Nemo tile should be ashamed of themselves. I canceled an order before it shipped and it took them 9 months to issue a refund. I spoke directly to the President of the company about the problem, sent multiple emails to the CEO which were not acknowledged or responded to and made numerous phone calls the corporate office ( mostly unreturned) and paid personal visits to the local store location attempting to get the refund. Finally, I received the refund, but not a single word of apology for the amount of time it took nor for the frustration they put me through. If I could give them NEGATIVE STARS I would! Laura at Nemo Tile in Hicksville is amazing. I had a leak in my bathroom shower and I had to match up tile that was done 27 years ago. Laura helped me with everything and my shower looks better than before. I went to 6 tile places and no one was helpful and then i stumbled on to Nemo Tile and they are amazing. Laura answered all of my questions, very responsive, creative and extremely nice and great to work with. I had a question regarding the grout and i called Nemo Tile and spoke to Martin and he was amazing too. Helped me with all of my questions. All of the tile came in perfectly... I am soooo happy. Jenine Herrera at Nemo Tile Co was amazing. I went to two other tile stores and I left them more confused and less confident about what to get and what i was getting for my money. Jenine could not have been more helpful, patient and knowledgeable than I'd have expected. She walked us through every step and explained everything so we were confident with our purchase. She was also very pleasing to work with, the type of person you just know you can trust. Lastly, thenprices at Nemo were cheaper than the other 2 places we looked at, by a lot. The other staff was great too, with help getting my tile to the car and just such a pleasant atmosphere. 5 stars for Jenine and 5 stars for Nemo Tile Co. Esperanza At Nemo Tile in Hicksville is amazing to work with. We are working on a major kitchen remodel and Nemo came recommended by my in-laws who remodeled their bathroom with Esperanza, which came out gorgeous. From the second we met Esperanza she was personal and professional. She really understands design and after seeing the work she's done, it shows, just beautiful. I have seen multiple backsplash tile from different stores and ended up choosing the first tile Esperanza showed me :-) figures, and she just has the eye. I have visited many tile stores in nassau county and nothing compares to the customer service experience with Esperanza. It is a pleasure to work with someone that is so creative, warm and friendly. We went for tiles Saturday in the midle of a snow storm. Pulled up around 3pm to see the store open. As we were parking it appeared the young lady at the desk was getting up to greet us at the door. It was then she started to motion across her neck with her hand shaking her head no as she raced to the door and locked it. Today (Monday) I past Nemo again as we just came from Porcelanosa tile a few blocks away. See after we had the door locked on us we went there. They opened the door for us and we were able to purchase all our tiles from there. They will be delivered Wednesday. I guess this story has a happy ending :) read more

Went to Nemo today (in the snow) at 2:50 pm. As we pulled up the saleswoman INSIDE motioned to us that they were closed. She then proceeded to get up from behind her desk and lock the showroom door right in front of us! We will NOT be returning! If that is how they treat their potential customers, I can only imagine how they treat their customers. read more

Do not get tile from this place. My contractor sent me here and the sales person - Esperanza Higgens (the only one that seems to work there ) was beyond rude. She was too busy to help me. I found what I needed and she told me she would write up the order later. She gave me a sample of the tile I chose and ordered it wrong! Because of her mistake my contractors were unable to lay the floor when they were supposed to and delayed the job. Mistakes happen and I get that, but she actually tried to tell me it was what I said I wanted.. nope.. and she refused to do anything about it for a week. After calling my credit card company and going back into the store she had the right tile sent. I was livid. I have never been treated like this lady had treated me. Horrible customer service. I plan on also calling their corporate headquarters so they know the kind of people that have working for them. read more
