I was told then they were running 3 to 4 weeks behind because of repairs to their equipment. Now they are 4 to 6 weeks behind, atleast! Absolutely unethical to take people's money and then have them wait nearly 2 months to get their beloved pets back. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! If you want your beloved pet home in a timely manner, go somewhere else. It's been a month after I was told 2 to 3 weeks, which at the time felt like an eternity. I called this past Sunday as it was going on 4 and was told I would hear from someone that Tuesday or Wednesday. It's now Friday and I was just told it will be another week. I can't even begin to explain how upset and angry I am. Losing my boy was a shock and devastated me. I just want him home. 4-6 weeks to get your babies back? Unacceptable. Never again.

I offered to come pick up his ashes, as my vet said they are short staffed, do not have enough people to pickup and drop back off. I received a call from a lady named Wendy. She said if I wanted to pay $100 more, they would place his cremation as "priority" and I could pick up ashes the same day I pay, that he was in their "queue" and it would be another week or so. I think that is a horrible policy - the fact that they are trying to make more money off of people who are grieving a lost family member truly is disturbing and disgusting. If they are short staffed, then they need to hire more people. They should be ashamed - people are grieving and you are attempting to prey on their sadness for monetary gain. It isn't easy for anyone to lose someone they love, and a lot of stress comes with the whole process for family members close to the deceased. Although I am a grandchild, and was not directly involved in the planning process, I was involved in the funeral ceremony etc. The facility itself had plenty of space for people to pay their respects and have privacy to mourn if needed. There was also a chapel for our service, and an area with a kitchen and dining area for refreshments etc. The personnel at SG-F were compassionate and helpful; everything that a funeral home staff is expected to be and more. Kind and considerate, they went above and beyond to ensure that the memories of that day remained somber yet precious for all of those involved. The space can hold quite a few people for a service, and they have side rooms they can open up for even more space. The air conditioner did interfere with the sound system a bit, but it was simple to turn it off temporarily and it was already nice and cool anyway. Trying to think clearly during a time like this is very difficult. I had remembered when my grandparents passed away that Shaw Davis was used and I heard how great, easy to deal with and how affordable it was compared to other funeral homes in town. We choose Shaw Davis and we could it have been happier with our decision. The staff was very professional, polite and compassionate. They have packages that can be purchased which makes it super easy. However we had a very unique situation and they tailored a package to our needs. The total package was excellently priced. The viewing and service went really well. The room was very spacious and allowed for a lot of people, we also used the overflow rooms. The bathrooms were very nice, clean and also had a baby changing table. There was coffee and water for the guests. There was also a large room with a tv where little ones could hang out and play. The graveside service was perfect. There was 2 staff members that were on site to help with any needs and make sure everything was moving as planned. Sad as our situating was, we couldn't have been happier with Shaw Davis. I highly recommend Shaw Davis as their pricing is affordable, transparent and stress free.
