Nelson and his team came out and assessed our house, helped us come up with a great solution to fix a part of the facing of our house that was damaged, and gave us a quote that was extremely reasonable. They told us they would be back tomorrow and they completely repainted the front of the house the very next day! The quality was exceptional and he was so friendly. We have more projects ahead and we will absolutely work with him again! read more

Terrible experience, DO NOT GO WITH THEM. Very poor work, no professionalism, always late, very messy and dirty.

As a real estate broker, I referred Nelson to our buyer for an interior paint job for a beautiful home in Curtis Park after closing. Client now has to hire another painter to clean up his messy work: didn't remove the cover plates; didn't paint ceilings; didn't tape off properly; dropped paint on his original hardwood floors; overall patchy paint job. Just a terrible paint job. Not sure if he did the work or subbed it out as my client was out of town, hoping to come back home to move in. Nelson he took advantage of our client with this shoddy paint job than had the audacity to ask for more money. He's already over paid for what he's done. Definitely will not recommend him again to anyone. read more

Last year, I hired Nelson Casco to paint the front of my house and to texture and paint the living room ceiling. Initially Nelson was quick to respond and had the lowest bid and was able to start right away. We agreed upon pricing and timeline. Then it went downhill from there. His team finished the exterior paint job. The two gentlemen did a great job, they were precise and very tidy. They laid down drop clothes and plastic drapes all around the work area even over the landscaping. But the paint that Nelson matched was not the right match. He even called me to tell me he needed more paint. It was an odd conversation because the same footage of the job didn't change. Nevertheless he bought more paint and I didn't pay for it. But wait for it... He then proceeded to miss the date for the interior living room. Oh buggers. This caused a negative domino effect with my other vendors. Keep in mind I was on a timed scheduled with a house renovation. Nelson knew this, that's why we agreed upon the schedule and dates. He not only missed the appointment but he responded a few days later. His said he forgot. So I reschedule and he shows up to do the work himself. Even though the house is empty, he didn't lay down a drop cloth. He stretched his work days out more than what was quoted because he has other jobs. Now I'm well over a week behind schedule for the paint work. Hustling now to reschedule with 3 other contractors. His team did great work on the exterior paint. But Nelson failed me by not being reliable and keeping his commitments to the entire job. It cost me a huge time delay and more money at the end by delaying my other contractors. If you decide to hire him, I suggest hiring him for simpler jobs not requiring a stringent schedule AND do not pay beyond the deposit until the entire job is completed. read more

I hate that I have to update my glowing review. When I hired Nelson, I told him not to low ball me because I wanted the job down right and I didn't want to take advantage of him. I told him that I would need touch up paint for the house and trim colors. He did not provide either. When I pointed out the down spout and cracking, he said he'd fix it for several weeks -- promising "tomorrow" at least three times. He never showed up. He insisted that I would need to give him more money to buy more paint. An average job at an average price. read more

Nelson was quick to reply back and gave us a quote to paint. Nelson was for sure the cheapest compared to the other quotes we received. We found out sooner rather than later that you get what you paid for. The only good thing that came out of this was the price the rest went down hill. He started right away and on time the first couple of days then he started showing up later and later and sometimes never showed up. He didn't even text or call us that he wont show up. During a two week span he would work maybe 3 times and a total of 8 hours and ask for more money even though we recently paid him. He would always be on the phone talking while working but when we text or call to ask if he's coming to paint to reply till the next day. It is obviously that he is doing other jobs while he is doing ours. Expect him to talk way longer than you though to complete the job. Cause apparently he as all the time in the world and then rushed it in the end. Majority of the time he will send his cousins to paint who seem to have no experience painting like himself. If I would to sum up his painting it would be like if I would have painted but worst and that says a lot. If I don't wear my glasses it looks fine but when I put them back on oh no! The are so many faults, like areas he missed, paint brush streaks, no clean lines and overall sloppy. As a painter how can you ignore this? Even our cleaner was frustrated at him with paint on the floors. We asked him to give us the receipts for cost of materials in which he did but also gave us a receipt was was not our materials and had other items added to ours like a soda or snacks. We let the snacks slide since his quote was low. For the next materials check he never gave us the receipts also he would lose track of how much we paid him. Thank goodness we kept track. Many times he would say he needed more money for materials so we gave hime more money but the next time he showed up no materials in his hands. So where did our materials go? All in all don't hire him. He also has another Yelp account under N&D Painting. Save you sanity and give a good pass on this person. He is the most unprofessional painter or (businessman if you call him that) we've ever met! read more

Nelson and his crew did an amazing job with our exterior paint project. Nelson was very responsive and his crew were prompt and thorough. They cleaned up as they went and paid close attention to detail. We're very happy with the results! Fair prices and great work. I would highly recommend them. read more

Nelson did a great job re-painting our concrete front porch! It was originally a faded red color, with lots of cracks and peeling paint. He was quick to respond to my request for a quote, and was able to come within the same week to do our job when other painting companies were booked out for months. I felt the price was very fairly quoted for the work he did for us. His communication was very prompt, and he was very efficient with his work. We definitely recommend him and would hire him again for other jobs in the future! read more

Beware, company posts on Yelp under multiple names. Having to take them to small claims court. Been chasing him for 8 weeks to make it right and he offered to refund a portion and never did. Did a stain/paint job to my oak stairs. Applied the stain incorrectly, didn't lacquer steps, paint bleed everywhere, and spent 50%+ time on his cellphone. Had multiple quotes for $1000-2000 more to resolve the issues and redo the work. Honestly, never showed up on time, always said he was coming and never showed up. Don't use unless you want to have subpar results and redo the work. Seriously has been a terrible experience. read more

I hired Nelson based on the reviews others have shared and I was not disappointed. He is a very gracious person to work with. He was true to his quote and when there was a hiccup, based on my own misunderstanding, Nelson fixed the problem himself. He had a crew of 2 here for 2 plus days and they were both friendly and worked hard. His price is extremely competitive and his customer service outstanding. I would absolutely hire Nelson again and highly recommend him. Oh, I should also mention that I left my house in his care while I went out of town for a day and all was well. It nice to find trustworthy people to work with. read more

My husband and I were so impressed with the kind and prompt service they provided. They were able to come out next day after we requested an estimate and even start the project the following day. We were in a bit of a time crunch so this flexibility was really appreciated. Able to complete the painting of our living/dining space as well as our staircase and landing in one day. We were not able to be there to let them in but we did check in during the day and were so impressed with how far they got and the work that was completed. Such a nice and trustworthy team that I highly recommend. Great painting work, great price and such a nice experience! read more

Nelson and the crew did a fantastic job painting the entire inside of our 2 bedroom unit in North Sacramento in one day. The quality was great. They did a great job on the floor boards and patched all the holes. They also did a great job with clean up. He respects the property and will take care of your painting needs. He was very fast in responding for a quotation and was able to work with our schedule. I highly recommend his services. I know I will be calling him in the future. read more

10 STARS to Nelson Casco! My husband and I hired Nelson to paint our living room/dining room/kitchen. We also had him remove the popcorn from a large ceiling and resurface it. This was a two day job for Nelson and he had 1-2 assistants. All of the men were highly skilled painters with great attention to detail. They were professional and hard working. The price was very reasonable and fair. They exceeded our expectations with workmanship and details. They painted baseboards in areas we did not expect and painted an extra ceiling and CD case in order to make the whole area visually appealing. We will hire Nelson for all of our projects in the future , and will refer him to our friends!! He is also very very nice and a great sense of humor. He will not be done until you are satisfied! read more

Got the opportunity to work with Nelson and his team. Initially, I requested a quote on yelp for our exterior painting. Got 4 response and Nelson was the first one to respond, I scheduled the estimate in 2 days and eventually decided to go with Nelson as he had the cheapest quote as well. He immediately started the next day and got done with the work in 2 days. We are definitely satisfied with the service provided. Highly recommend. Great quality work. Honest and reliabl.

I had a horrible experience with this painter. Don't pay this guy anything upfront because you won't be happy with his work. He also starts the project and cancels a lot. One of the days he sent only one worker and he didn't show up as he promised he would. We ended up canceling the project, but of coarse he's trying to keep the money we paid upfront. Upon sending out yelp estimate requests to 4 local painters, Nelson was the first to be able to come for an estimate AND he said he could start work the next day to have everything painted in 1 day in time for the 4th of July. We had some miscommunication initially that resulted in him and his crew going back to apply additional coats (basically they wound up painting twice). Despite the additional work, they were still able to complete the work in 1 day. He was happy to do what it took to make me happy with the finished product, which I am. I'll definitely use him again and refer him to other people I know! read more

Be careful, if you planning to hire him. Make sure all details write on the qoute, he asked me for extra money and said that's not included on my quote in the middle of the job. And left the the trash behind and requested removel fee because that's not included when he completed the job. The did a Mickey mouse job. He is not a honest and reliable business person, never recommend. read more

Nelson Casco and crew did a good job painting the new doors and baseboards throughout our house. He was personable, always communicative and open to questions and suggestions. His prices are reasonable when comparing them to other painters, and we are quite satisfied with his work. read more

Contacted Nelson on short notice and he delivered!!! Fast easy and reliable !!! Would recommend to anybody in need of a good painter!

We contracted with Nelson for a fence job that involved four separate neighbors with varying requirements. The job was completed in one day without any major concerns or issues. After the job was started, I requested that a wrought iron fence be repainted as well. Nelson agreed and without delay tackled the project. There was one error in that two side gates were painted (and painted well) when they were supposed to have remained untouched. As requested, Nelson returned to repaint the gates, providing supplies and labor at no extra cost. The house looks great, the neighbors are all happy, and I highly recommend this company. read more

Nelson did a great job painting our kitchen and entry way! He also helped us paint match our walls! We are grateful for the job he did, we were quoted by another painting company for a lot more money. We had two walls that had wall paper on it and there was damage from the wall paper being removed. Nelson was able to repair it for us as well. He told us our options with the second wall, that there was a risk that the wall could become damaged again and could cost more money. He went over our options with us and we were able to find a solution. I can tell he is a hard worker and takes pride in what he does. We will definitely hire him again when we need another paint job done! Thank you Nelson! read more

I was optimistic when Nelson responded within the hour to my online request for an estimate to paint the exterior of my house. I provided him my phone number, then heard nothing for a week. I reached out again and we agreed on a time for him to come out for an estimate. And, of course, he never showed up. No call, no text, nothing. I really don't get. I mean, it's not like it was a small job that wouldn't be worth the time. Well, his loss. read more

I highly recommend N Casco Painting! We had a very tight deadline and schedule to get our home ready to sell. Our original painter we had scheduled cancelled, so we were very fortunate that Mr. Casco and team had availability. Upon scheduling there was a delay in obtaining the paint we requested. In order for us to keep our schedule, Mr. Casco and team worked late into the night in order to get everything done on time, so that we can keep all our other vendors on schedule. We greatly appreciate Mr. Casco! read more

Nelson was the first person to respond to my request for a painter. (I give points to the first person who responds to my request. My pet peeve is when I don't get a phone call at all.) I was impressed with his enthusiasm and eagerness to do the job. He explained exactly what kind of prep was needed and within a few days the job was done. He gave an estimate and if not for a last minute request from me, the original estimate never changed. I was in a bind and needed a painter because i am selling my house. Reached out to him on Monday did estimate on Tuesday and painted on Friday. I reached out to Nelson Casco on Yelp for a quote. He responded right away, met me at my property, and gave me a reasonable quote. I hired him to paint the inside of my house, walls, trim and interior doors. I also had two wooden doors that had never been painted or sealed. Nelson did a really beautiful job. The quality of workmanship was top notch. He chose a beautiful color to stain my front door, and he sealed my garage door in a clear coat; it was exactly what I had in mind. When we decided to paint our house, we reached out quite a few painters through Yelp. Nelson was by far the quickest to respond and he had the most reasonable quote. He let me know that he could come out the following morning to take a look at the work we needed done, and he began just a day after that. Within three days, he and his team pressure-washed and painted our home. They did such a great job! We appreciate Nelson's transparency and professionalism. Excellent work and a fair price. Project consisted of complete internal house paint, and exterior trim. Nelson came to the job site, and I had a couple of last minute changes to the project. Modifying project scope is always tricky, but he took them all in stride and delivered an excellent product on time.
