I dropped off the cylinders from my jet ski a couple weeks ago.. They said that they would be done last week... They weren't.. I stopped in to pick them up this morning, and take them to an actual machine shop.. The little old man behind the counter refused to return them.. called Hunt's Machine to ask some simple questions about the way their process works because I have an engine that I want checked for any imperfections. I was told it was going to cost a few hundred just for them to tear down the engine. When I asked what the processes were that made up the price (not because I was complaining but because I was actually curious) I was rushed off the phone. When I told him I would find another company Dave almost sounded happy to lose the business telling me it didn't matter because he had plenty of customers including one that was walking in the door just then. Growing up and going into different shops with my grandfather I saw hard working people that couldn't thank the customer enough for giving them business. Now we have people working in these shops that could care less about who they do or don't help. It's really a shame because I was relieved to find an actual machine shop that was somewhat local.
