Ned Stevens Gutter Service folks went beyond my expectations in cleaning the gutters on my two story house! they were very careful of my new roof and gutters, blowing off my roof, checking with running water to be sure down spouts were clear, cleaning up the debris from the gutters and even the leaves in my driveway! the first thing I saw when they came in the yard were huge smiles and a good morning! what special guys these were! I highly recommend them, for they look for ways to say yes to the customer and strive to do the right thing, taking pride in their work! they will be my go-to from now on for gutter service! read more

This business is a scam. I set up an appointment for them to clean my gutters. I was not home, but I received a call that they were complete and found a tag on my front door that somebody had been by. They pushed the fact that I needed new gutters and wanted to give me a quote. I asked them for pictures of the clean gutters, and they assured me that they would send them along with the bill to pay for the cleaning. I had contractors at my house that advised that they never saw anybody come clean the gutters during the time that the Ned Stevens rep said they were there. If you are wanting to have your gutters hand cleaned by professionals then do NOT HIRE Ned Stevens Home Services. They showed up unannounced, the young man who rang the door bell tracked mud on the rug by the front door. I asked if they were going to hand clean the gutters, he said Yes. Then I watched him grab a large blower out of the truck and I stepped out and asked again if they hand cleaned the gutters first, before blowing the gutters and he assured me that was how they worked. Two minutes later the blower was going and leaves were flying everywhere, all over my back porch, patio, sidewalk and somehow onto my front porch, which is in an alcove 20' away. I went out and asked them to stop work and again said I did not want the gutters blown out, that I wanted them hand cleaned. Again, they both just shook their heads and said this was how they did their work. So I then asked them to stop work, clean up and leave my property. I spoke to the office and was told there must have been a misunderstanding that they never hand clean gutters, they just blow the debris out. He said if I was not happy the consumer I just needed to call the office and they would send another crew out to clean up. He offered to have a crew back out tomorrow, but after this experience I would never have any of his workers here again. How about doing the job correctly the first time. I just spent hours cleaning up the mess they left. Be very cautious of Brian Propos who I had spoken to. I was very specific I did not want the mess that would be created if they blew the gutters and he assured me they would hand clean the gutters, and sweep up any leaves that might miss the bucket. I was going to have them come back to clean my windows, but I would not have anyone from this business on my property ever again. read more

Immediately I noticed the Language Barrier between me and the workers, as I Do Not Speak Spanish. They scratched my Gutter on the front of my home, and they did Not perform the Reattachment of the Lower gutter on the Back Side of my Home, as the weight of the water on the Previously overflowing Gutter had pulled the gutter away from its mounting, This was one of the Agreed on Services on the in initial call to Neds Home. I received a call later from the Company and they indicated the Crew had found Moss growing on my roof (the Tree awaiting Removal adjacent to my home is dropping debris onto my roof, Moss Is Not Growing on my roof). He commented that I would need a Power Washing to remove the Moss (No, I do Not Need A Power Washing of my Roof). The Gutter in the Back of my Home Still has Not Been Reattached. As far as I can Tell the Crew did a good job Cleaning the Gutters. I think the Owner of the Company should Review the Communication Issues between the Workers and Customers And pay more attention to Completing Requested Work. The Crews also need to be More Careful about How the Place Ladders onto Roofs and Prevent Scratching Gutters. read more

I wouldn't even give these guys one star. They came to my house to do a job and didn't realize they were on video surveillance. I got their guys running around on my roof, dragging hoses and equipment, not safe! They were also supposed to do a pressure wash did a real crappy job. I got the employees on video sitting in my driveway doing nothing then, they claim that they did the work and wanted to charge me for it, after I sent them the video, they all of a sudden claim that the house was already clean and that's why they didn't do the job. this company is a joke. The company does not have experience people working for them and it is actually dangerous to have them on your property. read more

RIP OFF AT ITs BEST! $150 to clean gutters and provide an analysis. I was specific with three issues I was having when I made the appointment. I was told it was no problem that with the cleaning an analysis is done and repairs will be done. "We've been in the business a long time..." The man who comes to clean the gutters doesn't speak English well but he was able to tell me in broken English the gutter guards needed to be removed and thrown away for another $115.00! The guards were only two years old. The gentleman finishes the job, there were no leaves in my gutters. The gentleman says there are no issues. I reply there are three issues and that is why I called you to come ...he doesn't understand me... At this point I have called the Ned Stevens gutter cleaning 1-800 number three times...it's a call center! The people at the call center have a script...I explained that there are issues and that's why I called them originally and the service gentleman doesn't speak English well and claims I have no problems with the gutters and to call the company for an analysis, "yes, we will send someone else out to look at the issues...$$$$$$$" I tell the person that the company is a con artist at adding things to get more money out of people. So $265.00 dollars later, I have no gutter guards, gutters that didn't need cleaning got "cleaned" and I still have the three original problems with my gutters. On May 16th I called to schedule a gutter cleaning . They took my money happily and said they would be out in a couple of days, but they would not tell me when. Fast forward to May 24th and they finally showed up, but called and said they could not do the job because the gate to the fence was locked. I explained to her that that was ridiculous because there are no gutters on the back, only the sides and front, and that the fence was not impeding that at all. She said she would send them back but wasn't sure when. I told her that it would be that day or they were going to refund my money. Two hours later, they showed up. The workers were very nice, although they could barely speak English. After using a mix of words and sign language, we worked out all the problems. They are the only saving grace here because they did an excellent job. Now, I am receiving all these emails about scheduling MORE service for the fall. I will NOT be using this company again and I will NOT be referring them to anyone I know. I have a hard time trusting people who take your money, then mess around for a week before coming up with a lie to explain why they didn't do the service. read more

Stay Away! I walked them around the house for my gutter cleaning. I paid for cleaning and tightening. I showed them 2 spots that needed tightening and where a ball was in the gutter. Nothing was tightened and when I climbed on the ladder, the ball was still in it. Paid for NOTHING! They also tried to upsell me new gutters and said that my brand new roof needed cleaning and my home needed power washing, even though it was just power washed 2 weeks ago. Stay Away! read more

I contacted this company to perform gutter cleaning on May 22. They happily charged my credit card immediately and did not show up until May 30. I was assured that the cleaning service included removal of all debris and cleaning of any debris that ended up on the outside decks. Upon my arrival at home on the 30th, I was informed by my fiancé that she found a notice on the door that the gutters had been cleaned but when she went out to the back deck, there was debris everywhere. She had company coming over and had no choice but to clean it up herself. When I arrived home, I found 3 trash bags of debris on the side of my house. It had not been removed or even placed at the street for the garbage to pick up. Since the next day is trash day, I moved the bags to the street myself so they could be removed. I called Ned Stevens and at first the representative was apologetic, even saying he would send someone back to clean up. Well, I didn't want to wait another week for them to show up and my fiancé had already done the cleaning we paid Ned Stevens to do. The representative then started making excuses saying that "cleaning gutters is a dirty job". That's one reason why I paid good money to have someone else do it and clean up after the job was done. I'm assuming that the gutters are clean. I will know for sure next time it rains. I can't recommend this company. You pay a lot of money and they only do half of what was promised. I have updated my review to 3 stars. The manager of the local Ned Stevens office contacted me, apologized, and corrected the issues. I will give the final product 3 stars because the gutters were very clean. I will use the company again, however, I will schedule the cleaning during a time I can be home so the issues, if any, can be corrected at that time. read more

Called to set up gutter cleaning services for my new home and ask them to also clean the underground system. Signed up for twice\year gutter cleaning and paid in advance. She tried to upsell me, but I declined. They would not give me an exact date that they would be there, but I told them I work full time so if someone needed to be there it would have to be scheduled or on a Saturday. In the interim, I immediately start getting calls and emails wanting to sell me additional services like pressure washing. Already said no once and I said no again. I'm at the grocery store 30 minutes away one Saturday with a cart full of groceries and my son calls to tell me they are there. He said he couldn't understand the guy that came to the door due to his accent, but thought he said something about money. I told him they had been paid and not to worry about it and I'd be home asap. I hurried to finish my shopping and check out. As I'm driving home, my son calls again to tell me they already left and came to the door again and said something about "your mom is too late". I get home, unload groceries, and call the company to ask if there was something they needed and told them what my son thought the guy said. The woman answering stated there was no way they asked for money. Ok... I wasn't accusing anyone just checking. Fast forward to two days later. I'm sitting on my back porch watching it rain. After the sun came back out, I saw light reflecting up onto my eaves. Then I see a bird washing itself IN MY GUTTER. I call the company to tell them water is standing in my gutter near my downspout. Instead of sending anyone else back out, I get a voicemail the next day from the manager. He never addressed the water in the gutter issue, but all but called my son a liar and stated there was no way his people asked for money. He goes on to say that the person on that job was the Area Rep or Area Manager or something to that effect and that he is his best man. Ok.... again...I wasn't accusing anyone I just wanted to make sure we were clear. The voicemail asks me to call back, but I didn't because I have a full time job and was traveling for work at the time. I figured I'd call when I was back in town. Two days later, I get off a plane and check my voicemails. It's the same manager again telling me HE CANCELLED ALL MY FUTURE SERVICES SINCE I COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO CALL HIM BACK. What? I didn't know whether to be angry or laugh at first. I settled on the side of laughter though. Whatever, guy. There are lots of other people I can give my money to. It's not like that company is the only one that cleans gutters. read more

The guys were quick and thorough. After purchasing our home, it appeared that the gutters hadn't been cleaned in YEARS. One phone call to Ned Stevens and they had it done within a few days of scheduling. Our gutters are completely clear and they actually ensured that water ran through each before they left. I have no complaints! We'll definitely be using them again. read more
