Every salesperson we encountered was very helpful. I went in with my son to try on the Christian Louboutin shoes. I informed our salesperson I was just scouting the pair I wanted so I could suggest to my husband what I would like for Christmas. In spite of not getting a sale, the young man that waited on us was very helpful, even suggesting additional options I wasn't aware of. He definitely understood the long game. Greetings fellow shopaholics. I write this update, because I had a few SPLENDID experiences at Neiman's this past week, and must share. Dianne in dress collections not only assisted me, she went above and beyond to track down my size Tory Burch jacket at a store in Texas. She also called me several days after my shopping trip to update me on a suit I had my eye on, going on sale. Another woman in lingerie scoured the system to find a hard-to-buy size. Another woman in dresses also assisted me, even though I was already being helped. Dianne and I really hit it off, chatting about her family and the holidays...she even gave me heads up on when the Last Call sale would start, and when pre-sale would take place. I think she saved me several hundred dollars...which was a good move. I'll be loyal to shopping with her. Maybe Neiman's has finally woken up. What a strange turn of events. Usually Nordstrom is my go-to for service. When I visited last week, nobody offered help me. BUT... the ladies at Neiman's actually approached me several times to make sure I was being helped. I ordered a bottle of Prada EDP from NeimanMarcus.com. Instead of sending me the Parfum I ordered they sent me lotion. When I called customer service to inform them of their error they were more concerned with sending me a label to return the lotion and informing me that if I don't return the lotion I'll be charged for it. But were less concerned about making the situation right. It wasn't until after they sent me a return label and twice expressed to me that I need to make sure I return the $55 bottle of lotion, that they then turned their attention to the $160 bottle of Parfum I ordered and already paid for. Their suggestion was ridiculous. First I was told to write a note with my return requesting the warehouse upon receipt to mail the correct item. Then a supervisor suggested I cancel the order, reorder, and pay again. I explained they never fulfilled my original order that I paid for so why would I reorder. But again her interest shifted to me returning the item sent incorrectly. I cancelled the order. Customer service was non existent. I'll take my business and money else where. I'm sure Nordstrom would be happy to fill my order correctly and for the same price. When dealing with a high end retailer I expect high end service and Neimans just lost me as a customer. read more

The employees at this location were extremely helpful and very courteous. They were not pushy as all when looking at the handbags and treated me like a valuable customer in every way. Neiman Marcus will suffer greatly if they don't update their retail experience. The women's department at this location is extremely disappointing in terms of selection, visuals AND customer service. It was a mess. Product was very scattered and hard to shop. Luckily the nice woman in shoes made up for my experience by actually acknowledging me and helping me! This store was really nice. However, I refuse to give it any more than one star because the person I was with and I were racially profiled as we entered and exited the store heading into the mall. As we entered, one woman (an employee) was offering samples and didn't offer us anything but offered the people before and after us some. As we exited, one woman stereotyped us as we walked past the jewelry and insured that another employee (a man) stand near her as we walked past, because she feared something bad would happen and made it extremely obvious. As I walked out the store, a man (employee) wished us a good day and I asked him for a managers name. He said he was one of them and I let him know the situation at hand. The shoe department is fabulous! Great customer service and I always feel like it's a lovely treat to try on such a lovely selection of shoes. They have a nice Valentino and Chanel collection. They also have a large CL selection, however I wish they had some more selection of the 85mm CLs as I find them a bit more practical for when I'll need to be on my feet for long periods of time. read more

And it is adequate -- there is no cafe or restaurant (Neiman Marcus restaurants are known for their popovers and strawberry butter -- YUM!). The selection seems to be fashionable and current (the designers you'd expect). The staff is quite friendly. They are eager to please and remember names. Nice. read more

BAH for somebody who LOVES high fashion, Neiman Marcus is a sweet temptation. It's got the major high fashion bases covered-Chanel, Kate Spade, Dian von Furstenberg, DKNY, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, and thousands more. If you have ridiculous amounts of money to spend on clothing that isn't a whole bunch different from something from Nordstroms other than the name-tag. The shoe section is what gets me really excited-Bottega Venetta, UGG, Monolo Blaknik, and Christian Louboutin! (My dream shoe-I hope to own a pair one day so that I can stop coloring the soles of Forever 21 heels red and get some already red ones) Great service even to me-a casually dressed teenager who strolls in to the store just to look mostly. Their cosmetic section is great as well-They carry the Kiehl's line which is hard to find and they can provide samples for you if you want to try before you buy. Great store! read more

Seriously Neiman is such a great place to shop at! ( but if they have an restaurant in it too like their fellow brother and sister, it would awesome!) Why are they great? Well 1. They don't have any date restriction on their returns, why is that great? Well I bought a 7 jean and I don't know what happen but after the first wash, the metallic layer of the pant just all washed off so when I return they allow the return and were sincerely apologizing about it. 3. Just because you Can doesn't mean you should. My husband and I accidentally stumbled into this store looking for a Christmas present. I found it odd that the whole store was essentially empty while the rest of the mall was packed. We made our way in, browsing. We went to the fragrance counter and saw these very unique looking little bottles. We were instantly intrigued, wanting so smell the scent. A sales person finally made their way over to the counter to offer help. Her tone was reluctant and we both instantly felt like the woman didn't want to help us. She begins discussing the fragrances - which all smell like a 2nd rate scented candle or incense stick. She then absolutely shocks me by telling me that this underrated nonsense smelling tiny bottle of fragrance was $360. I almost laughed in her face. I don't care who you are or what you can afford: NO perfume should cost $360!! Just out of curiosity we took the escalator upstairs to see what else the store had. No one said hello. There was not one Customer in sight. All employees. I will NEVER ever make this mistake again. read more

Buyer Beware- You may want to buy makeup from somewhere else. This is the worst Neiman Marcus I have ever been to. The sales associate asks me if I used the makeup and I had not so she put it right back for resale. That's absolutely disgusting! I thought that returned makeup was discarded. What if I had left it in the car for 2 weeks in summertime and then decided to return it? Most people that work here look miserable and never even break a smile. You have to literally beg someone to help you find an item. I gave this store multiple tries but have had some issue form being given the wrong makeup to an associate insisting they don't have a product when it says its in stock. They go out of their way to create an unpleasant experience. It may have something to with my first point that they are not happy where they work so it seeps into customer experience. Also, its unsettling when a store has cops inside of it at all times. Im sure they are some nice employees in the store but it is so hit or miss that I rather avoid the whole store. read more

The store is beautiful and the personal level of customer service is amazing! I've been coming here for years, before moving here I lived in South Carolina and it was well worth the drive. Sarah in women's shoes never judged for being a college student at the time and treated me like I was her best customer. I have been loyal to her years. Susan the jewelry manager has also been wonderful to me. She listens to what I'm looking for and over the years she knows what accessories were made for me. My favorite Holiday card is always from Susan- she's been apart of so many special moments in my life and I don't know her outside of the store. I love the fact that the store is not overwhelmingly big and that the bags and the shoes are right across each other. The staff are so helpful, specially Suzetta from the ladies shoe dept. I called the store, Suzetta took my wish list and called me the same day to inform me that she has found what I was looking for. She's very prompt and she works hard and called different stores to find the shoes I was looking for. Suzetta is outstanding and very very courteous. Geoff from the same department was also very helpful and courteous. He was quick to help and had a very welcoming aura. The 2.5-hour drive is so worth it! read more

I visited Neiman's a few months ago to shop for foundation. The sales rep was very helpful and pleasant. She took lots of time helping me select a foundation and I ended up leaving with the Chanel foundation. After using it for a few weeks I noticed that the foundation left my face very dry and even cracked in certain areas. I went back to the store to exchange it for a different brand foundation only to be told that all sales were final on cosmetics. I am an avid cosmetics buyer and have even worked in retail in the cosmetics space (both mid-tier and high-end cosmetics) and I was very shocked that Neiman's policy did not allow for exchanges on products that their customer's were not satisfied with. By the way, I had my receipt and spoke with the same salesperson (who btw was still very nice and helpful, but stated it was simply their policy). She gave me some samples and I ended up leaving with my foundation that didn't fit my skin-type. At any rate, just thought I'd share. I was very unhappy with this overall experience because I ended up being stuck with a $50 foundation that I was not able to use. I guess next time I go foundation shopping I'll stick to Nordstrom or even Ulta. At least I know they have my satisfaction in mind. read more

There is really no shortage of bad reviews about this place, but I am adding one more because I think that the community should know, and the manager should read about it to improve customer service experience. I am on the lookout for a complex Santal perfume, and wanted to experience the Creed Original Santal on my skin for about 8 hours to go through the entire range of top, heart and base notes. Before I say what happened yesterday, let me give you a context: 1) I am always very well dressed; the reps should not confuse me for a hobo. 2) I should not look threatening from any angle, unless the reps are prejudiced because of something else. 3) Every time I have decided to sample their fragrances, I have been given weird suspicious looks and bad service - I can see the excruciating pain in the eyes of the reps who help me out - as if I am wasting so much of their time. This in spite of spending $$$$ at their store. 4) When I dare try one of their tester samples, someone leaps up and flies at me to take the tester away from my hands - maybe they think I am wasting their precious juices and am not good enough for them? Keeping the above in mind, please read on. So I walk in, very well dressed, smelling great, very polite, and ask a rep (I know her name, but will not mention it here because I believe it is a problem with the management not training their reps properly or even worse, training them to be rude with clients) for the Original Santal. She brings out a 4oz (120ml) tester bottle and I let her know that I am not just interested in the top notes from a strip - would she mind making a 0.7ml - 1ml small sampler for me to that I can wear it on skin for several hours and then decide? She pulled the sample away and held on to it for dear life, as if I was planning to run away with her precious bottle. Then she gives me the story that whereas they regularly make samples like that for others, for some reason in my case and on that day, she doesn't have "enough juice". I don't know what that means, but 120ml seemed like enough juice to take 0.7ml from surely? Who decides in this place whether there is "enough juice" to make a 0.7ml sample? Dear Manager, pretty please answer this simple question for me. Anyway, I walked away with a small spray on my wrist. I like its longevity and sillage, and I plan to return today to buy a Falcon and a couple of Creed Atomizers. My bill will be over $800, and in return, I will request small samples of different Creed perfumes that they have in stock. I will let the forum know what happens. I hope to be able to leave a positive feedback next time, but am I holding my breath? Lastly, I am aware of a distinct marketing theory in luxury goods which supposes that if reps are rude and insolent towards their luxury clientele, and if they put them down, the clients spend more to prove their worth to the reps. This may work in some cases, but NM management should know better than to try it on NM clients. This definitely doesn't work on 90% people - not the millenials for sure :) read more

My wife and I were in Charlotte this past week on business, we have shopped at NM in New York, Atlanta and now Charlotte. The sale associates were tops, the store was clean and very well staffed. I shopped in the shoe dept. and the lady that waited on me knew what she was doing. She sold me a pair of Gucci shoes by pointing out the other pair I liked at a higher price were not made as well as the lower priced ones I purchased. I called at least at NM stores up and down the east coast and midwest, including the Bal Harbor store in Miami, Short Hills in NJ and NM in Chicago. I will never, ever go into a Neiman Marcus again in my life. This past Saturday I was in Neiman Marcus and I was at the clothing section on the second floor. There was a table displaying jewelry and one bowl had a substance unknown to me but I was not afraid of it since it was out in public so it should not be a hazard...right? WRONG YOU ARE DEAD WRONG. This bowl was filled with FIBER GLASS holding up rings! I tried on the rings, as anyone interested in buying rings would do. Moments later my hands started hurting and my hand started getting warmer and warmer. Later that night I broke out in hives and the next day I woke up COVERED IN HIVES and my hands were swollen, my feet also became swollen, preventing me from being able to walk. I missed 3 days of college and as a senior about to graduate this has really taken a toll on my grades and two projects of mine already. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING SO DANGEROUS WAS PUT OUT IN PUBLIC WITH NO WARNING SIGN OR ANYTHING??!?! what?!?! what idiot does that? the worst part? I reached urgent care right at the moment my throat started swelling up. I could have died and yet this fiber glass was put out as it was nothing.
