She is a really great, extremely reliable dentist (wonderful, hyper detail oriented, ultra ultra conscientious--and friendly and kind). Recently Dr Elizabether Ashiku did me a great service. She saved my tooth when a negligent exam from a Berkeley dentist (holly wieber) caused me to almost lose that tooth. I could tell something was off when I saw doctor weiber and so I went to get a 2nd opinion from Dr Ashiku because she's so flawlessly reliable. I sat in the dental chair for a visit that stretched to three hours as Dr Ashiku valiantly tried to clean up the mess dr wieber had left behind. She kept saying "I think we can save the tooth," and "You may have to have a root canal; lets see what we can do." She did save my tooth and after a vitality test my tooth is still okay, three months after the initial crisis. Dr Ashiku is extremely alert, informed, and conscientious. Also she makes me feel genuinely valued and liked. It's often been quite inconvenient for me to have to schedule dental appointments in Ukiah though I live in Berkeley, but I think that so long as I can travel to Ukiah, I will continue to see Dr Ashiku, even if a new dentist I found in Berk turns out to be pretty good. Dr Ashiku is about as fastidiously reliable a dentist as you will ever find. My husband recommended her to me and she's been taking excellent care of our teeth for years. If keeping your teeth is a priority for you, go see Dr Elizabeth Ashiku.

I had a terrible experience as a child preventing me from seeking proper dental care. When I finally got the nerve to call, I was able to ask questions surrounding my anxiety and immediately felt at ease. I was able to get in for an emergency appointment the following week and scheduled a 3 hour appointment for 4 weeks later to clean my teeth and fix my broken tooth. My anxiety kicked in when I arrived and sat in the parking lot. I am so thankful I went in. I have never felt so comfortable in a dental office. The entire staff is amazing, but Rosie is the absolute best! She took care of me on both appointments and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process of deep cleaning and fixing my broken tooth. I took the option of being knocked out for the procedure. The price was reasonable and can be done at their office which is not common. For the first time in my life, I look forward to going to the dentist. I have more work ahead and I cannot wait to go (yes, this must sound crazy). I love them so much I made an appointment for my husband and brother to pay them a visit. Being in acute pain for a few days and with the Thanksgiving holidays round the corner, to be able…read moreto get an Endodontist's appointment seemed impossible. I called up a couple including Santa Rosa Endodontics and was accommodated the following day itself, for a consult. I was attended to by Dr. Marina Awad. I had been referred by the dentist for a 'retreat' of the root canal (done just months before) but instead of straight away wanting to go for that, Dr. Awad took the route of doing a thorough reexamination, first. They did a detailed 3 D X-ray, physical examination, blotting paper tests, did the level correction of that tooth cap, asked Qs, made suggestions, asked me to wait for a few weeks and come back (in case I could tolerate the pain and discomfort for a few days) to re-assess if at all a retreat was needed or was it okay to wait for it to heal itself (as visibly all looked okay to Dr. Awad). I preferred to wait and revisit. The thorough examination was undertaken once again and certain valid suggestions were got once again from Dr. Awad. The best part about my visits to her is her understanding and patient attitude. One of the suggestion/option she gave me was to try and wait it out for another six months to see if the issue was coz the root canal needed time for healing or a 'retreat' is really needed due to some other issue, especially when visibly all still seemed okay. I agreed with her point of view & suggestion. She is a thorough professional and seems someone who is in no rush to 'retreat' unless that's necessary. I recommend Dr. Awad and Santa Rosa Endodotics!!

I've worked in dentistry for 20+ years and I am very skeptical of work and environment of a dental practice and I was nervous to go somewhere I was unfamiliar with but they were right in town (Willits) and I couldn't make the drive down to our regular dental provider. I noticed the hygienist walking an elderly woman out after her cleaning and she was being very friendly and caring with her, there was an assistant walking around with a smile and greeting patients and making small talk and that was also very assuring of the staff and the care that is expected. We saw Dr. Solongo Purev who told us she was new to the practice (not new to dentistry) and she went above and beyond with making sure my son's tooth was restored well! I had the piece of tooth that had been fractured and she made an impression of it as a guide to make his restorations's anatomy the same as what the natural tooth was before, she didn't have to do that but she did! She also has a good eye for shade detail and used two shades to give it a natural appearance. Everyone's been very pleased and impressed with her work cosmetically who has seen my son since the accident including myself and I couldn't be happier with mine and my son's experience at Willits Modern Dentistry. I would have liked to have seen more barriers being used in the treatment room's lights, hand-pieces, trays and chair arms as those were all uncovered and are areas of high spray, and I could tell the assistant's set up was not complete for the doctor to complete the treatment without needing to ask for her composite instruments and discs for an anterior fill but I believe from my observation the assistant helping that day was a temp employee or new and that can take some time to learn if no one has given her more direction on how the doctor operates and what's available in office (again these are just things only someone in dental would recognize and it didn't impede any of the treatment rendered to us as patients that day).
