BURNED CLOTHES

Very bad service. I dropped off my clothes and they were completely burned. All of my clothes were completely ruined and not salvageable at all. Prior to this incident, often times the clothes were damaged with random white spots on them. Lady apparently has no idea why. She has given me other peoples items many times and also folds everything inside out. They are not careful or caring at all with your items. She wanted to give me only $200 for the over $1000 worth of clothes she burned. Over 40 items ruined. REALLLY BAD!

I haven't done laundry in over a year! Wait. That didn't come out right... This was the first time…read moreI've been to a laundromat in BK in over a year. Maybe that's the reason I screwed up this first visit back to this place because I left an entire load of clothes behind in the dryer! The staff was nice enough to keep my clothes tucked away nice and neat until I realized two days later that I left them behind! This place has been clean pre-COVID and they've BEEN sanitizing the machines and folding tables in between customers before the pandemic. Many of these Bed-Stuy laundromats make me want to hand wash all of my clothes and never step foot in a laundromat because they are just way too unsanitary-- but not this place. Once you take your clothes out of the washer, they are sanitizing inside and out. No more strange smells after someone takes their supposedly clean load out and no more bringing my own sanitizing products to wipe down the washers before use. They take care of it for you! Floors stay mopped and clean so you don't feel so bad if you drop a panty or two. Other laundromats I will throw away any piece of clothing that falls to the ground but here, I'll kindly rewash them. That says a LOT. If you need any detergent, laundry bags (plastic or cloth), bleach, dryer sheets, fabric softener, etc., they've got a little convenient store and a vending machine inside to get all the stuff you need. I can't say the staff was always so welcoming but the owner is soooo much nicer now. Whatever change happened has truly warmed his soul and I feel more happy spending my coins here! Before this was the only laudry place to go to because I lived a couple steps away, now I gladly drive to this place because it's worth it. There's a change machine (all machines take coins) nice size options for washers and it doesn't take a crazy amount of detergent to get things soapy. A quarter gets you 7 minutes for the dryer. If you are a nice person who doesn't overstuff the dryer, 21 minutes is all you need to dry a load-- 75 cents ain't bad, huh? This isn't a large laundromat but if you go during non-peak times, you can get your washing done quick and easy and maybe catch a show on the big tv screen while you wait! Clean + Kind = My Laundro-Loyalty

**VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.**…read more I've been coming to this laundromat for years, so I was extremely disappointed by the way the owner treated me. I was initially dealing with his staff, who were assisting me with collecting my clean, laundered clothes. The owner abruptly jumped into the conversation with an aggressive tone, telling me that I needed to drop off my clothes first. I calmly explained that his staff were already assisting me and that I was simply there to pick up the clean clothes I had previously dropped off. He then responded, "So I'm just supposed to stand here and wait?" I told him that I would address him once I finished locating my clothes. Instead of allowing the situation to proceed, he became increasingly rude and accused ME of being rude. My tone remained consistent throughout the entire interaction. Ultimately, he refused to provide me with service. It's extremely disappointing to be treated this way, especially as someone who has supported this business for years. It's even more disheartening to experience this from a Black-owned business. Supporting our own should also mean experiencing respect, professionalism, and decent customer service. **BEWARE:** If customer respect and basic courtesy matter to you, I would recommend choosing another laundromat. No longtime customer should be made to feel unwelcome or disrespected for simply picking up their clean clothes.
