I was told then they were running 3 to 4 weeks behind because of repairs to their equipment. Now they are 4 to 6 weeks behind, atleast! Absolutely unethical to take people's money and then have them wait nearly 2 months to get their beloved pets back. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! If you want your beloved pet home in a timely manner, go somewhere else. It's been a month after I was told 2 to 3 weeks, which at the time felt like an eternity. I called this past Sunday as it was going on 4 and was told I would hear from someone that Tuesday or Wednesday. It's now Friday and I was just told it will be another week. I can't even begin to explain how upset and angry I am. Losing my boy was a shock and devastated me. I just want him home. 4-6 weeks to get your babies back? Unacceptable. Never again.

I offered to come pick up his ashes, as my vet said they are short staffed, do not have enough people to pickup and drop back off. I received a call from a lady named Wendy. She said if I wanted to pay $100 more, they would place his cremation as "priority" and I could pick up ashes the same day I pay, that he was in their "queue" and it would be another week or so. I think that is a horrible policy - the fact that they are trying to make more money off of people who are grieving a lost family member truly is disturbing and disgusting. If they are short staffed, then they need to hire more people. They should be ashamed - people are grieving and you are attempting to prey on their sadness for monetary gain. I wish I could give you 0 stars.

The funeral home was in charge of the funeral service and cremation. A horrific list of items was either not done or done incorrectly. 1. The viewing started late because the staff had not set up the room in time. 2. We had asked to have my mom's hair braided. They failed to braid her hair. My daughter had to do it. 3. The tribute video playing when loved ones entered the room to see her was a tribute video of someone other than my mother. They had to hurriedly switch it out. 4. We were told we could stream music over Bluetooth speakers. When we were ready to play her favorite songs we were informed they didn't have a Bluetooth speaker that day. We were forced to have a family member retrieve one. 5. We requested several locks of hair to be preserved because she was being cremated. This was not done before her cremation. They are lost forever. 6. We requested finger nail clippings be kept in order to preserve her DNA. This was not done before her cremation. Her DNA is lost forever. I do not recommend this funeral service for anyone. Their prices are low, but there's a reason for it. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and go someplace else. At this point, I don't even trust that the ashes I received are those of my mother. That doubt will be stuck with me for the rest of my life. It's not worth the couple of thousand dollars we saved.

At drop off on Thursday, I was told that my sweet boy would be cremated that day and that the engraver was off thru Friday so it would be the first of the week before I could pick up Toto in his urn. Monday came and went, as did Tuesday and Wednesday morning. I called on Wednesday afternoon/Thursday morning and was told that Toto was ready, they were just waiting on the engraving and that someone would be in touch in a day or two. Friday, Saturday and Sunday passed. On Monday afternoon I reached back out and again was told that Toto was ready but that the engraving was not and that it would be a day or two and someone would call. At that point i was in tears, i explained the the lack of communication about a deceased loved one was inexcusable. Roughly an hour later i got a call saying he was ready for pickup. Caleb called about an hour after that to make sure someone had called me. My husband went to bring our sweet baby back home. Lack of communication...the fact that i did not receive an apology either from the gal in the office or Caleb, and neither did my husband...all of this things compel me to leave this crappy review. I will def be going back to Schoedinger should the need arise again to cremate a furry family member. They may be more expensive but I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion when we lost a pet a couple of years ago. Woodyard...SHAME ON YOU!!

I would first like to state in completing this review it is our hope that, Mr. Lee and staff…read morereceive these comments as constructive criticism and feedback in effort's to improve their quality of care for the next family in need of their vital services. Sometimes we get caught up in the repetitiveness of our profession that we lose site that the customer is still that, the CUSTOMER. At a time of grieving and sorrow my family sought out the professionalism, comfort, consideration and respect from Wayne T. Lee Funeral Services. Instead we received; inconsideration, lack of empathy and respect. Over time it became increasingly clear that Mr. Lee was more interested in the "financial gain" versus providing the services one would expect from an experienced provider when dealing with the loss of a loved one. We agreed and paid for a certain level of service only to experience inconsistency and unprofessionalism. The service was to include; airing a tribute slide show (for which family members spent hours securing photographs and arranging music), delivering experienced clergy as well as ensuring an obituary to be available for public view at least one day prior to the funeral. Needless to say none of the above listed services were provided. To date there have been no apologies from Mr. Lee nor did the organization offer any compensation for the lack of service delivery. Throughout the process, it became apparent to our family that Mr. Lee was somewhat overwhelmed and lacked the appropriate staffing to adhere to the high standards that this organization bases it's reputation on. That being said, I hope that there will be serious reflection from Mr. Lee and a conscious effort to either live up to the standards of this long standing community-based organization or opt for a different profession.
