I have been a patient of Dr. Wilensky's since 2010. I have had no problems with the care I have…read morereceived until this last visit. I needed a root canal. That was accomplished by Jeff. The next day the crown next to the tooth that had the root canal had the porcelain splinter and fall off. I called and Dr. Wilensky said he would repair it. Once in the chair he said the crown was intact, that he could smooth the rough edges but it would be gray, not white. As it was a back tooth I agreed. I got home and looked. It was shiny silver. I called and made an appointment to have it replaced. At this appointment Dr. Wilensky is telling me that the splintered porcelain was not a direct result of the root canal. It was a coincidence. He told me of a Roman saying that had to do with a comet and a good grain harvest. I was told it would cost over $500, because it was, in my opinion, an unbelievable coincidence, not a result of the root canal. I still have a silver smile, it's just not in evidence at the moment.

I wish I could give zero stars! Wilensky only cares about the money! When I decided against a root…read morecanal from another dentists recommendation and articles of how bad they can be and I was treated with such disrespect and was disgusted that he continued to try and talk me into having a root canal because then I would have to pay $700 plus the $2,000 from my insurance! He then went on to basically say he can't help me with any other problems because people sometimes have a 'box of demons' quote. that can cause conditions and he can't do anything for me! So if you don't have a lot of money do not go to this dentist!!!!

I recently had a problem with a broken tooth which I asked him to try and cement back in its original position. Although it probably wasn't his first choice, he listened to my wishes and tried to oblige. After several attempts we both finally decided that the tooth needed to be pulled. I was apprehensive and slightly nervous about the procedure, but it turned out to be very easy. Doctor KB even called me at home over the weekend to check to see how I was doing. He is a first class dentist !!!!!

Given all the glowing 5-star reviews, I must have seen Dr. Baumgartner on a bad day for him because…read moreit became a really bad day and exam for me. These are the facts: while laid flat on my back in the exam chair, him on one side, his assistant on the other, they had an argument with each other across me. Further, while probing my gum depth, he was heavy handed and hurt me badly. I asked specifically if he would use a gentler touch, he did not and continued to hurt me. I was shocked in that no other dentist hurt me unnecessarily before that. I wish I'd been a better advocate for myself and said "Stop, let me up" but I was so surprised by this behavior I failed to do so. The atmosphere in the office was dark and bleak as I paid and checked out which indicated to me unhappy employees. I phoned in later to state these facts and got a call back scolding me loudly and harshly. Again, I was shocked never having been treated so badly by a professional before this event. I hope you get him on a 5-star day. I won't go back.

After being turned…read moreaway by another local clinic and facing a long, complicated VA referral process to an oral surgeon hours away, I was feeling desperate. On a whim, I called Fort Bragg Family Dental. After two missed calls, Dr. Nate Poenaru himself answered the third. I explained the situation and he said, "Can you come in now?" Within 45 minutes of arriving, my dad walked out--treated and on the road to recovery. What would've taken weeks, travel, and red tape, Dr. Poenaru handled with kindness, urgency, and skill. He didn't have to answer the phone. He didn't have to help us. But he did--and made a huge difference in our lives. We are beyond grateful. -- Charlotte & Tim Hawley

I have a tooth infection and waited for three hours before someone called me. They wanted to schedule me about 32 hours away with a dentist who is not Nate or Jeff and claimed they could not prescribe an antibiotic without an exam. I am on the phone now trying to get some help today--Monday, not a weekend, not a holiday, with a dentist I have never seen because the ones who took my money and have my x-rays and records are not willing to help me. A woman staff person named Erica is not kind or empathic but defensive and dismissive. I would go anywhere else for dental care before I would give these people more money. Their rates are among the highest.
