Everyone is consistently professional, kind, and welcoming, and the quality of care is excellent. Over the years, I've completed Invisalign and had my wisdom teeth removed through their office. When Dr. Devani discovered that one of my teeth had a dead nerve, he referred me to an excellent endodontist for a root canal. The procedure and recovery went smoothly, and Dr. Devani continued helping me afterward with the appearance of the tooth. Michelle has often been my dental hygienist, and she is wonderful. The estimated cost was approximately $6,000, of which I would have to pay an additional $1,200 out of pocket, with the remaining balance covered by my insurance. I told her, "I would like some time to think about it and may consider getting the crowns later. For now, I would like to have my teeth cleaned as scheduled." At that point, Ms. Yang went outside to discuss my decision with the dentist, Dr. Brian Nguyen, regarding my intention to postpone the crown procedures. When she returned, she told me that I would need to reschedule my cleaning appointment for another day. I asked, "I made this appointment for a routine examination and deep cleaning. If you cannot provide the service, why did you schedule me to come to your office in the first place?" Ms. Yang then told me that there was no hygienist available at the office and that they could not perform the cleaning. I found this explanation unconvincing and felt that I was not being treated honestly. I had scheduled my appointment with Dr. Brian Nguyen, and the situation arose only after I declined to proceed with the expensive crown treatments immediately. My experience left me with the impression that this dental office prioritizes expensive procedures over the services patients actually request. I felt that I was being pressured to accept costly treatment, and when I chose to postpone it, the office refused to provide the cleaning service I had originally scheduled. I strongly urge anyone considering this dental office to be cautious. I tried to look into other options for cashpay, and came to Dr. Kang's clinic at the recommendation of a family friend. The cost of my extraction + bone graft + implant was $1K less than what I had been quoted at my regular dentist (which was quoted with my current insurance applied). Not only was the care affordable, the clinic was incredibly accommodating. I needed quick emergency extraction, and the office manager Lydia was kind to walk me through the expenses and book me an appointment only 2 days later. The entire process of getting checked in, taking xrays, and consulting with the doctor instilled a lot of confidence in the quality of care I was going to receive even though it was my first time there. The staff is very courteous, and Dr. Kang really takes time with his patients to answer any questions. I think the clinic accepts most PPOs, but if you're in a situation without dental insurance, definitely call and ask for a quote and consultation. They really took great care of me! But feel it's absolutely necessary…read more My husband and I have been going to this office since 2009 since we lived nearby and when Dr Kanemaki was the primary physician. We always appreciated the staff and Dr K and when we moved an hour away from the office in 2016, we still made the drive for all our dental needs. When Dr K sadly passed away, we stayed with the practice as the staff was still wonderful and it was still everyone we recognized. Until the past 6 months..... Everything has just disintegrated. The staff is completely new, not welcoming and billing has been an absolute nightmare. My husband had some major work done and was billed $500 on the spot the day of his visit. First red flag as this was never the case before in all the previous years. A few days later we received another bill in the mail for ANOTHER $900!!!!! WHAT? Looking at both bills, it seemed they added more miniscule items - $200 for "dressing the tooth"? You mean for putting gauze where it was bleeding?? On top of that, we kept on getting reminded every few days by email that this $900 bill was owed. Needless to say we did not pay the bill immediately without enquiry. Coincidentally when I received a reminder call about my own upcoming appointment a couple of weeks after receiving the bill, i immediately asked about it and asked why we were billed another $900 on top of the $500 we already paid.... And was told "oh yeah... That was before we billed your insurance.... You only owe $68.90..... that bill was sent the beginning of the month and insurance paid out a few days later....want to settle that now?" Okay hold up.... Why would you bill me BEFORE billing insurance AND keep reminding me about it. And THEN NOT follow up with the corrected due amount? It wasn't until I actually asked about it did you actually change the bill AND THEN provideD the revised amount. What if I had gone ahead and paid the $900? Would you have provided a refund? And how convenient that after actually asking about it did you actually provide a new revised bill.....10 minutes after our conversation. After this fiasco, we have lost complete trust in the office. In allllllllll the years prior we NEVER had any billing issues. And now these shinanigans. Come here only if you want to feel like you're being swindled. We will be moving to a new practice. Im sorry Dr K.
