Hill funeral home handled my moms funeral - my family and I were left feeling horrible. Her funeral…read morewas held September 6th 2024. The obituary when posted on Facebook had a middle initial In my moms name. I called to let them know my mom doesn't have a middle initial. No problem they made the correction and reposted. However on the day of the funeral they printed the obituary cards with the middle initial. For my mom I brought in her dress - makeup - diamond earrings and a cross ring she loved to wear. When I walked up to the casket I see no earrings or ring! They forgot to put them on her! Also my mom wore her hair in a long braid and I sent a picture. Very simple long braid with a black rubber band. What they did was put in a blue rubber band laying against a black dress with a silver Barrett with some of the silver worn off in her hair. Looks like they found it on the floor and decided to put it in her hair. The picture I sent was simple braid with black rubber band. Then we were given the name of a pastor that they provide. He was to call me a few days before the funeral so I could share information about my mom. Well he never called. So I called Hill to let them know he hadn't reached out. They said I could meet with him a little before the visitation. I wasn't happy about that but what choice did I have. I meet with him and try to give him some information about our mom and family. He talked about the death of his father and how it affected his family. He literally only said my moms name once the rest of the sermon he referred to her as lady! Her boyfriends name is PJ and he referred to him has TJ!! All of this was so overwhelming. We had also given a video to be shown at the end of the service. When it was played the volume was so low no one could hear it!! Then at the burial site we were to be given the sign in book and the video back. They forgot to do that as well it was left in the hurst the entire weekend. Our family cannot have a do~over!! All Hill could do was apologize and for me and my family that isn't enough. This is your family business how can you literally do everything wrong! I wanted my moms funeral to be about love for her and how much she will be missed. Because of Hills lack of concern or care we were left feeling that we let her down and she wasn't honored they way she should have been.

They offer prepaid services as one of their offerings…read more I can't say how they are to do business with but I can say I've been here for visiting hours and memorial services. There haven't been any technical difficulties with the music or power point presentations. The staff are unobtrusive but when it comes time to get the service rolling they are moving things along so everything happens in a timely fashion.

It would've been 5 stars, (I wanted to do 4.5 actually) but I'll get to that- just wanted to say…read morefirst of all the service for my husband's grandfather yesterday was exceptional. Andrew, our officiant, took the time to make sure he understood who my husband's grandfather was as a person by hearing personal stories and meeting everyone he could. I thought that was great. The services at the chapel and gravesite were excellent and a perfect mix of poignant yet concise. My only negative was after we returned from the gravesite to collect the items that had been set up for viewing during the service. It apparently wasn't discussed prior and we had no idea where things were- my brother in law went to check where the service had been and one of the employees kinda snapped "don't go in there!" Well... we had no idea where to look. Finally we were directed to where everything had been set up in bags for us, which was nice. But being the end of our day, the little snappiness and how unclear this had been kinda left a bad taste. So, just maybe something for them to remember in the future, remind the family where they can pick up the belongings when they return. :) Otherwise, I am very grateful for all the work these people do and how attentive they were to our needs. Thank you all!

Death of a dear loved one is difficult but the folks at Schoedinger make it as painless and easy as possible. The funeral directors Carl, Tim and Jill were all a pleasure to work with. Gentle caring kind compassionate. And my mother looked beautiful. All my requests were carried out seamlessly. We had a funeral service during the covid pandemic and Schoedinger provides a live webcast of the funeral service for those who are unable to attend. They also upload the service to her tribute page so it can be watched at a different time. We needed to have my mom buried in another state and once again that also was taken care of seamlessly. Thank you Carl, Tim and Jill for making a very difficult as painless and pleasant as possible.

He made a very painful and overwhelming time so much easier and was always readily accessible for our questions and concerns. I cannot say enough good things about Todd and Schoedinger Worthington.

Friendly staff, clear & simple pricing, beautiful grounds…read more Buying plots for my family never crossed my mind until recently when we lost a child. Having to find a funeral home and a cemetery in such a short amount of time is not easy to do. We thought getting a plot would be a simple thing to do but found that cemeteries are very busy and you need an appointment. We visited a few cemeteries in the area and were disappointed by the lack of customer service and outrageous prices. We had heard that one didn't need to be Catholic to be buried here, and after stopping in for a visit we found that this was accurate information. The only stipulation that they had was that a religious symbol needs to be on the marker or headstone. For example praying hands, angels, etc. We loved the transparent price sheet. It was a few pages long, covered everything and even included a check sheet on what you need to do after a loved one has passed away. The prices here were about a quarter of the cost compared to other cemeteries near by. The staff was compassionate, caring, and very kind. We were given a run down of prices, lots available and shown options for markers and headstones. We were also chauffeured around the property. They made the process so simple and easy. They even offered us a payment plan so we didn't have to pay for everything all at once. The cemetery is beautiful. There are lots of trees and flowers. The main office was just built a few years ago and is very nice. We were told that there is enough land to last them for 100 years and this is the fastest growing cemetery in Columbus. We were impressed on every aspect of our visit here. I would highly recommend this place because of the affordable prices, customer service and the beautiful grounds.
