iv used ned stevens for over 3 years now but this past winter, due to all the snow we had, we had ice buildup in one of the gutters and it caused water to leak into my house so i called them a month or so ago to fix the issue and they were there the same day to remove the gutter which stopped the issue ned stevens came back out yesterday and installed a new gutter where they had to remove the old one and it looks great over all i had a great experience with ned steven's and definitely recommend them read more

I have used Ned Stevens for many years. Always a good job and good clean up. They will take the debris with them if you request that. Otherwise they will probably leave it at the curb, which is fine unless you're a week away from trash pick- up. They come to my home twice a year, early spring and late fall. They have never tried to bait and switch. This spring, I did have a problem with clean-up. They left a lot of debris in my flower beds and the perimeter of the house, which was so unusual for them. I called, talked to Mike, told him of my displeasure, and he issued me a credit for the next cleaning in the fall for my aggravation, with an apology . When I returned from work the next day, there was a plackard on my door that they had come back, and my debris was cleaned up. They did a great job. Of course they will advise if they see something that they think needs repair, but they are not pushy about it, Just say no, that works. They told me of some staining on the roof, that they have a cleaning service, but I said the roof was about 15+ years old, and he agreed that if wouldn't be worth cleaning if I was going to replace it soon. I find they really are not a high-pressure company. I will continue to use them as long as they give me good service and stand behind their service. Deb B. read more

Awful Gutter company Did not show up on scheduled day came out two days later then said I need a carpenter first after I discussed with them about fascia board needing to be replaced. POOR POOR POOR communication between selling team and installation team. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL Luckily another gutter company is near by and they are installing my new gutters as you read this. read more

They charged me the day I requested service for gutter cleaning. 10 days later after no contact (and after I had to send two separate emails), they called me at 9:15pm and said they couldn't clean my gutters and that I needed much more equipment than they had. We have had other companies do it before with no issues. Very disappointed and hope we get a refund for NO service! read more

I am glad I came on here to read review about Ned Stevens Gutters before I took a chance with themn. They are the most frustratig company to work with ever! They refuse to come out to look at this site first to make sure measurements are correct to replace gutters and downspot. They say they do not do that! REALLY. They will not give you a time or date they will do the job.They told me they will just show up. They also said the estimate is not right they will "walk away from the job" if you do not agree on the high cost then quoted. RED FLAG Their customer service is very arrogant and mean spirited. Great service from the first phone call I made which was a gentleman who stated he was the manager to the guys who came out to do the service. Very easy process I did not have to be home for the service, and my property was left spotless. I will be calling Ned Stevens back in the near future to set up a service plan. read more

BEWARE of their business here. My experience is same as others in Yelp about ridiculous 'upselling' once they arrive. I gave them chance despite poor ratings. Owner (Saeed) quoted price via phone but tried to sell annual package first; finally lowered price to hook me in trial service; later began getting on roof with hose setup briefly. Finally, they call their manager to call me to sell gutters are "too dirty" then try to charge significantly more to remove ALL my leaf guards too...and NOT reinstall them. ABSURD! Why is such basic question of gutter-guards NOT asked when they quote?!? Professional? Also, defeats purpose homeowners spend on gutter guards and their removal only guarantees faster clog of more leaves for them to clean soon after. 12 years in my house I never seen this problem on other 2 other services used. Cheaper price was a red flag -- to hustle customer. I refused their work and quickly asked Ned Stevens workers to leave my property since I only reward business of same costs who had integrity upfront with customers. Waste of your time. Their low Yelp ratings are understandable to me now. BEWARE! *******UPDATE: Shane M from company just responded below with an inconsistent defensive view hours later with inaccurate information contrary to screen-prints I saved as proof to such misrepresentation. They allege a 4 star rating-- but you will note Yelp accurately displays only 2.5 stars. Shane claims 92 Reviews-- but only 52 reviews are recognized legitimately. Again, facts still remain my poor experience is consistent with others customers and company did nothing to accommodate their new customer by using business logic to honor their quoted price instead of wasting their 2 employees time/travel/etc and chose to earn $0 with a lost customer instead of honest day work while already on site to clean common gutters (--their job). The guys show up, do a great job and leave my bill at the door. Easy peasy. And if they come at a bad time -- really early on a weekend, for example -- they are happy to come back another time if I ask. And now that the phone reps don't try to hard-sell me on home improvements or high-cost repairs (long, old story), I am quite pleased with them. read more

I tried to reschedule the next service call for the fall instead of them conning in June and was met with a very aggressive sales pitch. I was trying to be polite but firm with the telephone person but she kept pushing. Finally I change my tone and firmly said NO!!!! If you like high pressure they are your type of people. Wow.. I guess I was lucky that I had no issues with their service after reading the reviews. I recently hired them to clean my gutters out in the middle of nowhere PA, & they did :) I didn't have to be present while they worked on the house so I was happy that I didn't need to take time off work. The cost is pricey, but it is what it is out in the Poconos. read more

Would give no stars if possible. Showed up to my house unannounced and not authorized. Charged me a bill and would "give me half off for the inconvenience". Manager was extremely rude and refused to admit their mistake. The only proof that anyone was at my home was the door tag and the fact that they left my storm door wide open making it look like someone broke into my home when I got home from work. I called a month ago for a problem that needed to be fixed immediately, but they would not come because it was 'too cold'.... I got someone else to fix it. I have been using Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning for a few years now and decided to write a review for them after our last service.  Im on a four time a year service plan, so I get my gutters cleaned twice in the fall.  I think they do a really great job, two guys come out and bag up all the garbage in my gutters and leave it by the street.  Not sure how long it takes them but I don't really care because it keeps me off the roof.  As long as my gutters work and there aren't any major issues that I don't know about, I'm good with it.  I highly recommend them if you are interested in a gutter company that is courteous, efficient, and always available. read more

They recently came to my home and serviced my gutters and repaired exactly what I requested for the price quoted. When they showed up they were very polite, went about their work, and I recommend them highly. They also found a few issues with my system that I was unaware of and emailed me an estimate that turned out to be very reasonable. Great job with the gutters. However, for the price I would have expected your crew to hall away the trash they pulled out of the gutters. Instead they left the bags on the street in front of my mailbox. And of course, they were run over and smeared all over the street. To Shane M of Ned Stevens.. even though the public cant see this because you have made it only visible to me, I'll respond to you.. You were called because your repair didnt fix the issue. You stated yesterday that you operate in a way that would have your people come out to clean the rear gutters at a cost first, then provide an estimate to fix them, THEN look at that issue you were paid to fix in Feb. Oddly no estimate for any repairs to the rear of the house ever materialized and you had weeks to do that AND my MIL told you nails were popping out on the call you sent me the recording of. You also state in your response that you EVEN came back AFTER the July 19th "cleaning" to address the issue you were paid to fix in Feb, which was the reason my MIL called to complain about in the first place. When I called for service it was late November 2017. I think I called on a Tuesday and asked for them to come the following week. I was told they would come out as soon as they could. I told them that if they came to early that the gutters would be full again, they said then they would come out again. I said that makes no sense but OK. They came the next day(SOUNDS GOOD BUT NOT FOR ME)and the next week the gutters were full again. When I called they said that they would come out again , weather permitting. Well, since then the weather has not permitted them to come. I asked for a refund because I wasn't satisfied.My request was denied. We used Ned Stevens' gutter cleaning service for a few years. Their work crews were okay but not great: gunk from the gutters would be thrown on the lawn, on the deck, and in the pond and they'd leave a little garbage bag in the street in front of the mailbox. Sometimes the outdoor tap would be left on. We eventually cancelled the automatic 5x per year cleaning, because we found we didn't need it. After that, we would schedule one cleaning and they'd leave a bill requesting us to approve the next cleaning, then their crew would show up anyway two weeks later and leave another bill when no work had been done. A whole season of complaints went unanswered while they continued to bill us every two to three weeks. We finally cancelled the service. For two years now they have continued to call! Each time we answer we ask to be removed from their list. They called again this morning and identified themselves as "Your gutter cleaning service," asking to confirm our next appointment. I've had it with this company. I'm ready to file formal complaints with the BBB and the FCC for the constant calls. read more

I hired Ned Stevens company to clean my gutters. Today I came home to find a package on my steps ( the breast pump we had been waiting for ). As I got closer I saw that the package was soaking wet. I look up at my door to find the Ned Stevens door tag saying that they were there. So what I'm think happened is UPS dropped my package before Ned Stevens got there. Now I say to myself how hard would it have been to grab the package and place it in a safe dry place until you finish cleaning my gutters (4lbs. package) The pump is safe since it was air sealed in plastic but that's not the point. Have a little more respect for people's things. Btw they moved the package to open my storm door and put their hanger. And then put it up against the door again. Very professional! Extremely disappointed that when I signed up for automatic annual renewal of gutter cleaning service in March of 2017, I was charged for 2018 on Dec. 9th of 2017. Didn't expect to have to pay twice in one calendar year, let alone 2 weeks before Christmas. Not cool at all. read more

Well, like most people here I am very dissatisfied with Ned Stevens. They DRAGGED the hose all over my roof and damaged the stacks and so many shingles that the roof leaked and I had to pay for a big repair. They of course denied damaging the roof. And they also dented my gutters then wanted to replace them for a monstrous charge. When I cancelled my contract I also told them they were too expensive and they offered a reduced rate. Really? So you are happy to gouge people until they complain. Bye-bye! I found a local man who does it. Unlike the Ned Stevens workers he speaks English and is a legal resident of the US. read more

This company is basically a bait and switch. I would advise everyone to avoid them. I had called to ask them to give me a quote to clean my gutters. She said that she would look up my house on the internet and give me a quote based on the information she found. Her quote was $134 and gave me $25 off the first cleaning. I signed up for the package of 4 cleanings a year. After the first cleaning, when it was time for the second cleaning, she called to tell me that the first estimate was too low, that it would now cost $170 per cleaning. I questioned the increase and she said my approximately 2400 sq ft traditional two-story had more gutters than she originally thought. Because they did a good job, I reluctantly agreed and had them come a second time. After the second cleaning she called me again and told me that the new price increase of $170 was too low and that the third cleaning would cost $300. That's an over 200% increase over the original quote and almost doubled after the adjustment of price for the second cleaning!! That is completely ridiculous! I could understand a company having to adjust a price if the first quote was sight unseen, but after they had already been to my house twice for service, (increasing the price each time) they wanted to increase the price even more for the third cleaning. A reputable company would not keep changing their price after seeing a job several times already. What is the point of offering an annual agreement if the price will increase substantially for each subsequent cleaning? read more

TERRIBLE. If a gutter cleaning company leans their ladders against your gutter and damages it.... then wants to charge YOU to repair it... there is a problem. Contracted Ned to clean my gutters on 4000sqft home. When they finished they left all the debris on my back deck. My wife told the field supervisor who moved it to the front of our house with no bags. My town does not allow curbside debris so we called them to complain and have them return to at least bag the debris as well as take it away. They came back once but did not bring any bags so they left. We then got cold weather and they were unable to return. After 3 calls the service dept said the debris was not from the gutters and they would not be removing it. There customer service is a joke as all th try to do is upsell services and get long term commitments for gutter cleaning. The service rep offered me a $25.00 voucher for future services, I laughed as I would NEVER use this company again. When they were smaller and ownership was involved they we're a much nicer and better company. read more

Very displeased with this service. Called on a friday afternoon due to gutter and fascia coming off of my home due to ice melting after the massive amount of snow we've had in this area. I was charged over $600 for the repair and was told they would get to me as soon as possible. Well today is Tuesday and no one has shown up yet. I called them and they said that since there is snow on the ground that they would be unable to fix anything until it melted as it posed a safety issue. Given the two feet of snow on the ground I doubt they would get to me anytime soon, but they were sure quick to charge me and try to upsell me on their $4000 seasonal gutter cleaning, without telling me that they wouldn't/couldn't do any work I allied them for in the foreseeable future. read more

Very happy with the service! I have to call for service when I need it due to a massive tree next door to me that drops a lot of leaves, tumbleweeds, nuts. 2 men arrived and went right to work. The one on top of the 2nd story worked very hard and was meticulous about getting all the debris out of all the gutters. He ran the hose through the gutters, checked the water and gutters again for dirt and leaves and nuts, then ran water again until he was certain the gutters were clear. He didn't see me checking on his work. The guy on the ground picked up all the junk that was on the ground from the gutters and didn't leave anything behind, I am super picky about cleanliness because I work very hard doing my own landscaping. They even removed branches that were on my roof from the monster tree next door-i can't get up there so I really appreciate that extra help! I have to say these 2 men worked very hard on my house gutters to make sure they were clean. Very GOOD work ethic! I want these 2 guys back every time I need my gutters cleaned! What is a big issue is that their gutter cleaning crew, and main office in Fairfield, claimed I needed a new gutter at a quoted cost of about $370. I, and my roofer who checked out the gutter today, completely disagree. Something is not right there. read more

They are crooks. They came to my house before the leaves fell and, without authorization, they charged me $240 for cleaning my gutters. However, they did not clean my gutters, because they were already clean. And then they had the gall to "recommend" that they come back at the end of November. Crooks. read more
