The service was amazing!!! The cashier was so warm and welcoming. We wanted to come to hangout with the kitties but, weren't able to due to everything being booked. Make sure to make a reservation if you want to go into the room with the cats. We didn't order food but, it smells delicious! We ended up trying the copa blueberry CBD which was really light. It's infused sparkling water + fruit juice and I didn't really taste the carbonation. My boyfriend liked it, but I thought it was okay. I would definitely come back and make a reservation to play with the cats! I had a reservation for a 45-minute session to see these kitties on Saturday at 10AM. I parked in the public garage by Amazon Fresh but street parking is available. There was around 8 people in our time group but the room didn't feel cramped, and I still felt like I was able to move around and hangout with the cats. Some of the cats were really active and some just wanted to chill. Staff was really nice! It was our first time here, and we were provided with the rules and information on the cats. My sister and I booked an appointment to come in to play with the kitties. All the cats were super chill and were just hanging. A good way to come in to decompress and play with some furry friends. They have resident cats that are not up for adoption but also have some new friends that are available for adoption. This is a good way for me to get my kitty fix as my husband is severely allergic and I'm not able to have my own four legged fur ball at home. If you love cats then you need to visit asap! Well first make sure to make a reservation but do come here asap! This place was absolutely adorable. I loved the decor and especially the cats. I also loved how it was LGBTQ+ friendly! I booked a 45 minute session and it was great. I was so happy I could cry. There were a lot of sleepy cats and some playful cats as well. It was a nice balance I think. I say this because you could admire the sleepy cats or even pet them if they're just feeling tired and are okay with it. If they're active then you can play with all the toys they provide. And all time favorite was this wire toy with some cardboard pieces at the end. The cats loved this one the best when I went so maybe try it out :) I should mention that before you are left alone with the cats, you'll check in and then you'll be provided with rules to follow to help keep things clean and make sure to be respectful towards the cats. I really think this cat cafe was great and I love that you could adopt a cat if you wanted to. If you get the chance, definitely come support this business! We got there to do one of our school projects and we came with Dave's Hot Chicken when we got there we asked to get a singular macaroon which was really good and then after we noticed that it's $25 per person to see the cats for 45 minutes, I don't have that kind of money. I am a teenager. there's around five cats that everybody has to look at and we got asked to leave with the food. The stuff there is also very overpriced. TL;DR - nice cafe, lots of cats, needs reservation but it's pretty easy to get the day before, food was good, super friendly staff, the only sad part was that the cats mostly ignored us :( Food - I got the cake ball and the strawberry milk. Loved the milk but the cake ball was a bit too sweet. I loved the cat shape though! Service - the two ladies there (Eliza and the other I didn't catch her name) were both super friendly and welcoming. It was easy to make conversation with them and they knew a lot about the cats and the cafe. Ambiance - it was nice and peaceful inside the cafe, and the non cat room seating area is pretty small (like 2 small tables and a long one and a small bar counter). There were plenty of cats in the room (like 8-10) but most were sleeping (I went at 8pm) and the ones that weren't kind of just ignored me. Absolutely adorable. I came here on a whim while traveling through Seattle and really enjoyed my experience. This place is genuinely a cat cafe - it has a full cafe and a room full of cats - so it's the sort of place where you can actually get good coffee (unlike some other cafes in LA and DC). The staff here are ultra-friendly, which I liked. Needless to say, the cats here are adorable. Some are understandably a bit standoffish (as they're often rescue cats), but they're all amenable to a little bit of petting and love. I ordered the All Cats Do Crime sticker from their online store, and they shipped it the same day! I did have a concern after not receiving the package within a couple of weeks, and reached out to their customer service and Leah responded to my question promptly with friendliness and cheer. She was happy to send a replacement and even provided tracking, which took an extra step from her considering the original and replacement were shipped via the Post Office. Also, Leah's correspondence was full of adorable cat puns, which brought a smile to my face. Also NEKO has a delightful Instagram account which details all their beautiful babies (and their crimes), which my wife shared with me recently and I highly recommend. There are some food and drink options as well that are great to try before, during or after visiting the cats. The appointments book up really fast. Only complaint is the website does not update faster as there were two who we were interested in adopting but were already adopted when we finally could get an appointment. Went with my girlfriend because I never been in such a cafe before. They use admission ticket money to help new cats and also, you can adopt some cats from them. I love how cool they made the place and even its a bit cramp and we had 6 people in one small room it was an interesting experience. Cats were very sleepy and calm, they didn't wanted to engage or play so much, ButI just love to be around them. I didn't wanted to bother like others sleeping cats just to play with them. This place was great! As a heads up, you do need to make a reservation for your time with the cats to ensure that the time you go has an opening. Otherwise, you're welcome to sit and in the cafe & watch the cats from outside the room. The cats do get a break between reservations. It's under street level which means there's stairs to get into the cafe. However, there's no ramp which means it's not handicap accessible. Fortunately, we only had a stroller so we had options. We ended up carrying my daughter's stroller down the steps. (We also could have folded it & carried it down that way but we didn't want her running around yet.) The staff was super friendly and the cats were a delight. They all have fun names and were very friendly. If they didn't want to be around people, they jumped up high or went into their "cats only" room. We brought our 21 month old with us and she was enamored with all the cats! They were so well- natured with her, too. Some of the cats are residents while most of them are adoptable. I didn't have any coffee or snacks, but they had adorable cat cake pops & sugar cookies for sale. They also had plastic cat ears for sale & fun t-shirts, stickers, and other merch. We decided to stop in after discovering this place while walking by and noticing the cute cats lounging in the windows. Although they had no more available same-day appointments, it was simple to make a booking on their website for the next day. This was our first visit to a cat cafe and we had a fun time. The cats are very gentle and accustomed to meeting new people. Depending on the time of day you visit, the cats can either be active or sleepy. There is a little kitty door to the back room so if the cats get tired of socializing, they're free to move into their private space. The space is a bit small though, especially for the group visits. It would be great to see the cats have more space. The staff are super sweet and happy to talk to you about any of the 'residents'. They also sell really cute merchandise. read more

One youngest cat played a bit with another visitor but others just slept through even as we petted them. I expected a more lively interaction. Went to Neko Cat Café with my dog on Jan 8th, thinking it would be a chill spot to grab a milk tea. Sadly, it wasn't. The staff told me dogs aren't allowed inside. Fair enough--until I explained my dog is a service dog and cat-friendly. That's when things took a turn for the worse. They hit me with some BS excuse about being an adoption center and said no dogs (even service dogs!) are allowed on the premises. Uh, what? Are you kidding me? Let's get one thing straight: It's illegal to deny access to a service dog. Businesses can't just decide to ignore federal law because it's inconvenient for them. But instead of acknowledging that, Neko Cat Café doubled down on their policy. Here's the real kicker: This place isn't some purely charitable animal shelter. It's a for-profit business making money off drinks, beer, wine, snacks, and a cover charge for people to come play with their cats. If you're making money from customers, you don't get to hide behind "we're an adoption center" to dodge the law. It's a café first and foremost, and federal law applies. What disgusts me the most is the hypocrisy. I've been to plenty of actual non-profit shelters, and not once has any of them denied entry to a service dog. Yet here's Neko Cat Café--a business raking in money--acting like the rules don't apply to them. At the end of the day, this is just a greedy business hiding behind the guise of being a "shelter." They want the perks of being an adoption center but without following the laws every other business has to follow. read more

Our 20 year old cat just died. I took the girls to the Cat Cafe to look for a new member of the family. The snuggle party was awesome. 45 minutes is ample time to get to know the cats and find that special one you want to take home. There is beer and coffee, cake pops, and swag. There is a cafe space to sit down after and before to talk and relax. I love everything about the Cat Cafe, including the people. When I asked about adopting the cat my children fell for, I understood it to be a lengthy process, but it also seemed like we had a slim chance. I filled out the application but understand there are 50 applicants per cat, and it is not a first come, first serve adoption process. Nor should it be, but... we really want Danny. My son found this place just poking around on Google Maps. He likes maps. He screamed "A CAT CAFE". And I was like... huh? Of course I'd heard of cat cafes, but never considered going to one. I have cats. How fun could that be? Well, I'll tell you... it's fun anyway. We booked an appointment online - they had a couple days lead time (meaning they were booked solid for a couple of days when we decided to schedule). So... it can get busy. However, because they're booking appointments, it keeps the place feeling super chill. I assume that's a necessity for cats. Then again, I'll talk about the cats and they might not have minded if there was a human zoo outside their windows. Who knows. Anyway, we showed up 10 or 15 mins ahead of our appointment, grabbed a couple of sodas and baked goods for the kids. Everything was super tasty and they had plenty of hand sanitizer on hand (for the cats... and COVID). At our appointment time, they ushered us into the room, gave a few light ground rules (no picking them up... was the main one), and let us loose. We were a group of a total of 8-9 people. The room was big enough to spread out and play/pet/hang out/drink coffee/etc... I never felt even remotely cramped. You can take off your shoes and sit on a 'bonding pad' - where the cats can walk right up to you and sit on you or whatever. The majority of the cats were sleeping when we visited - but as soon as we started playing with one, the other perked up - either lazily from inside a tunnel, or actively getting up and moving around to the various guests. Burt Macklin: FBI was our favorite. He is a resident cat and he was SO FREAKIN' FRIENDLY - the kind of cat you expect to exist and thrive in a cat cafe. He roamed around greeting people and energetically receiving pets. He also played quite a bit. By the end of our visit, he was chillin' on the window sill, stretched out to the max, watching pigeons right outside on the sidewalk. People would occasionally stop walking and excitedly yell "kitty!" or whatever, take pics... and he'd just obliviously stare at the birds. Some of the cats were up for adoption or had already been adopted, so that's kind-of a nice bonus if you're looking to adopt a cat. Could be a good way to get to know them before adopting - spend a couple hours or days with them. Cool idea! Anyway, I did bring my kids here. They really enjoyed it - walking around, playing with cats, eating treats and sweets. I enjoyed it. It's a super fun little spot and I'll almost certainly be back. read more

As you're walking towards the cafe, you can actually take a peep of the kitties hanging out at the window. There's a little waiting area where you order drinks and snacks before going in to the cat lounge. The cats are were definitely more mellow. The cat caretaker told that most of the kitties were pooped out from a group of kids earlier in the day. Most of the cats were in the back room and some came out to lounge around. The space is definitely small and it felt a bit cramped. I would recommended going earlier in the day or afternoon when cats more are active. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. read more

I have been going through some rough times and my neighbors cats have been elusive, so I decided to check out Neko for some cat therapy! It's a very cute but small space, but hey, that means you are up close and personal with so many cats! We were lucky to be there with just one other couple. Sounds like there are usually more people and in that case I think it would be a little too tight for me. The staff was really lovely, especially our cat bouncer. It was quite warm in there, but it was a pretty hot day and most businesses in Seattle are just not equipped, so that's nothing particular to Neko. We didn't get any food or bev, but it looked like there were some good options, many of which were adorably cat themed. The cats were just precious with so many funny personalities. They were a little aloof, but that's what cats are like, you know? You definitely need to book ahead, and if you are driving you might want to allow some extra time to find parking, as Capitol Hill is a busy area. read more
