Punctual, reliable, cleaned up each day, worked with us and our dog's schedule. It's amazing how a fresh coat of paint makes an old house fell new again. This was a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde experience. Miguel began sounding extremely hard-working, humble and contientous, and turned into a nightmare of being gaslighted and ending up with a quick and dirty job. If you want someone to start with lowball prices and jack them up disproprtionately for any changes, these are your guys. If you want someone who promises lots of prep work, two coats everywhere and then takes all kinds of shortcuts if you're not around, these are your guys. If you want someone who blocks the neighbors driveway, is rude to the neighbors and hits their car with their vehicle, go with MAB Painting. If you're getting a rental pianted that you don't really care about quality, go with them. If you want someone who does a poor job and then gaslights you with how hard they worked (rather than whether the final product is well done), these are your guys. I see the consistent 5 star ratings here and wish I got THAT guy, but I didn't. To his credit, he did come back multiple times to address the serious issues with his original job, but there was a lot of arguing about things like whether gaps in the siding are acceptable (see pics) and what's needed to fix it. At the end of the day, I gave final payment for a job that I wasn't happy with, and that I had to get riled up about for him to address. In the meantime he tried to convince me each time he came back to make incremental fixes that a shoddy job was actually fine. Not a good job but I was ready to move on. read more

We added the job of replacing the south side gable and door threshold with an appropriate wood composite and painting the porch with epoxy to be slip resistant. He power washed, removed the chipping paint and cleaned the gutters before painting with Kelly Moore Dura Poxy, matte finish. He came right out to look at he job and let me know the quote on the spot. He also followed it up with a written quote that evening. Miguel and his team were helpful and excellent while doing a full-house interior paint job. The in-person walk through and quote was fast and they were available pretty quickly after (about a week). They worked gladly and patiently with non-ideal situations (like pausing for a plumbing issue, dealing with a weather-related blackout, and working on a bunch of plastering we didn't anticipate) and were understanding when we chose a more complicated paint or were still thinking through some color options. I contacted MAB painting based on their reviews. Miguel (owner) set up a time to inspect the house for an estimate. He arrived on time which is a pet peeve of mine. If a contractor can't show up on time, I'm not hiring them. Miguel was thorough unlike some other contractors that came out. He took his time, searched for dry rot, cracks, and caulking issues. He explained his painting process and paint products. He then advised me he would send an estimate with all the details and price. I had other contractors come out and do a quick walk through and throw a price out. Miguel was obviously much more professional. I received an estimate the following day and his quote was detailed and very competitive. Miguel started and completed the project on time. His crew was professional, clean, hard working and did a nice paint job. My only recommendation to Miguel would be to follow up with his clients a week or so later to make sure everything went well. From the beginning to the end Miguel was freindly, professional, prompt each day, he texted me each day when he was done and what time he was arriving the next day. The cost to paint our house was very reasonable. He pressure washed the entire house before painting it. He even cleaned our gutters for us, which was a job because they hadn't been cleaned for many years. Additionally he was very clean and organized putting tarps on the ground around the perimeter of the house that he tapped down. He also did a final clean up of the ground when he pulled up the tarps.
