My friends and I love to treat ourselves to a good week of working out on Friday mornings at Nekter. Their seasonal menus are delicious (love the winter Date Smoothie with a scoop of protein) and the staff is always friendly. In the warmer months it's great to be able to grab a smoothie and sit outside. I down-rated the location slightly because if you choose to sit inside GOOD LUCK having a normal conversation. Blenders are used to make almost every menu item and these industrial blenders are LOUD. I can't believe they don't have some sort of plexi-cover for these. It's a little strange. We just grabbed two protein shakes from Nekter. It was our first time there. The employees kindly gave us recommendations and even a sample of one of their smoothies. My daughter ordered the Health Nut smoothie. It was really good and contained 30g protein. I got the Buzz smoothie it didn't taste as good but it was probably healthier. I've made Nekter runs my morning habit for weeks now. I started with the Health Nut smoothie with almond butter, then tried the turmeric shot to help fight inflammation. I was hooked, and then Noah, a friendly juice-ista (is that a word), suggested I try the ginger shot. So now my favorite mornings begin with all three. I LOVE the app, being able to order with a click and then stroll to the pickup counter, cutting the line of people still rubbing sleep from their eyes. But most of all I love the staff! They're super friendly and caring -- on a morning when I didn't make it in on time, they re-made my smoothie and had kept the shots refrigerated for me. "I knew you'd be in," she said. That's customer service! My two "complaints" -- I wish the reward system better reflected the amount purchased, and I wish I could tip the staff via the app. I never carry cash and they deserve great tips!!! I've been here a bunch of times now and it's been awesome every time! The food here is very fresh, I usually get the mango delight or the Popeyes açaí smoothie, but my favorite are the skoops (yay for healthy vegan ice cream!) The staff also seems to be pretty knowledgeable about nutrition which helps. The only bad thing is, it's hard to hear in the store because the blenders are going and sounds seem to echo in a weird way. read more

Yum! So happy to have Nekter in LKN. I tried the chocolate skoop, I added three toppings for a dollar more (blueberries, coconut flakes, and strawberries). It was very delicious. Tastes like ice cream without the guilt! I also picked up the Skinny Lemonade juice which features strawberries, raspberries, lemon, agave, and cayenne pepper. It was tangy with subtle sweetness, and a kick at the end. I absolutely recommend checking out their Charlotte and/or LKN locations. I'll be back. read more

I'm excited that Clean Juice has a new competitor! This place is so convenient to my work too. This was my first time there, and the employees were so friendly and welcoming. I got the Superfood Smoothie bowl, which really did have a little bit of everything. The toppings were all delicious and it was refreshing. I also tried some of the juice and smoothie flavors. I was impressed at the beautiful colors of each one. My favorite juice was the the buzz with carrot, lemon, ginger and orange. The orange and carrot help provide some sweetness, but you still get a little tang with the ginger. (I love ginger anything). The inside is fun and trendy. I love the wooden tables and walls. Awesome menu. Poor customer service unfortunately. I've come in to a different employee every time and everyone just acts like they don't want to be there and aren't happy to help you. I just came in and got the bowl I usually get with charcoal vanilla on top and the woman serving me rudely tried to tell me that it has never been done before and it wouldn't work. I suggest downloading the App saves time and money. A good go to for healthy options even though located ironically between a fast food sub shop and a donut store. I had ordered a cleanse for my husband scheduled to pick up on 2/6. I called to check on the status and was told that "the truck had not come in yet". I was told that I would receive a call when the order was ready. On 2/10 I had still not received a call so I contacted Nekter and was told that the order had been ready "for days". I went to pick up the order, got home, and was given the wrong cleanse. While I was in the shop I had ordered a smoothie which was leaking from the side, asked for a napkin, and was told "sorry we are out of napkins". It seems that their ordering process needs some work. read more

The Skoops are the best thing here which is made evident by the fact that they didn't have any available during my visit. This wouldn't have been a big deal had the rest of the options been half decent. During this trip, my group ordered a mango blast, açai superfood bowl and berry banana smoothie, all of which turned out severely disappointing. All of our orders had a disproportionately high amount of cashew milk which diluted the taste of the fruit to the point of near non-existence and created a very odd consistency. Smoothies made at home are much cheaper and taste a whole lot fresher! read more
