UPDATE 1/28/26 My boy passed away on Dec 23 2025 and I've still NOT received his ashes. In October…read moreI lost my 15 year old cat, brought her here. I was told then they were running 3 to 4 weeks behind because of repairs to their equipment. Now they are 4 to 6 weeks behind, atleast! Absolutely unethical to take people's money and then have them wait nearly 2 months to get their beloved pets back. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! If you want your beloved pet home in a timely manner, go somewhere else. It's been a month after I was told 2 to 3 weeks, which at the time felt like an eternity. I called this past Sunday as it was going on 4 and was told I would hear from someone that Tuesday or Wednesday. It's now Friday and I was just told it will be another week. I can't even begin to explain how upset and angry I am. Losing my boy was a shock and devastated me. I just want him home. 4-6 weeks to get your babies back? Unacceptable. Never again.

My dog passed 12/3/23. He was with West Vets and Schoedinger handles cremations for them…read more On 12/21/23, I left a message for Schoedinger because I have not received his ashes yet. I offered to come pick up his ashes, as my vet said they are short staffed, do not have enough people to pickup and drop back off. I received a call from a lady named Wendy. She said if I wanted to pay $100 more, they would place his cremation as "priority" and I could pick up ashes the same day I pay, that he was in their "queue" and it would be another week or so. I think that is a horrible policy - the fact that they are trying to make more money off of people who are grieving a lost family member truly is disturbing and disgusting. If they are short staffed, then they need to hire more people. They should be ashamed - people are grieving and you are attempting to prey on their sadness for monetary gain. I wish I could give you 0 stars.

Friendly staff, clear & simple pricing, beautiful grounds…read more Buying plots for my family never crossed my mind until recently when we lost a child. Having to find a funeral home and a cemetery in such a short amount of time is not easy to do. We thought getting a plot would be a simple thing to do but found that cemeteries are very busy and you need an appointment. We visited a few cemeteries in the area and were disappointed by the lack of customer service and outrageous prices. We had heard that one didn't need to be Catholic to be buried here, and after stopping in for a visit we found that this was accurate information. The only stipulation that they had was that a religious symbol needs to be on the marker or headstone. For example praying hands, angels, etc. We loved the transparent price sheet. It was a few pages long, covered everything and even included a check sheet on what you need to do after a loved one has passed away. The prices here were about a quarter of the cost compared to other cemeteries near by. The staff was compassionate, caring, and very kind. We were given a run down of prices, lots available and shown options for markers and headstones. We were also chauffeured around the property. They made the process so simple and easy. They even offered us a payment plan so we didn't have to pay for everything all at once. The cemetery is beautiful. There are lots of trees and flowers. The main office was just built a few years ago and is very nice. We were told that there is enough land to last them for 100 years and this is the fastest growing cemetery in Columbus. We were impressed on every aspect of our visit here. I would highly recommend this place because of the affordable prices, customer service and the beautiful grounds.

They were very professional, efficient, dedicated, and caring. The funeral director, the limo driver, the office staff, even the motorcade security all took this task as if it were their own family. That is how they made me feel and that was my experience with the Diehl-Whittaker team. They strove for excellence and they made us feel like family. We are grateful to Diehl-Whittaker for the care and expertise they lent in facilitating this day for our dear departed Father.

I think it's awful funny that after the complaint on yelp and them trying to get the comment resented ,all of a sudden they're open to have at least 50 people to attend funerals of loved ones and family members. Since Mc Nabb went out of business, our family has used Diehl-Whittier on a regular basis. The buck STOPS here, I will never endorse their services for anyone that I care about. We come from a very large and extended family. when asked where do you want your loved one to go it's Definitely not Diehl Whittaker. I truly feel that they are insensitive to peoples feelings, they arein a business to give the deceased a proper burial or cremation but they need to remember to have empathy and compassion for the family. It's not all about the money and that's what it seems like what happened with my brother. You are in the business to bury humans and not treat people if they were a cat ,dog ,bird whatever. The Bible says I must forgive in order for my heavenly father forgive me. I forgive the staff of Diehl Whitaker and I will not call names, you know who you are. As for using your service or recommending your service again I (we) choose NOT to. There are many other funeral homes in the Columbus area. Maybe some sensitivity classes would be warranted and some additional training. Thank you Karla Brown
