun Lodge a massive rip-off. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually values its guests.

They have really fixed the place up since we were there. They have added a wonderful porch that has a hot tub overlooking the river. (The river has even moved since then and is now right below the deck.) It's a great place to watch the seals, blue herons, egrets, osprey, and the sunrise over the distant hills. There is a wooden fence between each patio, so you have some privacy. Inside has been carefully remodeled to keep a cabin feel, but also give a touch of elegance. The woodwork and decor are both very nice and give the room a very cozy feeling, along with the nice gas fireplace in the livingroom area. The kitchen is simple, with a fridge and microwave, but no stove. There are a few plates, bowls, wine glasses, utensils, etc along with a small coffee pot, but the coffee given to use is just a tea bag coffee thing, so I'd recommend bringing your own. The bed was comfortable with end tables on each side. They don't have any usb plugins, but there are outlets close to the bed. There's also a dresser and small closet. The bathroom is also well appointed with a comfortable shower, small shelf for your shaving kit, a hair dryer, etc. Overall, we were very happy to see our old apartment turned into such a wonderful, relaxing resort. It brought back a lot of good memories, and we really enjoyed our stay. This is a real hidden treasure for the Gold Beach area.

I specifically booked this place for a jetted tub so was disappointed and on top of that the room was dirty. The hotel was able to move me to a room on the third floor. Very nice view and was a little cleaner than the first room. The room I first booked was a king bed with a "soaker" broke down jetted tub, room 501 which is also right next to the laundry room and on the bottom floor. Pictures show the gross marks and hair all over the lounger. My second room was 329 on the third floor with a king bed. The view was amazing and the location is steps away from the beach. The management needs to give more time to the cleaners and once a month they should lint roll the furniture and wipe off the marks. Also dusting is very much needed in the rooms. Overall the place is run down and not clean. Its pricey. I paid $178 for one night and thats with a BestWestern Diamond member discount. Lots of damage in rooms and not clean so be-aware if you have small kids. Also note that there are only wall heaters, they are very hot to the touch and do take time to heat the room. I did not see or use the ac since I visited in April. The only saving grace is the location and views on the third floor.

You can feel how much they value their guests and the experience they create. As a local resident, I'm especially grateful that Kim and Wess open their space to the community for events and spa services, even for those of us who aren't staying at the B&B.
