Nesheim's has been cleaning carpets in Boulder County for decades. I had used them years ago, long before Yelp, or at least my participation in it. The carpet cleaner I had used in the most recent years after I had bought newer carpet in another room and had worked for that carpet sales company has now changed career. So I called Nesheim's again to get my living room done before winter. This room has older carpet and had not been cleaned in 3 years, given the recent conditions for this sort of work. They were easy to schedule. The office gave a reminder call the day before. The worker arrived in plenty of time and was very professional and cordial. He worked hard, given the condition of the carpet. He had new equipment which seemed more powerful than what had ever been used here before by anyone. I guess the technology in the industry is better now and this company has invested in it. The price was more than fair, though we did do our own moving of the furniture both out and back in later. The carpet is vastly improved but of course will never pass for new anymore. But it came out better than I could have expected. If I had gotten the weather I was expecting, hot and dry like it was when I scheduled just 10 days ago, it would have dried more quickly but we worked around this for a day and it is just fine in the end. I did not have time this summer when the weather would have been more reliably hot and dry. But the season is changing now. read more

We have used this company for 15 years and it is not the same company now! I received an email the night before the service, saying they would arrive at 11 a.m. Two teenagers strolled in at 1:15. They did the very minimum possible. I had to ask them to at least move the end tables. We had worked hard getting items off any furniture so it could be moved. They were done in an hour and twenty minutes. One of the guys was on his phone a lot. Didn't remove any stains or even try. For over $760 (with the advertised 20% discount) they did a terrible and fast job. This is not the professional hard working team that use to come. read more

Shocking- using the excuse "Paying employees a fair wage" The price of gas... Inflation... These guys used to be great - 5 star service. We've used them numerous times over 30 years and always very happy. So when we needed to get the carpets cleaned, we called them. Never again. They didn't move squat. They did not move the desk chair to clean under the desk. And the chair is on rollers. Incredibly lazy half-assed job. So we'll be using someone else next time. Didn't even try to pull as far as they could from the garage door and left vehicle. If I could give a negative that would even be better. HIGHLY RUDE customer service from Leo Rivera to my daughter when he was supposed to be fixing a bleach stain in her carpet. Switching stories about patch carpet not matching, when he was supposed to check that in the initial estimation inspection. Never told her that they would be different, would we pay OVERPRICED $225 to out mismatched carpet in if we knew??? Don't think so. Then was going to charge to put original cut piece back in!!?? Called owner, they were of absolutely no help, saying WE WERE liars, HORRIBLE service!!!! In end, all my daughter had to say "he was really mean". Nice technicians you have working with you. I'm writing this review for their area rug cleaning, which involves them picking up rug taking offsite and brining back. First, when Gary showed up to get rugs he reeked of cigarette smoke. I thought no biggie, although it would be nice if person doing cleaning was clean themselves. He said it should take 3 weeks to have them cleaned and returned but said to call office in 3 days to confirm. When I called to confirm date for return of rugs, , the woman I spoke to said I have no idea why Gary would say 3 weeks, because usually it's 4 to 6 weeks. Ok? She said she would call me back after speaking to Gary. I waited two days no call back so I called and she said we are real busy, no sorry etc. ok fine, just let me know when I'll get my rugs back please. She says and I quote; "Whatever, Gary will bring them back in 3 weeks." Rude much? Third, when rugs were returned the two delivery guys showed up 45 minutes late and they also reeked of cigarettes. Maybe Neshiems has special hiring program for smokers or they were smoking in the boy rooms with Gary before coming to work. All I can say is Yuck! these guys were gross I didn't want them entering my home. Overall, terrible customer service, stinky gross employees (seriously they made elevator in my building smell of cigs it was that bad) and fairly expensive. I appreciate both the excellent carpet cleaning as well as the above and beyond customer service and communication from Nesheim's. They sent email confirmation of the appointment as soon as it was made and another one a couple of days prior to the appointment day. They gave me a 2-hour window for the arrival time but then the technician called me when he was 30 minutes out so I didn't have to be at home that whole time. The technician did a thorough job cleaning and was professional and friendly. Price-wise, they were comparable to other companies. I would definitely recommend them. read more

My puppy ate a section out of a very expensive, fine, Turkish rug. When Nesheim's told me they would have to replace sections of the rug, I was really nervous. I don't normally write reviews however I've used Nesheim's Cleaning Service many times over the years for carpet cleaning, hardwood floor cleaning/restoration, area rugs and furniture. I'm shocked at the posts from 2013 because I have always received professional and exceptional service. These days it seems rare to see a vehicle driven by a uniformed technician containing the company logo not to mention their name. As a women often home alone when I receive maintenance services this is important to me. I want to know who is coming to my home and why. The technicians have always been knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and accommodating since I do work from home. The most recent service I received was a carpet cleaning. We have a new puppy that finally finished relieving herself in the house so we felt it was time to do a deep clean. We are also expecting a new arrival to our family so the nursery needed a good cleaning and some scotch guarding in case of those unexpected accidents! They were fast, quiet, and did a fabulous job on the carpets. They were mindful of our hardwood floors and house in general, which I so very much appreciate. It is hateful when you hire someone to do work in your house and you end up cleaning up after them once they leave. This is never the case with Nesheim's. Some may feel their prices are high but I believe you pay for what you get. My house smells fresh and I feel we are now ready for a little one to safely crawl around when the time comes. They offer quite a few discounts so my recommendation would be to ask when they give you a consultation for a particular service. They take great care to ensure they don't damage or dirty walls or flooring by using covers and other protective equipment. I have a small Oriental rug (it's a Hereke, mostly wool, some cotton) that I purchased in Turkey 20 years ago. It's always been in my office in a low traffic area so I have neglected to have it cleaned since it was new. After a friend in Atlanta remarked how great her 20 year old Oriental rug looked after cleaning I decided to look for a suitable rug cleaning service here in Colorado. I found Nesheim's Oriental/Rug Cleaning on Yelp and based on the reviews I read I decided to give them a try. This was a great decision. Nesheim's made an appointment to pick up my Oriental Rug at no cost and were here as promised. They provided what I felt was a very reasonable quote and away went my rug. They called this week to tell me it was ready and made an appointment to deliver it, again for free. They arrived when they said they would and the rug looks great. I scheduled Nesheim's to clean a small portion of the wall-to-wall carpet in my home (@ 650 square feet). I was concerned that they would deem it too small a job and would try to upsell me as all their competitors do but they listened to what I wanted and followed through on my request. Andrew and Dan showed up on time, walked me through what they were going to do and how long it would take, and did a great job cleaning the carpet. They also managed to get some old ink pen stains out. I appreciated that they protected my furniture and walls during the service. I will definitely use Nesheim's again! read more

After calling to check why, I was told that I had rescheduled my appointment which did not happen. The receptionist was unfriendly and unapologetic. They were competent, professional and courteous. The results were excellent. On the wood floor they utilized a new technology that did not require sanding the floor. Horrible patch job. supposed to be guaranteed. They double charged me a double rate. Nasty people and messy. I wouldn't use them again if my life depended on it. The guy came out ripped a huge portion out of the closet. Leaving a HUGE hole then put in a totally different carpet in the doorway to patch. After dealing with a Living Social purchase from a carpet cleaner that was horrendous (two last minute cancellations by the company and then never called back again to reschedule as well as a rude LS customer service rep who did not want to refund my money), I decided to just cough up the big bucks and hire Nesheim's because I had heard good things about their service. They offered to have someone come out and give me a free estimate so I would not face any surprises. The fellow who came out was on time, friendly and professional. I was happily surprised that it was not going to cost me as much as I thought it would based on me hearing how expensive Nesheim's is. In reality, once I applied their first time customer coupon available on line, the cost was more than fair and reasonable. My appointment was booked for less than a week out. The young guy who came to do the job was extremely nice and came 30 minutes into the two hour window. He was there for 1.5 hours and did an incredible job! My nylon carpets looked brand new after 9.5 years of use with a very furry dog who likes to roll in the dirt living with me for the last 6 years. I do take off my shoes though when I walk on the carpets so they didn't have ground in dirt from shoe soles. The only thing that would have been a nice touch, but I don't think was an oversight or a big deal, would have been if in the process of vacuuming, they would have vacuumed off the dust bunnies accumulated along the baseboards. No biggie though. They were there to clean the carpets, not my baseboards. I think they really did a great job and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. read more

I had Nesheim's clean two hand-loomed Karakul wool rugs I had purchased as a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia. The rugs were spotless and had little wear, as I take good care of them. I have had them cleaned once previously by an individual and was very satisfied. Unfortunately, after Nesheims got a hold of them, they came back so rough as to be unusable. I was also disappointed in the quality of the cleaning, as the amount of dog hair on the rugs was unchanged and there was more debris on the rugs when I got them than when they picked them up. Unfortunately I feel they ruined what were priceless (to me) rugs. I learned the hard way: don't trust Nesheims with your valuable items! read more

Nesheim's used to be a great company (I've done busienss with them for years) but they either have a new manager or owner and are now probably the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. The receptionists are rude and unhelpful as is the manager. They are also very expensive and try to charge you for lots of extras (BEWARE!). I rarely if ever review companies, especially a carpet cleaning company but felt compelled to in this case. They showed up late, they showed up with the wrong crew for the job (forcing me to reschedule) and the manager didn't even call me back when I called him to discuss. I recently found myself stuck between a rock and a hard place when I returned from a trip to find that our dog had peed on our couch. We removed the effected cushions as we searched for the right cleaner. Two days later, my husband was in an accident and broke his leg. After several days in the hospital I remembered that the couch was out of commission and that we would need it for the first couple weeks of recovery as stairs were out of the question. I called several companies in the area and was told that everyone was booked and I was out of luck. When I called Nesheim's and explained the complicated situation I was told again that they were completely booked out but, to bring the cushions in anyway. They would put their best cleaner on it and have them back to me in a day. They helped make a horrible situation a little less stressful and the cushions have been completely defunked!
