Our daughter tests at almost 2 full grades ahead and I feel strongly that is because of the curriculum she had at OSS. My son is about to start TK so the jury is still out, but I know he is well prepared for starting public school because of his time at Shining Stars. Miss Yesi and Miss Drea were a huge part of our time at the school. They are attentive, so sweet, and love on the kids like their own. OSS uses the Brightwheel App that has photos of your kiddo doing activities, logs what is for breakfast/lunch/snack, when naps happen, etc. The owner, Miss Shams, is also a gem and goes above and beyond for the kids, families, and the school. You won't regret sending your child to Shining Stars. They're top notch!

Our daughter thrived in her classrooms with Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Marlene, and Ms. Kerry. They were consistently kind, patient, and inspiring, helping her gain confidence, make friends, and develop new skills. She is now heading into kindergarten so ready and excited, and that's all thanks to the incredible foundation Big Future has given her. Our son also had a wonderful start in the Tiny Todds program with Ms. Marissa and Ms. Michelle. The 3rd - 5th grades teach nothing, contain no rigor, have no Catholic teaching, lack classroom management, and the teachers are not credentialed (as indicated). The curriculum is a bunch of supplemental material & the administrator follows common core instead of classical curriculum, which most Catholic schools adhere to in order to set them apart from public school. The middle school math teacher is excellent. The language arts teacher is awful. This school lacks true Catholic doctrine and allows non-Catholic students to take the host. A true disappointment to the San Diego dioceses of schools.

I have never seen or heard of a preschool comparable to First Pres. Every kid feels like they are the only one in that school. Every teach knows your kid - its all our kids talk about when they come home. The parents you meet and befriend are amazing we can't say enough about what this place has meant to us as a family.
