My wife and I were looking for a painter and Jeff's name came up several times on our community Facebook page. I reached out to him and he came out and gave me an estimate. He was very pleasant and within a day I received what I thought was a very competitive bid. Jeff was very detailed in his work and within three days he painted our two-story, 2500 square-foot home. He had help for one day but for the most part, he did it all himself. He was very meticulous and very pleasant to work with. I strongly recommend Jeff and his company for your painting needs. read more

Jeff Epperson (Coles Painting) does amazing work. From initial visit to the finished walkthrough, he maintains a totally professional and likable demeanor. He goes out of his way to work with customers to accommodate their schedules. When color choices get changed, he goes with the flow and gladly changes gears to make sure you get exactly what you want. (and he does this most gracefully) We will definitely go with Jeff for all our future painting projects! read more

If you are looking for an awesome painter, look no further, Cole's Painting is it! Jeff and Hector are experts and have been in the business for years. They are a dynamic duo and work extremely efficiently together. They painted my home exterior and I am beyond pleased with how my house turned out. They pay attention to detail and their prep work is top notch. They made sure every stucco crack was sealed prior to painting and everything was covered. They are fast painters; I was anticipating the job taking at least 4-5 days and they did a superb job in no time at all. You can clearly see they have a ton of experience between the two of them. The cost was also very fair. I appreciate that Jeff (owner) comes out and does the work. He and Hector both demonstrate integrity and a strong work ethic. Great communication, reliable, outstanding work...I highly recommend Cole's Painting! read more

A++++++ Found my new paint company! Jeff and his assistant Hector are the BEST. I am really picky when it comes to contractors and Jeff delivered and exceeded expectations at every level. This team is RELIABLE, COMMUNICATIVE, REASONABLE, and EXPERT at what they do. I care about precision, efficiency, communication and reliability with contractors -- but this team is also kind, warm, and super professional. All my other quotes gave me long paint times (5-7 days) and some quoted over the phone or email without inspecting my home. Jeff took the time to come walk my property, came in with a reasonable + fair price, and was super communicative and helpful. Anytime I emailed with a question or concern I received a prompt response and Jeff runs a really efficient t operation- the majority of work was done in 1/2 the time other companies quoted! He and Hector went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I was happy with the work. I can't recommend this team enough. If you are looking for a fair, trustworthy contractor that is a pleasure to work with go with Jeff - you won't regret it. read more

They did a great job, even fixed some siding they replaced when they painted the house before that separated.

Jeff and Hector did an amazing job on our living room accent wall in early March. They both were friendly, professional, and always approachable for questions. My husband and I were having doubts on the color choice for the wall after Jeff and Hector had applied 2 coats of paint. Instead of rushing us to proceed with the same color, Jeff suggested that he could return the next day to finish painting to allow us time to decide and finalize the color. Throughout the whole process, we did not feel like Jeff and Hector were rushing through just to get the job done. They frequently kept us informed on the progress. Jeff also helped patch up other areas in the house for no additional charge and his cost for the accent wall was reasonable. On the last day, Jeff offered to come back and fix up any areas of the accent wall if needed. Although it took a few attempts to reach out to Jeff to finally set up an appointment, we were glad we had the opportunity to work with Jeff and his wonderful team. We have more upcoming projects for our house and will definitely reach out to Jeff again. read more

Jeff Epperson models customer service. He puts our satisfaction above all else. He's also the most affordable painter I can find! They did an excellent job on the exterior of our home. Competitively priced, professional and friendly!

Jeff painted the exterior of our house 10 years ago. Since then he has done many jobs for us. He has painted our home in Lake Tahoe and just recently painted the interior of our house here in Elk Grove. He has also painted my cabinets and stair banister, repaired and stained my deck in the past. We continue to come back to Jeff because he consistently does a great job with great attention to detail (with a right and left hand!) at a fair price. As long as Cole's is in business, that is who I will turn to! read more

Great job with interior house painting. Work was done efficiently and at a reasonable price. I would hire again.

Reached out to this company more than a couple times. They kept messaging me saying they'll text me or message me about scheduling and just kept ghosting me. Very unprofessional and rude. I tried to be understanding the first few times but enough is enough. Don't recommend choosing a business that is THIS unreliable. Reached out for a quote in NOVEMBER. It is now February and I have yet to hear anything. I recommend everyone to not even bother with these people. read more

Our project was painting eaves which also required some sanding due to our last roof replacement. Very satisfied with Jeff's prep and painting services. We selected Jeff because of an outstanding Yelp rating history and very reasonable pricing . We played tag a few times rescheduling the project due to intermittent rain from late October through mid January but Jeff stayed with it. . When the weather finally was good, the project was completed on time and neatly done. Jeff and Hector went the extra mile touching up any prior deficiencies and provided me with a gallon of each color. We will certainly use Cole's Painting for any future needs. read more

I hired Cole's Painting to paint the exterior of my house in August of 2023. Jeff, the owner, is a good man, he hires good people, he charges a fair price, and he and his people do a great job. I could leave it there, but I won't. Jeff uses the best materials, high quality primer, paint, and caulk, and he does not skimp on the caulk or the masking materials. Jeff deploys the best technique for each individual surface: brush, or roller, or spray. He uses the best equipment: high quality brushes, and a $3,000 sprayer instead of a $1,000 sprayer. He is very thorough with all aspects of both the preparation and the painting. And if Jeff says he will do two coats of paint, then every surface gets two coats of paint, not just the ones at eye level that the customer will see up close. Jeff makes sure the other surfaces way up high, or otherwise hard to get, are also properly painted. I have been let down by other painters on the number of coats up high on the gables, as well as the thoroughness of the caulking. After Jeff was finished, I got my ladder out and checked his work, not just the number of coats on the gables, but everything else as well, high and low. I am certain no one could have done better job than Jeff did. Jeff is highly skilled from 20 years of practice. He can cut that edge between two adjoining surfaces of different colors, and make that edge look straight, even when the surfaces are not even... and he can do this free-hand with a brush, with either his left or right hand. Jeff gets the job done in a relatively short period of time, but only because he deploys efficiently. He spends extra time where time is needed. And when all is done, he will come back promptly and fix anything if you think something does not look right. Jeff's last name is Epperson. Ask him how the company got the name, Cole's Painting. It is a cute story. read more

Jeff (owner) and Hector just finished painting the exterior of my home. I could not be happier with the results. You couldn't ask for a more friendly and professional person. Jeff is willing to give suggestions and goes beyond with samples to make sure you get the color you are looking for. From the quotes I received, Cole's was equal to and most times less than others. I know I needed some dry rot repair and Cole's does it themselves so I didn't have to find and coordinate with someone else. I'm sure Cole's will be painting the homes of my friends. read more

Jeff just finished painting the exterior of my home and replacing my side garage door. He was recommended to me by 4 different friends and I am ecstatic with the results! They're fast, efficient, detail oriented and extremely competitive in pricing. Materials used are also top quality. Give him a call, you'll be happy you did! read more

Jeff Epperson of Cole's painting, and his crew, have my first five star review in ages of anything. It is pretty rare anymore that someone goes beyond what is required to do what is excellent. Jeff is personable, attentive, responsible and reliable. He is a professional and has significant skills that I have not seen in other painters. I have tremendously high peaks on a very large custom home and interviewed many painters to see who I thought could climb a ladder up there safely. This is your man. Quality work at a very fair price. I could not think of any reason to not give a five-star review to Jeff and his team. Well done. read more

Jeff is amazing! Not only he's responsive but his work is also awesome too, we couldn't recognize it was the same kitchen after he finished. Cole's Painting just finished up painting the exterior of our home, as well as, some touch up paint on the inside...hitting some dinged up and neglected floor boards and made them look like new. Everything turned out fantastic. I couldn't be happier with the end result. The outside looks amazing and has a few of our neighbor's now wanting to get their houses painted too. The inside looks fresh and clean and like new again. They started the exterior by power washing the entire exterior of the house. They were very professional. Jeff, the owner, is super friendly and knowledgeable and his employee Zach was nice and friendly too. They did exactly what they said they would, were careful with landscaping etc. Don't hesitate. Wow, after several quotes I went with Cole's painting and I was very glad I did! We had the whole house outside painted with different colors than what we started with. Jeff, the owner, brought up good points and suggestions before we decided on the color choice. They did a great prep job before doing any painting and then did a great job with the painting itself. He even asked and made suggestions on which parts to paint the trim color. After the job was done he even came back to do any needed touchups! If you want the job done right and at a reasonable price, use these guys! read more

Jeff and Zack just finished painting the exterior of our home. Both hard working dudes, super friendly and willing to do anything that's possible. Jeff gave us a very competitive bid for the job. We had some cracking in our T1-11 siding that could use a higher build paint, Jeff was willing to use a different paint on request without a jump in the estimate. Zack came out a day early to pressure wash the house, so they could get going with masking and prep on day 1. Everything went very smoothly, we had asked for a radical color paint for our door-a color not normally used in exterior paint-Jeff made it happen and it looks great! Jeff guarantees his work and will come touch up anything you need. We enjoyed our experience with Cole's Painting so much that we got estimates to paint our kitchen cabinets and stair banister. We highly recommend Cole's Painting to anyone looking for an incredible value, and to support a local small business. read more

Jeff at Cole's painting painted our house and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Jeff is a busy guy and it took a couple months to get to our job with weather delays, but I was ok with that as I would much rather book the guy that has too much work than the guy looking for work. The paint came out great, but I was almost more impressed with the prep prior to the paint. He caulked everything!!!! I would recommend Cole's Painting to friends and family. read more
