While I'm not the type that normally frequents Salons, but just per my observation, Jammie is really great with what she does; she knows her stuff.   She is even more fantastic with kids. She was very patient with my daughter. My daughter really liked her a lot to the point that when it was time for her to get her hair cut again, Jammie would be the first person she wants to go to.   You can find Jammie at Foiled Rotten Salon off Baymeadows Road, in Jacksonville. I highly recommend Jammie. She is definitely a "cut" above the rest =)   And for those curious minded, Jammie does not do my hair. I wash my hair with fresh berries, citrus and Aloe imported from Italy (that sounds good)...so my hair would be too delicate for Jammie's handling. I go to an institution called Great Clips. I first reached out to Foiled Rotten Salon through Yelp messenger. I've had a difficult time…read moregetting the top portion of my heads natural curl back after box color hair damage. For the last 6 months I tried different home remedies and nothing was working. My hair was dry and curl at the top was just not doing anything. That's when I decided to look on Yelp and see what others have been saying about local salons. This brought me here to FRS, Veronica the owner was very responsive through Yelp messaging and suggested glossing with some curl treatments. After reading the existing reviews I decided to give it a try. Veronica had an opening for today with a stylist that I remember reading good reviews on. An hour later I met with Sandy. She took the time to ask me about my hair and evaluate my needs and my hairs needs. After protein treatments and drying I am happy to report I have some curl revived. I don't expect to leave with my healthy curly hair but I left with hair that I believe is the beginning stages of restoration and rejuvenation. I decided to buy the product line they used to continue the curl treatments. After about a month of use I will be sure to provide another update as to the results. Thank you Sandy for a really great experience. Sometimes we overthink going to new places and trusting new people but you made this experience an enjoyable one and I will be back soon.

I have followed her from the previous salon because she's someone who really masters her craft. She listens to what I want but always has a helpful suggestion that I always end up grateful for. With someone as indecisive as myself she makes it easy to achieve the look and feel I want but cannot always express so simply. Whether I'm in for a simple trim or a complete transformation including length and color, she makes sure I leave happy and with increased knowledge as to what products she recommends and how to style and keep my locks healthy and looking fabulous. It's always been a challenge to maintain my hair as it's so easy to whip out the old faithful bun routine, but with her help I now love getting into her chair and have had fun experimenting with different hairstyles and techniques utilizing her guidance and expertise. I've recommended her to my friends and family, and those who have taken my word left the salon more than satisfied with the results. As long as Ashley remains in Jax, I shall be her faithful client! Thank you Ash for teaching me that hair care doesn't have to be daunting and stressful and for making every visit not only a fun one full of laughs but also a learning experience!! I will be sure to continue recommending you specifically to anyone looking for a hair stylist. As for the salon itself, the staff is friendly and helpful and the coffee they serve definitely gets me through those morning appointments I definitely appreciate. From what I have seen, there's talent in the salon with varying styles and techniques but the outcomes make for happy comfortable clients.

Just something to keep in mind: if your appointment goes over 30 minutes, there is an additional $15 charge. Overall, I was very happy with the results and thought the service was both affordable and professional. **Warning.. long review**…read more So I moved to Jacksonville from miami 2 years ago which is where my hair fairy (yes I call her that) resides. Needless to say. It's been tough finding someone to do my hair that compares to her and needing to go to miami for that just isn't working. During the 2 years I did let this other hairdresser cut and dye my hair and it stopped growing. So you can say I'm skeptical and have a HUGE guard up. I've been feeling so ugly and hating my hair. So much that on day I went (Saturday 5/7/22) it wasn't planned at all. I stumbled upon this place while running errands and walked in to ask for their prices and to see if they would take a walk-in. They told me to call back at 445pm to see if they could. I waited till the time, called and to my surprise they could take me! I was so happy and felt it was meant to be. Mind you, they had no reviews on Yelp but for some reason I was willing to try them out. I was taken care of by Perjana. Very nice Bulgarian lady. I explained my needs, wants and pain points. And I even showed a video of the style I wanted. My hair was a HOT MESS with no shape to it. I was a bit embarrassed when I took it out the bun. When I tell you that she DELIVERED! She completely understood the assignment and even taught me how to style/ blow dry my hair so I can continue to make it look as if I came out of the salon. She even made sure to keep my length. You know sometimes hairdressers just wanna chop your hair off. I felt so pretty by the time I left there. What a difference hair makes and what a difference when someone does what they love. You can totally tell. She told me she usually only takes people by appt so I was definitely blessed when she opted to take me. So make sure you call to book your appointment. The best part of all this also. Everyone who has seen me since has loved my haircut . I've gotten so many compliments it's insane. I guess you can say I found my Jacksonville hair fairy ‍. Yay. Thank you again Perjana. You rock!

My hair was just trimming up my ends cause I spent a lot of time in the pool and half of my head had a haircut and the other half was all one length so she layered one side of my head so that was fun to find out because usually I wear it curly so I don't notice it......
