The good: **Mary is a fantastic massage therapist. She was communicative, friendly, and responsive when I asked for adjustments/changes. She understood what I wanted to have her focus on and did a great job. By herself, it would be a 5* experience. **The spa is clean and relaxing. Both the massage rooms and the restroom were in great shape. **New Massage tables - at least when compared to my previous experience with Jing Jing/Daisy. **Very affordable, especially with the cash discount for a one-hour massage. Things that could have been better, but I'm not docking a star for: **The night sky ambiance (noted in other google and yelp reviews) wasn't offered - but giving that I'm face up for only about 10-15 minutes, it isn't a huge thing. **Similarly, their website mentions essential oils and hot stone, but again, these weren't offered/discussed. Depending on the cost, they might have been added to the massage. The things that made my overall experience less than stellar: **I called around noon, and made an appointment for 3pm. I arrived around 2:50, and Mary came out of one of the rooms to meet me. She told me things were a bit behind, and it would be 3:15, and showed me what room I would be in. At 3:15, she came in, and said the previous customer was just finishing up. However, by the time the previous customer dressed, paid, and perhaps Mary flipped the room, it was 3:30 before she started with me. So we are a half hour behind the original time. **Mary was also quite busy with being a receptionist - she answered about 5 calls, and had to leave the room to attend to other issues twice. The interruptions definitely affected the flow of the massage. I don't know if they were short staffed, or extra busy due to the rainy federal holiday. **Despite losing some time due to the interruptions for when she had to leave the room, the session ended promptly at 4:30 - no extra time given to make up for time that I was not the initiator of missing time. Most times for the phone she continued the massage while quietly talking to the customer. **At least for my session, the door was kept slightly propped open by a plastic spray bottle on the floor. Not exactly private, especially since I was in the room right next to the lobby. If any one of the above things had been an individual incident, I probably wouldn't think much about them. But when they all occur on the same visit, well... the whole is greater than the sum of the parts... Maybe it was just a rough day for them. Hopefully my next experience will be a little smoother.

I've dealt with chiropractors in the past and wasn't too thrilled to come to another because I thought I would be pulled, cracked, and snapped...but that was far from the truth with this practice. After sitting down and speaking with Dr. Taber about my concerns/fears and disappointments from my past, my mind was put at ease. I came in for my initial consultation and I was instantly impressed. The entire staff was friendly and eager to assist me. I was then seen by Dr. Ted Taber, the husband, of this married couple duo who owns this chiropractic practice. He assessed my medical situation. What impressed me the most was that since he took a look at my previous tests, he wasn't certain about something and didn't want to make any adjustments on me until he was 100% certain on a few things. He opted to have me go back for another round of testing, before he would treat me. I can appreciate his thoroughness and due diligence with the severity of my case. When I arrive, I have a normal routine that changes slightly when I come in - a few stretches/exercises, therapy, and then get adjusted. I never feel rushed or like I can't ask questions. It's a very therapeutic and organized process. I've seen videos on simple everyday things that can help me and had in-depth conversations on positions that could potentially make huge difference in my pain level. Although I've only been seen a few times thus far, I've noticed a slight improvement. I've been told it's going to get worse before it gets better and it will be minor differences in my pain level at first, but I welcome anything that can assist my chronic medical condition, even if it takes time. I come in a few times a week and the hours are conducive to my work schedule. The office itself is very clean and modern and easy to maneuver around. Nice design concept for the patients. About an hour later, I received another call from the spa saying his appointment time had to occur at a later time than I booked. After multiple changes, inconvenience, and uncertainty, I decided to cancel the entire appointment. I requested a full refund. I spoke with the manager, and the owner personally called me to apologize and assured me that I would receive a full refund. I appreciated the apology, accepted it, and moved on. Imagine my surprise when I received my credit card statement and discovered that I had been charged the full amount for a spa day that never happened. I immediately contacted the spa and spoke with the manager, but the explanations I received for why the refund had not been processed were unconvincing and frustrating. After everything that happened, I should not have had to chase down money that I was already promised would be refunded. I'm now being told that I will actually receive my full refund. That remains to be seen. The entire experience has been frustrating, to say the least. Customer service isn't just about apologizing, it's about following through!
