Twice now, it's been the wrong order delivered, having to go downstairs and wait for a new order, or once just for hamburger buns! The meat was buried in a huge pile of wet lettuce. No sorry, no dessert or comp of ruined meal. Breakfast is the only meal I can in good conscience recommend too our renters. The bar drinks are great though.

They have a cool selection of books, and a lot of gift type things like tea, stuffed animals, bookmarks, art supplies, etc. I noticed the dinner menu and decided a cheeseburger sounded good. I ordered the Basecamp cheeseburger with bacon and a side salad. You can apparently order food upstairs and then sit upstairs or downstairs (or outside, I think). They have table service as well, after 4pm. Service was very friendly and patient. I decided to eat downstairs, and there was a cozy bar and large seating area. My burger soon arrived and it was delicious! A great toasted bun and a wonderfully substantial and beefy patty. The cheese was rich and gooey. Great, yummy combination of flavors. The protal doesn't always serve the outside seatings/ patio but now that the weather is warmer, they do. I've done pretzels to wine and beer during my stays. And some brunch. Last I tried was in May,2021. They still weren't doing outdoor dining yet. Only take out or dine in if you want. But since I have my pup with me, I often do patio dining when they allow. Usually they will accommodate if they are not busy. The views are great. Usually and almost always chilly here and also super windy out. But views are great. Brunch/ breakfast is a hit and miss. But the view helps! And it's convenient and you don't have to leave the lodge. So it's good when you're staying here!

We believe that a member of our group was drugged while at this location Saturday, August 2nd. The…read moreyoung woman had not drank much and had only 2 beers while here. At one point in the evening she became very hyper and was not acting like her normal self. The next day she said that she remembers playing pool and sipping her beer, but the rest of the night a complete blank. Fortunately there was a large enough group of us and multiple sober that we got everyone home. We thought at first our friend was just joking with us, but in the morning we realized how serious it was. She vommitted multiple times that night and the next day. She has been sick ever since that night with severe headache and nausea. I am posting this not as a negative review of the establishment but I want to know if anyone out there has experienced this here. We were at the Brick before so honestly, could have happened there before we went to Markos. For everyone reading this. Please watch out for one another and stay safe.
