I was greeted right away and told to pick any seat. There isn't a traditional bar area, just seating throughout the restaurant. The space itself is really cute and welcoming, although it was very quiet with only one other table occupied during my visit. After looking over the menu and hearing both the online praise and my server's recommendation, I decided on the birria plate. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time. One small detail that stood out was the presentation--the consommé was simply spooned onto the plate, which made everything look a bit messy. The birria itself was tender and flavorful, but it still felt like it was missing something that would have made it memorable. The rice was disappointing, using a frozen-style vegetable medley with lima beans, which, in my opinion, didn't belong in the dish. The beans on the side were fine, but nothing particularly noteworthy. At $28, I expected better quality, a more polished presentation, or a larger portion. While the meal wasn't bad, it didn't live up to the glowing reviews or justify the price, and I left feeling underwhelmed.

Upon entering, we only were able to find high table seating on metal, backless stools and one low seater booth. I am physically unable to sit on those high stools due too balance issues because I have had Multiple Sclerosis for 16 years now. I may look " normal" while sitting still but my mobility and balance are an ongoing struggle in my life and has robbed me of so much. My husband got us waters then got in line when i noticed a sign on the table saying to please order before getting a table. My husband was already in line and ready to order and pay for our food. Less than a couple of minutes of me sitting there I was approached by a blonde staff member and she touched the table and asked me if I had someone in line to order. I replied that I did. She then told me that there's a long line building up and that I would need to leave the table because we hadn't yet placed an order. I explained to her that I am disabled ( even though I should not have to even do that ) and that I'm physically unable to sit at the high tables. That the only available low seats, inside and outside, were all taken other than this one booth. She then repeated what I had just told her and then asked again if I could only sit at the low tables, to which I replied yes. I was then told that I needed to leave the table and could go sit on a bench by the door and wait there and that the rules are for everyone regardless of the situation. I was so embarrassed and shocked that I started to tear up and told her that we would leave and went to motion to my husband that we had to go. As soon as we got to the car I started to cry and he was asking what was going on. He was so upset that he went inside to talk to the manager. He explained everything that happened and that I'm disabled and there was nowhere else for me to sit and eat. She apologized and said I could make a reservation to come back later for a low table. He told them no and that I was already embarrassed and crying. I'm trying to figure out how, since there was an open table that accommodated my needs and I was there, why this was such an issue. There was plenty of seating open but the tables were tall. What if there's another person unable to order for themselves because of a disability or they're elderly etc. ? Maybe make all tables low tables if a rule like that is being implemented? The business was happy to take our money but wouldn't give ea place to sit and eat. On a good note, we wound up going to Laughing Planet and had not only excellent service but really good food. I got the Korean BBQ Bowl with chicken, which they happily subbed for me, and it was so fresh and good. I really loved the quick pickles that came on it and would recommend it to anyone to try.

It was a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy and we were able to get a spot in the parking lot without any issues. We were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess and shown a table. We got chips and salsa for free (a staple!) while we looked over the menu. I got the pollo a la crema and my partner got the steak fajitas. My food was great! It came with three tortillas, I got flour. My partner's food also came with three (flour) tortillas. You have a choice of corn or flour when you order. The chicken and crema sauce tasted so good! I wish I had a spoon so I could drizzle the sauce over the chicken in the tortilla but I just ended up dipping it instead and that worked fine. The steak fajitas were also good! The rice and beans were just okay, they didn't seem to have much seasoning and needed a lot more salt. We were seated in a cozy little sunroom with a bar. The whole place looked very clean, even the fake plants way up by the ceiling didn't look dusty at all. The people working here were very nice and attentive. The prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food we got - I have lunch for another day! All in all this was a great spot! I definitely want to try more things on the menu. Just be prepared to have to salt and pepper your rice and beans if you get some.

But for the most part very good the enchiladas are fabulous, the tlayuda delicious and many other meals. I genuinely liked this place. But after tonight, I have to say that the complete lack of respect shown toward the food was mind-blowing. There were three things tonight that simply could not be forgiven. 1. The Ceviche Trio The pulpo was chewy as a bouncy ball wrapped in rubber bands--completely inedible. The fish had no salt, no acidity, and was cut so poorly that I made the joke that the cook must have forgotten his knives at home, thrown it against the wall a few times, and said, "Well, that's good enough." The shrimp was effectively a cheap riff on shrimp cocktail, if they had remembered to clean the shrimp before serving it. I've had better ceviche from Taco Bell. Granted, that was from a vagrant selling what I thought was ceviche outside Taco Bell, so take that for what it's worth. Either way, it was loads better. I hope it was fish. 2. The Al Pastor Tacos -- "Served Table-Side" When you read that something is being served table-side, you imagine someone coming out of the kitchen with beautifully marinated, succulent pork piled high on a proper trompo, topped with pineapple, slowly roasting and caramelizing away as you wait for it to be carved right there at your table. Instead, out comes a busser with a trompito, spinning a metal skewer and attempting to give the meat some sort of roasted effect with a blowtorch emblazoned with "Ace Hardware." He then passes me this metal box containing room-temperature, dry pork that tasted like it was made with a seasoning packet. Not to mention there was no practical way to eat it. You basically had to tear the meat from the skewer with your hands because the apparatus was so cumbersome. If the butter knife provided had actually been capable of cutting the meat, it would have fallen directly into my lap. It was as if they took the iconic mid-century dish made famous in Mexico City and decided to serve it à la Easy-Bake Oven. This was an absolute failure of a dish from concept to execution. 3. The Pork Fajitas We have all had and loved fajitas: sizzling meat, onions, and peppers arriving at the table still sizzling away. This was not that. This was stew meat in a puddle of broth. Soggy and overcooked, with no caramelization and barely any flavor. One Positive My brother said his pork belly tacos were nice. And honestly, that's part of what makes tonight so disappointing. We've been here several times. I genuinely liked this place. I understand that not every dish is going to be a winner, and I've certainly had meals here where I thought, "Well, I won't order that again." But tonight wasn't a matter of one disappointing dish. It was three dishes that felt like nobody involved had any respect for what they were supposed to be.
