At Zen, the instructors are so fun, motivating, and you have a new workout every class! The staff are so welcoming and I love that they acknowledge my name when I walk in. It really makes me feel like I'm part of the family and cared about. I have to say the challenges really keep me active and working hard throughout the year. If they didn't have them every couple of months I would not be as consistent or motivated to go all the time. I also LOVE they have showers. Before coming to Zen a couple of studios I tried out did not offer that, which didn't give me the option to take morning classes right before work. If I worked from home it wouldn't be as big of a deal, but having to go into the office every day I love I have the option to work out before or after work. 10/10 love this place and everyone I've met there!

I use to come in the early 00s and unfortunately it still looks the same even after 20 years. They even got rid of their indoor pool. Other Ys have a hot tub and/ or an outdoor water park. This one has neither. The gym is small and the equipment looks worn down. The locker rooms are also outdated and dirty. It looks like they kept the same carpet. I certainly hope that the Y puts a little money and effort in making this a premier Y. If they don't, I don't see how this place can last much longer.

I recently had to switch gyms after my old gym (French Riviera) closed down unexpectedly. Luckily,…read morethey made arrangements for us to workout at EMAC for a month while we were finding a new gym. Unluckily, French had somehow messed up my membership, so EMAC didn't let me workout there but let my wife (we were only a family plan at French). I didn't understand it, but I have my theories about what French was doing. I didn't feel EMAC handled it well, but it's not their fault. So I tried EMAC, and really enjoyed it, so did my wife. It's a little smaller than French Riviera and LA Fitness, has less equipment than them, but definitely has the essential equipment you would need for your workouts. Everything from rowing, to oly lifts, to traditional weightlifting, to green space for crossfit or HIIT workouts. They even have classes that are included in the membership. And it's never too busy to find space or equipment to use. They weren't able to give me the same discount French Riviera did, so we are basically paying twice as much for this gym, but hey, that's life. I'd definitely recommend this gym to anyone in the area.
