It took a while for him to but he went the extra mile to find the cars and fix it and only charge me for the parts. Details: He flushed the radiator, but the coolant reservoir was completely empty the next day. He overfilled the engine oil. He didn't check the PCV valve. I swapped it the next day, and the valve was completely clogged. This $20 easily replaceable part can cause a lot of trouble to your engine and should have been checked during the service. Jim didn't mention it and didn't check it. He didn't flush brake fluid. When I asked him why, he said, "it's a waste of money". I measured water content in break fluid and it was in the red. I took it to a different mechanic, they said break fluid was dirty and in need of immediate replacement. The rear break pads were gone. Breaks were listed on Jim's invoice as checked. I had to swap them at the other mechanic. So everything that I could check didn't check out. Use at your own risk.

When a new problem appeared, such as a screw holding together an ignition coil that definitely wasn't there before we took the car to the mechanic next door, they were quick to explain the problem and tell me how much more it was going to cost to fix, which incidentally was a lot but we were all in on getting Mobby the whip whip running at that point anyway. Took him back recently for other issues and they took good care of us again. Mobby got a new battery and Anthony, I'm sure spent an ungodly amount of time trying to figure out why our Saab was once again Saabing. They got my driver side window back up when the motor failed even though they couldn't replace the motor because they can't find a replacement motor because Sabbs no longer exist. This time, both a friend of mine and I separately requested and received over the phone a quote for the 40k/Service B5 Mercedes service. We were both quoted $500-something by John. When I arrived, Paul, the owner, handed me an invoice for double that price. When I raised my concern respectfully, Paul did not take accountability once. Instead, he suggested it was a language barrier (maybe because I have an accent) and he kept repeating that we had asked for the wrong service, which is simply not true. Both my friend and I had been very specific on the phone when requesting the quote: Service B5, 40k miles. Quoting one price over the phone and charging another in person is bad business. Gaslighting and refusing to take any accountability, without apologizing once for the confusion, when a customer raises a concern is worse and frankly speaking, makes me feel like this was an intentional "bait and switch". Had I known the invoice would be that high, I would have taken my car to the dealership rather than give my business to an owner who deflected and lied to my face. I won't be back, and I can't recommend a business that treats customers this way. The work itself was fine. The customer relationship was not.
