When I asked what the processes were that made up the price (not because I was complaining but because I was actually curious) I was rushed off the phone. When I told him I would find another company Dave almost sounded happy to lose the business telling me it didn't matter because he had plenty of customers including one that was walking in the door just then. Growing up and going into different shops with my grandfather I saw hard working people that couldn't thank the customer enough for giving them business. Now we have people working in these shops that could care less about who they do or don't help. It's really a shame because I was relieved to find an actual machine shop that was somewhat local. I will never ever pick up the phone again to call this place and neither should anyone else. I hope they lose customers with the kind of attitude I as a brand new customer was given...

Crank grinding is a specialty, including stroker cranks. It helps if you know, and can explain exactly what your needs and performance goals are. Once you do, they'll get your engine to perform to that level. They can do block repairs. Not a lot of shops around with that capability. They do complete machining and rebuilding of any make of engine for everyday cars & trucks, and industrial engines as well. They've been in business here for over 35 years.
