Nejame pools are NOT pool specialist. They provided the most horrible service for exuberant prices. after weekly service that costs $280+ for a visit, I found dead animals, baskets never been cleaned, 0 chlorine even though I was charged each week for chemicals they claimed to add. I would not even go into their complete incompetence regarding how to handle and fix pool equipmen. Stay away from this company! There are other pool guys in Dutchess county who can provide adequate service! read more

Chris Nejame installed my concrete swimming pool years ago. The pool cracked and leaked immediately (within days), ultimately draining completely of water. Nejame went incommunicado, not responding to my many emails and phone calls, assuming no responsibility for the repair...he had been paid. I had to sue him and did after it became clear he had no intention of addressing this. Expert witnesses testified in deposition that the crushed stone he put beneath the pool construction was far too thin a layer and that's why the pool cracked - it had not been done to standard. After spending tens of thousands of dollars, I had a cracked nonfunctional pool which several other pool installers felt needed a complete excavation and replacement to repair. When the case finally came to court, at the courthouse, I was advised by my attorney to accept the small, token settlement Nejame offered because, even assuming I won the case, I would have great difficulty collecting. Defendant's attorney made clear to mine that Nejame's business would, and not for the first time, declare bankruptcy rather than pay. I agreed at his advice. Nejame overcharge and underdeliver. Two years ago they did good work - high priced but at least they tried. This year? Forget it. I don't know if they are dishonest but they certainly can't be trusted to be helpful. Some of their people do good work. Others don't seem to even know the basics. And the owner doesn't give a hoot. Great service! Pool heater didn't work after opening and Mr. Nejame worked through FaceTime with me and explained to me exactly what to do and everything went perfect! We have used Nejame for the last three years. I have never been thrilled about their paperwork, but for the last two years we liked our regular service individual and the pool was spectacular. Believe me, we paid for it. This year has been a circus. There is little to expertise we can purchase with all the money we spend. It is the middle of June we did have an equipment issue that went undiagnosed, something they should have caught. The pool was somewhat clear for 3 days in the 50 days of our regular service. We have spent just under $6000 and it isn't even July. They don't care about our business. read more

We had a pool put in by Nejame in 2004. They did a decent job, everything was to code, and they promptly fixed everything under warranty that posed a problem (pool liner issues). That said, from a maintenance perspective I always felt they were a rip-off and on the take. Their pool-closing service was ridiculously expensive, and in the spring I would find the pool in much worse shape than the years I closed it myself. Their water tests produced significantly different results from others in the area, and I could never get my water chemistry right with Nejame tests and chemical recommendations. I eventually went to another local vendor and quickly fixed my chemistry issues at much less cost. read more

Everyone down to the assistants who I emailed with were knowledgable and professional...one even responded to my emails at 8pm on Memorial day - Great service! I used Nejame pools for my pool renovation a few years ago and have never had a worse experience with a vendor before or since. They took our money, and when we started to have problems, they were impossible to reach. They refused to answer our calls for help when the concrete patio they installed started to crack, the pool light kept falling out, the skimmers didn't work properly, and the tiles popped out. We lived with the mistakes even though it caused lots of problems and needs for service calls from divers and pool companies to fix the problems that each new summer season would bring. Now, several years later, we are having to renovate the pool all over again to rectify all the mistakes NeJames made. They were all about sales - not service. I feel sorry for anyone who is fooled by the sales pitch and ends up using them. read more

We were infinitely happy to have NeJame Pools install our plunge/ cocktail pool recently. The whole process from the initial introduction by Steven O'Brian, the owner, discussions, reviewing plans and construction phase was pretty smooth considering global pandemic. The promise to be able to use it before Memorial Day Weekend was fulfilled despite many problems with different delays from materials to subcontractors! Steven is an amazing guy and is highly professional. He can explain you the chemistry of the pool, properties of materials used but also loves to man an excavator himself wether to dig a trench for pipes or even to smooth the road surface after my driveway was turned upside down with undeground electric and water communications. And, he even assisted with landscaping and planting which was a total extra on his behalf! NeJame has a highly professional building crew, they work very clean and respect the property. Steven had always been available on a short notice to answer many questions that we've had and would stop by many times to answer them providing an amazing personal service. We are very satisfied and do not have any hesitation recommending NeJame Pools Specialist for you next pool project! read more

I am so disappointed with Nejame pool Specialist. I called for an appointment to install a new heat pump. The receptionist told me yes we can do that and quoted me a price of 140.00 the first hour and then 125.00 for every hour after that. The appointment came and he arrived by himself. He told me he couldn't install the heat pump, because he couldn't move it, true. However the price quote to install, I was told was was 140.00 the first hour. Then he called the office, to help me to get this job completed, and they offered to send 2 additional men for an extra 200.00! I believe they were trying to scam me. I told them not acceptable. They made the error and I would split the cost with them. It would only take 10 minutes to move the unit 10 feet and put into position to hook it up. They told me they couldn't do it. I also spoke to the owner Chris who also wouldn't help me. I wasted an entire day and week waiting for them and not getting the job done. I will never call upon them again. read more
