Dr Fowler is amazing. Not only did she take her time to examine any issues I may have to fix, she also explained everything in a clear vocabulary for me to understand. She didn't recommend anything that wasn't necessary (unlike some other places) but rather focused on the important issues first. She fixed one issue I had with a tooth that NO OTHER dentist had even mentioned before. In 10 years of going to different dentists for cleaning and check ups, no one has ever told me about that specific issue. Dr Fowler saw it right away and fixed it. It literally took her 5 seconds. Recently, my associate went to Dr. Nelly Fowler for dental work and he was extremely disappointed in her dental work and her poor professionalism. When he asked her about the yellow tint that was left on his tooth after the dental work she had just performed, she became annoyed and took his questions personally. She then proceeded to lecture him for over an hour in a very unprofessional condescending tone while he was still sitting in the dental patient chair. She then announced that she was only going to clean his teeth and was not going to perform the dental work they had previously discussed. Dr Fowler also stated that I needed to go see a dental specialist to perform the dental work we had previously discussed because I was "too picky". Doctor Fowler also mentioned that my money didn't impress her, which I thought was a strange thing to say. After more then two hours of sitting and listening to Dr. Fowler lecture him my associate had enough. He proceeded to stand up to leave and that's when Dr. Fowler put her hand on his shoulder as if to keep him from leaving. This experience at Dr. Fowler's dental office was horrific and unacceptable. She refused to treat my girls because I am a first responder and was working in 2019 and 2020. This was also when the appts were scheduled. A specialist who is educated should have known that she can contract Covid 19 anywhere. Gas stations, when she is filling up to go to work, groceries stores, and the very patients she has seen. But her refusing to treat my daughters because of I do for a living. She even went on explaining on her father was an ENT specialist and so forth. This situation was Unprofessional and who knows what other excuses she gives patients not to see them or treat them. So if you are first responder I hope that after me you were taken care of including your family. For many years I used to go to a large dental office in Fullerton that seemed very corporate and highly impersonal. Every time I used to have an appointment with them I would get a different dentist and I just found that to be very inconsistent so I decided to switch over and give Dr. Nelly Fowler a try. I once had a dental emergency on my front teeth and I panicked because I thought I was going to have a huge ugly gap. I immediately called Dr. Fowler and she was really good about returning my call. She was really reassuring and was able to see me first thing in the morning. Even though what I need is going to require a lot of work and might be expensive, Dr. Fowler was still able to do at least a quick temporary solution while I try to make a long term decision and see if my insurance can even cover it.
