We absolutely love Zion, both the preschool/kindergarten and the Learning Center. We have 2 kids, one in each. Teachers and staff are wonderful. Campus is beautiful. Kids can learn and thrive academically while having a lot of fun and making friends in a safe and beautiful environment. Teacher/student ratios are great. If I could give Zion 100stars I would in a heartbeat! The family at Zion has been immeasurable support with my two young daughters and they have been so happy and excited to go to school every day. My husband got brain cancer and sadly ascended to Heaven making me a single mom of 3 and then my house burnt so we didn't have a roof over our heads for a bit. Zion made a decision to donate a year of school time to my youngest which helped me out tremendously through this rough passage and I can't thank them enough. The teachers and staff are all so kind and happy, definitely a second family to us!! I don't know what I would have done without this amazing community and support around us. When I say I have toured nearly every preschool in North County, I am not exaggerating. My youngest is my most social and easy going and I still could not find a place where she would shine till I found Zion. The smaller classes with two teachers gives her the attention she craves. They are constantly doing seasonal and educational crafts and experiments. The art work that comes home is actually hard to throw away because it's so cute and so creative. The love they have for her is monumental. The communication is top notch. I get responses to my messages in honestly more 3-5 minutes. They are super transparent about anything and everything. The school is always clean, the classrooms are vibrant and well decorated in a welcoming way. The school is gated- The playground is gated. I have never once worried about leaving her in their care. There have been other schools we've liked and attended but this is by far the best place either of my kids have been. She is always happy to go and always in the best mood when I pick her up. She's already learning letters and numbers and knows her colors. They do music and dancing. It's truly the best preschool. Cannot recommend it more. read more

Zion Christian preschool and kindergarten is an absolute gem! My daughter first attended the 2's and 3'a class and we absolutely loved it. They teach children to put God first and show them how to love and respect one another. Their precious values help them grow to their fullest potential. My daughter is now in their kindergarten program and is doing amazing . The small class sizes create such a nurturing environment and allow my daughter to get that one on one help when she needs it. The outside playground is definitely one of my favorite things about this preschool/kindergarten . It allows my daughter to be creative, adventurous, and explore the outdoors. They have a mud kitchen, a gazebo for dramatic play & building and a beautiful garden. My daughter comes home telling me about everything she made such as potions, soup, a cake from mud, leaves and old flower petals. When in season, the playground gets filled with beautiful butterfly's and allows the children to learn more about the butterfly life cycle . I'm glad my daughter gets lots of nature play at kindergarten! The teachers really are amazing. They go above and beyond to teach the kids academically and spiritually. We love Zion! Our daughter is in her 6th year at Zion, two years of pre-school, K, 1st, 2nd and now 3rd grade. We feel the education she is getting is outstanding. Her annual test scores back up that opinion. The small class sizes allow teachers to develop and apply individualized programs for each child in each discipline. Our daughter is now doing 4th grade work. The atmosphere is refreshing. The kids all know each other and help one another. The older ones mentor the younger. The school is convenient to town and the campus is warm, safe place for learning and play. If you are looking for a Christian education, you won't find a better one. Our daughter is enrolled in the preschool program and she loves it! This school has a sense of community that is structured around happiness and togetherness. The director Lana is fabulous. All the staff members welcome you with warmth and open arms. My daughter goes 2 days a week and asks me everyday "is today a school day?" Her teacher Miss. Linda is spectacular, has so much patience and respect for the children. She is kind gentle and considerate. We couldn't have asked for a better school. We have loved Zion Lutheran School for 14 continuous years. More importantly, our kids have loved Zion and all it has to offer. My daughter is currently enrolled and is not a member of the Church. She has thrived academically and spiritually in this safe Christian environment with teachers that she absolutely loves. Every teacher has been incredible. They have the expertise and experience to teach at the highest level. My child will leave here well prepared for high school. The size of the school is smaller than years past due to the economy but I like it that way. I would be selfish though if I didn't share and encourage others to come see for themselves. Zion Lutheran has been wonderful for our sons both spiritually, academically and personally. I love the one-on-one attention, smaller sized classes which make it easier for the teacher to pace the children at their OWN pace and not have every child follow the same tempo throughout the school year. Teachers truly are caring, exceptional teachers and individuals. I couldn't be happier with our decision to send our children to Zion. It's THEE gem as far as schools go here in Fallbrook. My child attends Zion and is thriving! We chose this school based on the high academics of the faculty. Every teacher has a college degree from pre-school through eighth grade...some with Master's. That means a lot to me as a parent. Zion values education as well as Christian values. The academics are spot on...because of small class size, the teacher can individualize instruction based on personal needs and strengths and weaknesses. The teachers give so much of themselves to not only the students, but also to the parents. The environment is safe and loving. The school has a real family feeling to it. The students know each other and are learning such nice values. Teachers from each grade know every student regardless of grade. It is such a peaceful and conducive facility to embark on a successful educational journey. I can't imagine anyplace else. I highly recommend Zion Lutheran to anyone in North County! We moved to Fallbrook in September 2014 and I had been researching private schools in the area for almost a year prior. We decided on Zion because of a combination of factors. A Chistian education, a very dynamic website with lots of great information including every teacher's training and background, and a "gut" feeling were our top 3 factors. We are very happy with our new school. Everyone is friendly, class sizes are small, kids are very safe and contained there. Our children are glad to get up and go to school everyday. My son is soon to be an 8th grader at Zion and has been a student here since the 2nd half of the Kindergarten school year. He previously attended another Christian school, but his dad and I pulled him from the school when his Kindergarten teacher informed us her career path and focus was not for teaching. We knew of Zion, but at the time, logistically it didn't work with our career schedules. Shame on us! This was our first significant lesson in parenting. You must look inside your heart and sacrifice anything and everything in order to raise a good, Christian child. Nobody said it would be convenient or easy and this was an eye opener for both of us. With this experience, I truly believe everything happens for a reason and God works in mysterious ways leading us back to Zion. Since my son has been at the school, he has not been the only one who has strengthened his Christian Faith. As a family, we were your typical "2 Day a year, holiday church goers- Christmas and Easter". It wasn't until my son came home from school one day in 1st Grade, that his father and I realized the profound impact his teacher, and the Christian environment he was in everyday had on shaping the person he was becoming. He had waited all year long for his chance to bring in a "Share and Tell" item which was special to him. At the beginning of the week, his teacher sent home a large fabric bag for him to carry his item in. I asked him several times what he was going to take with him to school. Each time, he said he wanted to think about it all the while I was pushing for his favorite toy, game, etc. On the last morning, he finally told his dad and me what he was taking to school with him. This seven year old boy sat at the kitchen table and in a very matter of fact way told us he was taking the empty bag back to school. We were both in shock when he let us know the empty bag symbolized the empty tomb of when Jesus rose from the dead to save us from our sins. Ok, another life lesson for his parents! This was the push we both needed to come back to Christ and to start living and walking the talk of a Christian life we always thought we were living. After 8 years of not only being taught Christian values, my son is also receiving an incredible education. There were 12 students in his class for 7th grade and all have been on the honor roll at one time or another. If you are wondering, his teachers through 7th grade have been amazing! His 6th grade teacher, not only made it a point to know him in 1st grade, but every year had been counting down the days until she would be his teacher! All of our teachers take the time to get to know ALL students from Pre-School on up. I know some of the younger parents might not know this comparison, but I have always thought Zion was a lot like the TV series Cheers. When he would walk past a teacher, starting in Kindergarten, they would all call out to him by name and it kind of reminded me of when Norm would walk into Cheers and everyone would shout out "Norm". It was funny, because for the first year, I would constantly ask him who is that teacher or staff member and how do they know you? I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing? It finally dawned on me this school is a prime example of "It takes a village to raise a child!" All the teachers and support staff are here because they feel it is their calling to partner with parents and Christ in raising our children in a Christian environment. This school is truly built and runs on the love of teaching, but more importantly, the love of Christian Faith. Teaching is a calling and no one travels this path in order to become wealthy. They teach because they truly love what they do and how they shape a person's life and future. I can't help but be in awe of the fact that when the economy took a turn for the worse, my son's fourth grade teacher, came out of retirement after 40+ years of teaching to volunteer to teach his class. She taught for 2 years without pay. She did this unselfishly to keep the school open for the benefit of our children and the health of their Christian Faith. Our Church Family here at Zion also embraces and supports the school! Our little Christian school in Fallbrook is like the little engine that could! It is only fair I also mention the incredible parent and church volunteers who help to bring projects like fundraisers across the goal line every time! All of our sports teams are coached by volunteers, parents and church members alike. There is nothing more amazing than to watch these kids huddle together and pray before a game! I know that each and every family goes through personal and financial sacrifice to send their children to Zion. Know this, it is entirely worth it! Our expectations were high, coming from a Christian and Private school in Los Angeles, and Zion Lutheran School was the perfect match. We were looking for academics and discipline and Zion delivered both and more! The teachers' years of experience is inspirational! The safe environment has given our daughter a place to shine.
