There are two large sections of this cemetery, one on the east side of Olentangy, one on the west a bit farther up. The east one is older, and a bit harder to get in and out of if there's any traffic. The west one is at a stoplight, and a bit more open and grassy. There is an office at the west one but I didn't stop. Both sections are nicely arranged and well marked. Peaceful, treelined drives - a bit wider in the new section- go through various areas. Well cared for. Sobering, sometimes touching. Woody Hayes and Dave Thomas are buried here. Their website has good maps and information. Between that and the app, graves are easy to find. Worth a visit.

Having to find a funeral home and a cemetery in such a short amount of time is not easy to do. We thought getting a plot would be a simple thing to do but found that cemeteries are very busy and you need an appointment. We visited a few cemeteries in the area and were disappointed by the lack of customer service and outrageous prices. We had heard that one didn't need to be Catholic to be buried here, and after stopping in for a visit we found that this was accurate information. The only stipulation that they had was that a religious symbol needs to be on the marker or headstone. For example praying hands, angels, etc. We loved the transparent price sheet. It was a few pages long, covered everything and even included a check sheet on what you need to do after a loved one has passed away. The prices here were about a quarter of the cost compared to other cemeteries near by. The staff was compassionate, caring, and very kind. We were given a run down of prices, lots available and shown options for markers and headstones. We were also chauffeured around the property. They made the process so simple and easy. They even offered us a payment plan so we didn't have to pay for everything all at once. The cemetery is beautiful. There are lots of trees and flowers. The main office was just built a few years ago and is very nice. We were told that there is enough land to last them for 100 years and this is the fastest growing cemetery in Columbus. We were impressed on every aspect of our visit here. I would highly recommend this place because of the affordable prices, customer service and the beautiful grounds.

My mom purchased her plot next to his, when he passed. They were next to my father's parents, so my family has a much longer relationship with Sunset. Fast forward 50 years, my mom passed. Needless to say, I've spent a great deal of time at this cemetery over the last few decades. Imagine my astonishment when we had such an issue getting a screw fixed on her grave stone, it took them 2 years to fix! I would have done it myself but I lived in another state. The office manager told my daughter DO NOT put your own screw in. It's a special screw, has to be special ordered. I called them every month and I don't know where this special screw had to come from but it took 2 years of phone calls to get a screw fixed. I just moved back to Columbus and visited recently. it used to be so lush and green and the lawn was so thick. The cemetery is not what it once was. My mom loved the lush green landscape and said it would be paradise to be laid to rest in a place that beautiful. It saddens me when I think about how that would make my mother feel.

Care and compassion are a high priority in this difficult experience. Available services include everything needed for a traditional funeral, such as burial, caskets, a viewing, a funeral, and more. Or, families can choose alternate packages, such as direct cremation, memorial services, or a life celebration. The on-site crematory allows the funeral staff to complete all parts of the cremation, without the need to include another provider. As a result, cremation cost is much more affordable compared to services offered through other funeral homes in the area, since these companies often need to hire out the cremation to another provider. Direct cremation can be completed, or families have the option to plan a memorial or funeral service along with the cremation.

This UPS Store has all of the positive attributes you look for: centrally located, friendly, efficient, patient, helpful, and, surprisingly, quick. They were well staffed and, I'm happy to report, everyone both behind the counter as well as the customers were wearing face masks! I would love to write a longer review, but what more is there to say? Ooh! A couple of more things: This may not be the closest UPS Store to where you are but I would definitely recommend you consider them. I mentioned the location is great but forgot to point out there is plenty of parking. It is located right off a major road in Hilliard with traffic lights on two sides of the shopping center. (I know, that probably seems like a silly thing to mention, but it really makes getting in and out much easier and, if you are like some people that I know and love, you'll feel much more comfortable driving in and out at a light rather than having to time your exit across a few lanes.) Plus there are a lot of other great businesses around including a Kroger, Arby's, a sub shop, a Chinese restaurant, and, at the end, a motor vehicle and driver license bureau so can kill (more than!) two birds with one stone. :-)
