Need it Now is a very low quality courier service. I had never heard of them before this incident. I ordered $250 from Neiman Marcus (2 Estee Lauder items) during their Beauty Event which is going on at this time. A free tote bag plus beauty samples were included which the courier driver was very likely aware of. If not, why would a driver throw packages near the front door of a business and expect them not to be stolen? I believe the real truth is the packages were never even delivered. I phoned Neiman Marcus online and requested a Supervisor. Asokan came to the phone. He said he was located in Africa and told me the courier was NEED IT NOW. He wanted to file a claim and wait almost a week for the results. I didn't want to miss out on the free tote and samples so tried to get him to do another solution and he refused. I then asked for his boss and he lied (I found out) and said she was on a call. I informed Asokan that if my claim is denied I will take NM to small claims court. $250 is not a lot of money but it is the principle. He said ok if that's what you want to do. This company is a JOKE! An order was placed for my shoes Over a week ago & Neiman Marcus foolishly uses them as a random 3rd party shipping service and has since last year. 7 days later after initial contact via email, I had to call them for a follow up (like I'm their parent) & guess what... they LOST THE PACKAGE. They don't know where it is or who has it and their only solution was for ME to Neiman Marcus (NorthPark Center, Dallas), file a claim, and basically do their job! This is unacceptable and beyond unprofessional & unnecessarily adds stress to not only MY DAY but to these sales associates who have anything better to do. Thank God NM has tremendous customer service group who's investigating this matter and after I traveled to 2 stores to let their managers and executives know what's going on, they put this on their highest priority. Change the delivery date multiple times. Poor Customer Service, Correction, RUDE Customer Service. They either don't answer the phone or you're put on hold 15 plus minutes or until you hang up and call back again with THE SAME PERSON answering "hello" as if it was the first time you called! WE went through this three times! Awful company. They don't even bother to buzz your door on delivery and leave packages outside on busy street corners in NYC. They deliver for Bergdorf//NM and so knowingly throw thousands of dollars worth of goods on the street with no attempt to contact the recipient. It's really not that hard to hit the buzzer when you are already at the door. My packages have been stolen twice now because of Need It Now. And both times I was at my door within 5-10 minutes of delivery in a panic because I received an email confirmation yet no buzzer. Worse experience I've ever been through. 1st attempt to deliver my furniture was on a Friday, my window was from 10am-2pm. Drivers called at 8:30am and stated they were 30 minutes away. I waited until 10 for my furniture and no one has called or rang my doorbell. My next door neighbor said the drivers sat in the truck for 45 minutes without attempting to get out and rang my doorbell or to even call my phone to let me know they have arrived. Drivers ended up leaving. 2nd attempt was on Monday. My delivery window was from 11-3. I again waiting the entire time and at 3 no one had showed up or called. I called the dispatch and they said that they forgot to load my merchandise on the truck so again another day wasted taking off from work. read more

Their people arrived well within the window I was provided, phoned me 15 minutes prior to their arrival and did the job very quickly and smoothly. I ordered a dress online from Nieman Marcus. Need it Now was the courier company attached to the tracking number. The dates were completely wrong for delivery. It took 5 days past the date that the tracker said that the package was to be delivered. I thought it had been stolen. There was no way to contact anybody. It finally arrived while I was messaging Nieman's. Then, I got an email message that the package had been delivered a day after it had been delivered. Every time I called and asked them where it is they couldn't give me clear answer and all they would do was to put my concern in their chatting system, but they never follow-up or ever resolved the issue. I asked several times to speak to a manager, but they said the manager is aware of that because we have the chatting system, but every time I asked after couple of days that what is the status or resolution, they didn't have any information. This company NEVER showed up. After waiting for nearly 40 minutes for the pickup, I finally call and am told the guy is still at least 45 minutes away. They never even contacted me to tell me this, despite my repeated notes of urgency for the delivery. The first woman I speak to hangs up on me; the second person I speak to apologizes, cancels the order and says I will be processed a refund immediately. Since then, it has been nearly a month (delivery for for 9/8; today is 10/2). I have called THREE more times to get my refund processed. I am still sitting with a $105.00 charge for a service that never happened, with unfulfilled promises of a refund. I only wish I could give a zero rating! These are the most unprofessional group of individuals I have had the displeasure of dealing with. I purchased a very expensive piece of furniture that is scheduled for delivery by this company. I received a call from someone named Sabrina representing their Queens location (718-606-1385) on Tuesday to state that my item would be delivered on Friday between 8-12. Now, of course I'm taken aback as this was my first contact with the company and she's telling me when my delivery will be...I don't think so; we work together to find a time that is suitable for MY schedule. I informed Sabrina that Friday is no good and I will need to reschedule for a Saturday, which is more convenient. She then informed me that I would receive a call on Thursday from the department that handles deliveries and I could make the change at that time...didn't make sense, but it's not my company. On Thursday at 5:23 p.m. I received a voicemail stating that my delivery was confirmed for the following day between 8-12. I returned the call at 5:29 p.m. only to get an operator that says he doesn't work for the company but is rather an answering service. I left a message in the general mail box stating that I will indeed not be available and to contact me to schedule a more appropriate date. At this time it would be an understatement to say I'm perturbed, so I contacted the vendor from whom I made the purchase and found out that they have been receiving similar complaints from customers and are working on a resolution. Hopefully a termination of contract or they will lose clients most definitely. At 10:42 a.m. this morning (Friday) I received a call from a very short-tempered representative named Jamir confirming my delivery. Once again, I explained that I am not confirming because I did not schedule the delivery. She all but called me a liar, informing me that they would not put in their computer that the delivery was confirmed unless I did HAD confirmed. Really? I find it interesting, but not the least bit amusing that she could make a statement with such certainty especially since she is not the person I spoke with on Tuesday. I managed to schedule a date to suit my convenience before terminating the call. Not surprisingly, I received a call this morning (Friday) at 11:15 a.m. from the delivery driver saying that he is on the way to make my delivery and inquiring if I was home. I informed him that I am at work and that I communicated my unavailability to the company. He then informed me that they have been "screwing up" a lot and this is nothing new. If you have any say in the matter concerning delivery of your items, please spare yourself the grief, headache, and possible gray hair by avoiding this company. I have been using Need it Now for 4 years. I have found they are better than the other couriers out there. I use them for a variety of services. They are punctual and courteous and my deliveries show up where they need to be-- weather it is cross country or cross town. There are times that drivers are late, but they don't control traffic. Twice last week they showed up early. My client was very pleased, she got her delivery an hour before promised. I use these guys when I need it done right. I love that I can schedule pick ups at 2 in the morning. They always answer. Best guys out there. read more
