I had the most horrible experience two years ago, when I came to Caldwell Dental. Not only did they mess up my teeth by unnecessary procedures and a deep root cleaning, which left my teeth and mouth sore for months: I was also overcharged for these procedures that Office Manager Leslie never checked with my Insurance Carrier for. Thank goodness, my Dental Insurance Carrier caught these huge mistakes. Leslie never apologized and I would urge people to check with their Insurance, before signing anything with Caldwell Dental and I'm just happy to be with a reputable and honest Dentist. One last food for thought comment... It's against the law, for a company to reward a Patient a In n Out certificate, or a Starbucks certificate in exchange for a good review, where there are signs all over the office. read more

They have a very bad service. I took and appointment and gave them all my insurance information on the call and told them specifically to confirm they take my insurance which is a PPO. THEY CONFIRMED THEY TAKE IT ON THE CALL. When I went for my appointment, they said that the cleaning services that every insurance has covered was to be paid in full before the cleaning. And then they will bill my insurance and refund me. This office is a scam. read more

I just had my cleaning appointment at Caldwell dental. My dental hygienist was Vick and I tell you, probably the best cleaning I have ever had. He took his time and did a very thorough job. Told me what we will look for at my next appointment. He didn't want to jump to any conclusions until he saw how I reacted to this cleaning. Then I had the pleasure of seeing Dr Charles. I reminded him we met when I brought in my great grandson in for a cleaning. He immediately remembered me. Such a nice doctor and very thorough as well. Then I met kimberly in the front office as I was checking out and she as well was very kind and helpful. When I first came in for my appointment I did not get the young lady's name and she was just as kind and helpful. My appointment was right on time. The entire experience was very good. I would avoid this dental office like the plague. I was recommended to this place, and I wish I never went here. They said I needed four fillings as well as a root canal. They tried to up sell me like a used car salesmen. I went to another dental office and they said I didn't need a root canal just to replace an old filling with a new one. My new dentist explained to me I have a clean mouth and even wondered if I needed a deep cleaning. The hygienist at Caldwell Dental was this super young lady that told me I needed a deep cleaning. The hygienist as well as the two dentist work together to gouge as much money out of pocket as they can from patients even with dental insurance. A breath of fresh air and a brand new start. It was a pleasant surprise to have come in and found out that Caldwell Dental had changed ownership. I had come in during the previous week and had one of the former owners do a cavity but was coming in for a cleaning. Mr. Vic did a wonderful job and made me feel at ease as I have dentist phobia of being in that chair. Then Dr. Charles Kim came in for my exam and he was super humble and introduced himself as one of the new owners. He grew up locally to the area and I believe went to Cypress High School. Its nice to see him come back to the neighborhood and want to help the people in the community. I know there has been some bad reviews with the previous owners. The best advice I can give you is STAY AWAY!!!! They do everything they can to convince you that you need unnecessary services and work done. They tried to con me into $3,500 worth of dental work but I (fortunately) went to another dentist (very close by) and had everything I actually needed done for a total of $920. Don't trust these new owners, they are NOTHING like the previous owners (the Caldwell's), they crooks are only out to rip people off with poor quality service and unnecessary things. Kara, my dental hygienist, called me back right on time. Her exam room was professional & clean. Kara was awesome ! Sorry to say that I am not pleased with the services. I was a customer with previous owners with remarkable experience but recently very disappointed that the company has changed hands. Went in for pain from a certain area, crown placed and pain worse. Obviously not placed properly and I was never told what tooth or where the pain came from. I drive 81 miles during the week and no one could accommodate me after hours or weekend after I explained several times. I finally asked for my X-rays so that to get a second opinion. Someone named Dr Mina called to remedy the situation but never got called from the brother or sister dentist each that saw me for tooth pain and neither could tell me exact why I had experienced pain initially. Additionally on my initial visit with the brother and in the chair for 2 hours or more and not once offered a blanket or asked if I was okay which is a basic human question to ask a patient. So sad that a stellar dental office has changed hands. read more
